“Go there for the delightful setting on the Umpqua river, but also for the tasty food. Recently I tried their jumbo fried clams and they were the best fried clams I’ve ever tasted, and I order them whenever and wherever I can. The service is friendly and it’s just a great atmosphere. In winter overlook the river from inside but in warmer weather enjoy beers out on the deck. Usually I don’t write reviews but The Schooner is a place I think couples and even families can enjoy!“

“The food has always been pretty good. And most times we get a nice Waitress. There is one that gets a little nasty with the customers on the phone and in the restaurant. I am hoping she got courtesy lessons. We do like the food and do take out as well as dining in. Although I think it is better in resturant. Nice and hot and plated up“

“Had lunch while watching the Ducks play on their TV screens. Tasty Ketch-all sandwich & onion rings. Everything just fine, very good with one exception: the portions seem to have gotten smaller. Probably due to the rise in prices for everything during this covid pandemic. Recommend? Yes.“

“Stopped in tonight and had the best burger and fries in Brookings. When Vista Pub closed I was heartbroken because their burgers and fries were amazing. This food was equally impressive. I can't wait to go back. Joe, the owner/chef, was very nice to chat with. If you like amazing burgers, The Little Trolley Food Truck is the place.“

“An absolute gem. The atmosphere was wonderful and inviting. We had the privilege of having a waitress that was the mother to the other waitress working. Those two were hilarious. They are a dynamic team. Service was outstanding. What a fun group!!!!“

“Well I gotta tell ya, if you’re anywhere near Reedsport an yer hungry this place is the bomb for Clam chowder. I would venture to say this is my all time favorite place for Clam chowder bowl. They are hard to beat. - Also can’t say enough about the fresh from the ocean large oysters. Yum yum for sure!! Be kind to yourself and mark this place on GMaps for a destination for seafood, etc. I do not drink anymore but they also have a very respectable and lots of selections of your favorite beers. Have fun…👍“

“Best breakfast I’ve had all year from a restaurant! The sausage patty was amazing , eggs done perfectly and the hash browns were fantastic. Breakfast for two under 25 bucks in a clean environment! Well worth a visit here for anyone!“

“A bar setting with the best Halibut Fish and Chips ever! Hand battered quality halibut. Totally worth the wait. Again it’s a bar atmosphere and busy with limited staff. Waitress/ owner was very busy yet friendly / fun and had a great sense of humor. Again worth the wait!“
