“Westside is without question the best taphouse in Salem. Great variety of beers, ciders, and wines that skew PNW local. Almost always something new and unique to try. Small selection of cans & bottles to go. Friendly staff & nice atmosphere. Year round outdoor seating as well.

“The Phily Cheese Steak sandwich was delicious. So were the fries. Low key - we were there at lunch with our grandson - and it was easy to hear and to visit with each other. It's near our home, a bonus. It's not the dive that we remember from 20 years ago (we're slow to give bad experiences a second chance when there are so many options in town.) We'll go for lunch again and take some friends with us.“

“This review is to help fellow foosball players. This may be the only Tornado table in town. With a little care this table could easily be cleaned up, leveled a little, and made into a league table. Some of the balls could stand to be replaced, but there are at least 9 of them. The cost is $.50 a game, and the table is unlocked.
The atmosphere of the bar is ok, about what you would expect, but there is plenty of room around the table for play on most nights I would think. I was surprised and happy to find this table as the website for the bar only mentioned that there was some other brand of table, not a Tornado table. Thanks to the owners for bringing Salem a good place to play.“

“Didn't eat, stopped in to regroup, stretch, and refresh. Out of towner but the atmosphere was fun, friendly and not uninviting, the sounds of people enjoying themselves, chatting, and decompressing from their days made for a familiar environment in an unfamiliar place. Good job.“

“Went here last month to celebrate a family member turning 21. It was a super good time and the bartender was super nice and helpful and made me a drink that he's never made before. It was really awesome sitting at the bar and being able to watch sports up close. The food was pretty darn good. I would also recommend this place because the price wasn't half bad either.

“This has been such a happy surprise. Bethany the bartender has the best energy and way w all the customers. Rita’s Taco Truck is phenomenal, my mouth is watering just thinking about their food, Able and his mom are a DREAM TEAM. Only reason I didn’t give five stars across the board is because the smoking area is rather large and the smell can be smelled inside.“

“Just moved to the area and have been picking random spots to try out in hopes to find something good. After running some errands I stumbled upon South Liberty. Walking in it was quiet and full of what are seemingly locals. My first impression was how clean everything is. Upon sitting at the bar I ordered a drink and checked out the food menu. I ordered the meatball sub and hamburger soup. I had a drink and by the time I was done my food was out. The soup was a 10/10 which was a pleasant surprise and the meatball sub was huge and I was surprised I finished it but it was too good. Service was great and friendly. Feels like a good welcoming neighborhood bar. I will definitely be back.“

As a customer it's nice to walk into a place like this and have the employees acknowledge you, ask if you would like something to drink right away. For a long time that didn't happen. Lately it's been happening and also is backed with a cheerful employee with a smile almost every time. 👍“

“I realize today is Christmas Eve. I know they close at 5 o'clock, but it's almost 9:30 in the morning and there's nobody there. I sat there for 15 minutes, 1520 minutes, thinking that it would be open. I hope everybody's okay or you decide to take the day off, that's great.“

“But in this place twice in last month both times I hit pretty good on the poker machines how to spend a little bit of money to get it but still my boyfriend however didnt do very well, I hit a flush at Max bet within the fever I got seven flushes so seven more fevers there's only two that I tried that I did not get but for Max bet and only playing 250 out not a very good payout I would expect a little bit more but that's just Oregon lottery for you but other than that the people who work there are very nice and it's pretty laid back and welcoming I guess you could say“

“I'm giving it a 4 out of 5 for a couple reasons. There is an two individuals that work during the day that have been great nothing like over the top up your ass type of waiting on you but definitely attentive to people's needs friendly and seem genuinely like they are there and just good people. However we had one experience in the evening time that my boyfriend could not stand the bartender which I don't disagree we never got service except for we went up there and she served us the most expensive tequila there was after we asked for Jose cuervo and we were told that they don't carry that so we said we'll give us something different she gave us something that was $18 is insane. And then never came and waited on us were checked on us after that. All she seemed to care about was one of the guys sitting on the other side of the bar. So I'm going to give it a 4 out of 5 and be generous because of the day shift people. It's a guy and a really nice girl.“

“It's a very small bar, and it feels a bit cramped, especially when karaoke gets started. The bartender on a Saturday was quick and friendly. The drink prices were average. So if you like a well tended bar, but don't mind a crowd, this is a good place to have a drink.“

“Staff was prompt and responsive. I ordered the Prime Rib Special. It came out remarkably fast. Medium rare as requested. Unfortunately the baked potato was over done and yet cool. The prime rib was lukewarm. The horseradish sauce was off- I can’t tell why but it had a peculiar flavor that should not have been there. Seasoning of the prime rib was on point and so was the zip sauce. I wasn’t feeling up to potential confrontation so when they asked how the food was I just said good. With prime rib it’s hard because if they warmed it then it might not have come back medium rare…also there was no steak knife but again I didn’t ask“
