El Sol de Mexico is our family's favorite restaurant. We were saddened when the store in Tualatin closed. The store in Tigard is a longer drive, but the food is worth the drive. We have always been greeted warmly and feel like family. The food is wonderful and portions are generous. In over 25-years we have never been disappointed in the food or the service.
My office is right around the corner. We always have a great experience. Highly recommended! Fast. Delicious and great service.

Then in 2012 I became a widow.
I then moved to southern oregon.
I found myself in the neighborhood and knew I had to come here for lunch.
The food was just as I remembered. DELICIOUS.
I'm already planning on my next visit.
Still the same owner and bless his heart, he still remembered me.
This is a must to stop for the most delicious Mexican food in Tigard oregon 😋

Based on reviews, El Sol de México offers great food and service. The tortilla soup is a favorite, and the mole enchiladas have a delicious sweet mole sauce. The chile relleno is tasty, and the husband loved his enchiladas. The beans were off the hook, and the guacamole was good. Pico de gallo was very generous, and there are plenty of chips and rice. Portions are big, and they keep refilling chips. The hospitality is a nice touch, with a warm welcome and sweet vibes. The staff provided excellent service, even making a breakfast burrito that was not on the menu. It is a perfect place for a family night or date night. El Sol de Mexico is a family favorite for over 25 years. The food is wonderful, and they have never been disappointed. The store in Tigard is worth the drive.
