“Hi, I have been a customer at this location for years. I know that there is a lot of foot traffic and people here daily, but I have noticed lately that the place just looks overall dirty. Floors need mopping, tables have crumbs on them, napkins not filled, bases of tables looked dirty. You all charge quite a bit for your coffee. You need to spend some time cleaning your coffee shop. Not sure if there is new management?? not managing, but please do a little better cleaning. Mop your floors!!“

“This place is just the best. Cute, quiet, and run by the nicest volunteer staff you could imagine. They roast their own beans, make all their own syrups, and source tasty snacks locally. they’ve got delicious vegan options that actually feel creative and satisfying. My oat milk chai latte was absolute perfection (creamy, not too sweet, with just the right ginger kick), and the breakfast burrito was crispy, warm, and fennel-forward for those who love it.

The space has great vibes. beautiful aesthetics, plenty of outlets, and the kind of calm that makes you want to stay and read or draw for hours. Parking was a breeze in the gravel lot, and prices are super reasonable

“Truly a perfect coffee shop, and my favorite in Portland. I loved working at Wallflower when I lived in the area, and have so enjoyed visiting in more recent months. The coffee is consistently excellent, they’re open early, the staff is kind, and the space is cozy with plenty of seating. (They also have WiFi.)“

“Pretty solid coffee with lots of fancy flavor options to choose from as well. I did not get to try the banh mi as I came in at 7 AM and was very likely the first person in.

I did try the donuts and while they weren’t terrible, They weren’t exactly what I expected when I see the word donut. They were dense and smooth and cool temp wise, lol I really can’t think of anything to compare them with!

The black sesame coffee was absolutely delicious, but there was a ton of grits left at the bottom of the cup.“

“Slowbomb is on my regular rotation because they have great coffee and they know what to do with it. The breakfast sandwich menu makes this place a one stop shop in the morning. You can text your sandwich order in ahead of time to make your stop more efficient as well. Cookies and pup cups too!“

“Really nice cute little coffee shop, we had a cortado (good, nothing super special), a cardamom bun (the pastries come from the poppy shop), it was pretty yummy, I would order it again, and a small iced matcha latte. The matcha wasn’t well mixed, the powder collected at the bottom. That wasn’t so nice.

It’s located at a park by the waterfront which was beautiful for a stroll. They also give you glass jars for $1 deposit for to go, instead of throwaway cups. Also had some cute little tables outside in the sun, and a small window table inside.“

“This cute little spot is very hip (in the black metal seating and minimalism decor sort of way), very cute. I got the famed marionberry poptart which lived up to the hype. I got a season pistachio drink that ended up being a little too sweet for my taste (I was told it was slightly sweet but was surprised when it was full blown). Latte art was beautiful. The barista was wonderfully helpful and gave a full rundown of the offerings. This is not a work in a coffee shop sort of cafe. The tables are small yet cute. Better to plan for a short visit.“

So I wandered into Cinco Siete PDX expecting a decent cup of coffee, and left questioning every other latte I've ever consumed. The cardamom rose latte? It's like your mouth got invited to a fancy garden party hosted by someone with excellent taste in spices. I don’t know who thought to combine cardamom and rose, but I’m convinced they might be a genius or a wizard. Possibly both.

The outdoor patio is also a vibe. Spacious, laid-back, and filled with the kind of energy that makes you want to stay for “just one more coffee” until suddenly you’ve been there for three hours, contemplating getting a plant and maybe writing a novel.

Great drinks, great spot, zero regrets. Unless your regret is not ordering two lattes.“

“I’m a professional barista and am jealous that I don’t work here. It’s gorgeous and nestled within an active community that clearly cares about itself. It used to be called something else and closed a few years ago, reopening as Floyd’s- which I hear is a vast improvement from the last place. The baristas were kind, patient, and friendly. Now, the coffee- it’s fine. I ordered a plain 8oz latte (whole milk) and it had some sort of oaty undertone and lacked any depth or real espresso taste. It was just weird! Not sure what espresso beans they use but I also had their drip coffee on a different visit and it was fine. TLDR; vibes great, espresso needs serious revision.“

“I am a fan of Trung Nguyen for a little over 10 years. My parents drink this brand and I have been too for as long as I remembered. When the Orange County location opened, I was there. I also visited several locations in TPHCM. Now, they opened the top tier of franchise in Portland which is amazing. During the friends and family invite, I came and had a ca phe muoi. The architecture of the store was beautifully designed. The ambiance truly allows you experience a genuine coffee experience. The coffee, simply, delicious. Strong, bold, flavorful, the salted foam was a great balance between saltiness and sweetness. Although it is a franchise, it is a recognized brand and is authentic to they serve. This is for the all the Vietnamese coffee lovers!“

The flagship store in Division has a warm, upbeat neighborhood coffee joint feel. The Baristas were dealing with a big line on a Sunday morning and were still warm and genuine when I ordered.

Espresso ☕️ was very rich, lots of crema enjoyed with notes of dried fruit 😋

Cappuccino was crafted beautifully and served in a house cup, it was wonderful 🙇🏻‍♂️“
