“I did enjoy the food overall. The mac and cheese could have been a little creamier, but it was still good. The yams were wonderful, the chicken was very crispy and delicious, and the greens were good as well. However, I did have two issues. First, they wanted to charge $3 for hot sauce, which is something that usually comes with chicken or fish. Second, when they asked if I wanted a small or large, I asked what the difference was. They explained that the large comes with cornbread, but the portion sizes are the same. This is the only soul food spot I’ve been to where there’s an up charge for cornbread and even for hot sauce. I will definitely return.“
