“After passing this place a million times, we got takeout a week ago. The jumbo burritos were amazing!! The chips & queso were also out of this world. Friday pizza night is now burrito night. We’ve gotten it 2 weeks in a row & it was great both times.“

“@halal_mexican is a hidden gem in Philadelphia that has some of the best HALAL Mexican cuisine that I’ve ever tasted. I love that I was able to find a Mexican halal spot. Pictured: -Flautas -Shrimp Chimichanga -Mini Corn on the Cob -Chicken Tacos -Steak Burrito Bowl My favorite item from there has to be the flautas. It’s a deep fried rolled chicken tacos served with pico de gallo and sour cream. Highly recommend this restaurant to all those seeking a tasty mexican restaurant with good service and halal food! Thank you @halal_mexican for being so hospitable and accommodating. I’ll be coming back here next visit“

“This place is the best! My husband and I use to drive to the city for Mexican food. The place is ten times better! Every time we get a date night, it’s always here! The people are so friendly. And is such a cozy little atmosphere. Don’t get me started on the deserts, the absolute best! I always get it to go because the portions are so big that you won’t have room for it. “Went the other night for the first time for dinner. Service was excellent and friendly, and did a good job answering questions. We got an appetizer of the beets that was delicious. The short rib risotto was out of this world - tender, flavorful and absolutely delicious. The goat however was a big miss. Came out as a round rolled piece that seemed unfortunately overcooked and tough. I was expecting a braised goat closer to a braised short rib. The couple next to us had the same two dishes and I noticed they didn't enjoy the goat either. The creme brulee desert was also spectacular. The atmosphere gets 3 because on a cold night, and with the restaurant being as small and cramped as it is, anytime someone comes or goes there's freezing cold wind that blows in. I wish more restaurants here did what they do in NYC with the plastic vestibules in front of the doors to prevent that.“

“Needed a bathroom, this place was open. I walked in and I got hungry from the delicious smell of fresh meats being cooked. I got something I've never tried before. It was deep fried burrito filled with steak and veggies and sour cream. It was damn delicious. Great find.... And yes, I got to use the bathroom while I waited for my food. Win win.

“I went around 9:30am for breakfast because I always walk by here and wanted to try it out. Their menu in person is accurate to what it is online. They also always have fresh fruit (typically mango and watermelon) , muffins, and parfait outside on the stand for easy grab and go options. I spent $9.71 for the spinach and cheese omelette that comes with potatoes and a slice of toast. The potatoes were actually salted really nicely and everything was good quality. The omelet could’ve been salted a little more but that’s personal preference. It came with tomato packets, butter, and strawberry jam packets. I would recommend. Also, I tried to order the horchata but the owner wasn’t selling any at the time but gave me a little sample from what she had left which was really nice. Looking forward to ordering that one day.“

“Food was absolutely amazing. My 11-year old was so pleased which he is a very difficult and picky eater. We got the Mexican corn, & Birria tacos with ramen. Wish I could give more than 5 stars. Food was a little pricey but worth it. Not our first time & it definitely won’t be our last. They absolutely believe in quality & one couldn’t ask for more when spending our hard earned money.
