“From one barista to another- incredible work 🩶. I was enamored by the inherent sweetness of their shots, very caramel-forward. Ended up going home with a bag of honey processed beans and a persistent hankering for another visit. My visit was brief because I had a schedule to stay on, but I could easily see myself spending multiple hours here. Community vibes come naturally to this place.“

“I used to live in the Philly area and stopped by Green Street Coffee with my brother while visiting! (It’s one of his favs!) Sit and Lucy were amazing— super friendly and welcoming! I got an espresso and it was delish, soo smooth and flavorful. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!“

“Had the Spring Fling coffee today, IT WAS INCREDIBLE! Never have I had coffee like this. It was robust but mild, with hints of lavender, thyme and pink peppercorns. Absolutely a must have for those that go regularly. I live in NJ so sadly I won’t be here often and I’m sad about that.“

“I lived in Seattle for almost two decades and will admit to being a bit of a coffee shop snob. The Nook hits so many of my high points. Extremely good locally roasted coffee (in-house!). Amazing baked goods. The cocoa coffee bread must be tried, but leave me a slice! Great staff. If I ever move out of the neighborhood, I'll journey to the Nook for a great cup and bite.“

There are very limited dairy-free pastry and food options, used to have more.“

“Stopped by here to grab a quick coffee on my way to a meeting. They had a bunch of fall drink specials, all of which sounded amazing, but I picked the coffee cake latte (vanilla and brown sugar). I got mine as 16 oz iced. The lovely barista asked if I wanted some cinnamon on top, to which I said of course! It was SO good. I’m always worried that something like this will be too sweet and/or too milky, but this was neither. Absolute perfection. I’ll be back tomorrow!“

The coffee was delicious and there were a lot of options; the breakfast Sammie was well toasted and seasoned; the staff was friendly and kind and seemed like they were having fun with each other. “I'm in town on business and needed a good coffee shop. After searching around the hotel I'm staying at, I found that Black Turtle Coffee had great reviews. Even though there were only a few comments, it still looked amazing. Both the ambiance and the coffee selection were impressive. When I walked in, I encountered an extremely friendly staff and spoke to one of the co-owners. The drink that I ordered was a cold brew with sugar-free caramel and a cold foam topped with black sea salt, called the Zeppelin Cold Brew. I would highly recommend stopping by if you are in town, heading off of Walnut onto 18th, and grabbing a coffee. The atmosphere is semi-industrial, with bar-top seating that overlooks the sidewalk so you can people-watch if you like, or an upstairs area with a few tables.“

“Easily one of the best and most unique businesses in the country by a longshot! If you like hot drinks & yummy treats, you absolutely must visit if you have the chance.
The Head Nut is remarkable for it's great selection of spices, nuts, tea, coffee, and candies all of high quality & good value. Many hard-to-find ingredients and products can be found easily here, such as foreign teas, old-school candies, and cool spices.
The customer service has never been short of lovely and the espresso served here is excellent, especially for the price!
I hope to see this business continue long into the future with the same level of quality that they have impressively maintained for many years.“
