“Love this place! I've never actually had the mochi donuts we go here for the Korean corn dogs and croffles. My favorite is the mozzarella dog with cinnamon sugar and the biscoff croffle! The potatoes dog is also a crowd pleaser! Staff is always friendly.“

“Dottie’s Donuts are the best donuts in Philadelphia. I’ll take the Pepsi Challenge to the crap they sell at Dunkin and I’d pick Dottie’s every single time. They’re quite possibly the greatest donuts in the state of Pennsylvania, which would immediately place them in the state national treasure donut contest. And once Florida is disqualified for not wearing mask, Dottie’s would see the highest standings in the runnin' for greatest donuts, worldwide. Yeah. That good.“

“My sweetheart and I went here on our second date. The original plan was to meet at Dead King Bread in Manyunk, and then hike in the Wissahickon. Dead King was closed, however, and my sweetheart quickly suggested Roma Cafe as an alternative. I'm ashamed to say that I never knew about this bakery. When I think of Italian bakeries, I typically think of South Philly. This is the real deal. An interior that harkens back to earlier times, and probably owners that harken back to an earlier time!
It was here that I discovered that my sweetheart is extravagant with treats, especially sweets. As a bit of a minimalst, I chose a rather bland biscuit. He chose an array of half a dozen treats, including canolies.
When we eventually made our way to the Wissahickon, we discovered that we had each packed more treats for the hike - cheese, grapes. He brought the most wonderful brie from Trader Joes that was as soft and gooey as if you had baked it in the oven. I noted with approval that he was equipped with a good picnic bag, as was I.
As we walked through the Wissahickon, I was captivated by his friendliness to everyone we passed on the trails, including the dogs.
Everything was delicious, and I appreciated that the canolis were petite in size!“

“First time visiting federal donuts, must admit the name is off setting strange for a restaurant name. My first impression was that the floors were very sticky I assume it was from the fountain drinks spillage the sitting tables were filled with stains and crumbs...I immediately clean the tables and chairs that I choose. The food was hot delicious and flavorful I definitely am returning“

“New place. Came here via FB event, "Cars & Doughnuts". Small independent business. Pretty good mochi. I had a creme Brule mochi and a chai tea. I didn't like the Boba balls, tbh I don't get the fad surrounding them. Good service, they're gonna need more workers for sure, I can see this place getting popular. The chai was awesome, way better than any other place of recent memory. The mochi was good too, not too sweet like pastries you would find at a DD or Wawa. They didn't hurt my stomach and were quite pleasant. I will be returning.“

“This is a place my partner and I frequently go to. Their donuts are so yummy and so are there breakfast sammichs! The staff is always so welcoming and kind. We were there this morning and they had some new donut options. We couldn't pick between two different ones so we only went with the one. The gentleman behind the counter made us the one we didn't pick and said it was on the house since we wanted to try it! It was so kind, you don't get that very often these days. I always love going there & I'm never disappointed with anything. ?“

“They do offer other options than Donuts but I usually come here as my Go To if I'm sick of Dunkin Donuts. These are Korean fried donuts so they might taste better though they're slight expensive. If you're new to this brand, I recommend the Cinnamon Sugar Donuts. They usually come hot so that's a plus if you're having it with coffee.“

“Federal Donuts & Chicken on East Market is a true gem for food lovers in Philly. Their crispy fried chicken is perfectly seasoned, juicy, and always hits the spot. The donuts are a delightful treat—made fresh, with creative flavors that change daily. Whether you’re craving savory or sweet, this place has it all. The staff is friendly, the vibe is laid-back, and the food is consistently fantastic. Don’t miss the honey donut with your chicken—pure bliss!“

“I was wating earlier this snowy sunday at south st location. I had an unfortunate moment of having a mild siezure (wich i am prone to having pretty often) the lady on shift that afternoon picked me up cus i had fallen. Gave a complimentary donut and juice! I cant say how much that means to me and made sure my ride picked me up safely. Give that person a raise! Great service. Thanks again.“

“We ordered a Federal Donuts wedding cake for our big day, and it was an great choice! We loved having a variety of flavors, which offered something different and fun for our guests.
The delivery and setup were easy and stress-free, letting us focus on enjoying our celebration. It made for a memorable centerpiece that added a whimsical touch to our wedding. I highly recommend a Federal Donuts donut wedding cake for any couple looking for a wedding cake alternative!“

“I’ve been going to this location and ridge Ave since I was a little girl. The donuts alone are amazing but the food is good, the customer service is on point, the prices are cheaper than most around and the wait isn’t long. They stuck with me lol“

“I give it a 10/10. Great selection and service. My daughter thought this was such a fun place to visit!“
“I went here today for the first time and these are the BEST donuts I have ever had in my entire life. They have ALL different kinds of flavors. I was purchasing two dozen for some classmates and I got Boston creme, apple filled glazed, lemon filled glazed, jelly filled powdered, frosted with fruity pebbles cereal on top (amazing), bear claws, chocolate frosted, glazed, pink frosted, with and w/out sprinkles. seriously, they have it all. The price for one dozen is $10 which is solid for just regular donuts, let alone delicious and essentially gourmet donuts. Some shops would price boston creme or fruity pebbles at a premium just because of the cachet.“
“These donuts are straight up classic. No newfangled “artisan” donuts for $5 or overhyped vegan whathaveyou’s - just damn good donuts. I got two frosted with sprinkles and now I have my go-to spot. At 1.25 each and reports of good coffee, I’ll be back soon. Super friendly service, too. Cash only.“

“I think that Mochinut was T Cafe which can still be seen in maps but I'm not 100% certain.
Clearly the entrance says Mochinut as does the decor inside so assume that T Cafe is no longer.
Great stop for coffee and Mochinut. The inside of Mochinut is simple and streamlined with plenty of seating. A nice place for a quick break if you have spent time walking the city.
Of course, the Mochinut donuts are delicious and they have a large variety of flavors. The coffee is equally inviting with a large selection of coffee, smoothies and milk teas.
These are served in see-through cans which have aluminum tops with pull tabs - it's so cool! So even if you order an iced milk tea you will need to pull the aluminum tab to open your drink. Needless to say these travel well and look really cool too.
One issue I am sure you will encounter for anyone who has not committed the Mochinut flavors to memory. Namely, the Mochinuts are on display on the side of the counter. It's a very nice display with all of the Mochinut flavors labeled and visible. However you need to order your Mochinut at the front of the counter. They have a small handwritten list of the Mochinut flavors scribbled on a small piece of paper but it's not the same as seeing the Mochinut flavors.
I don't think the staff or owner understands this as when we ordered the person at the register was unwilling to move to the display so we could point to our selection (as everyone in any bakery since the dawn of time has done). Also from a brain perspective you are asking people in this case to switch between the right side (right side) and text (left side) text.
I think they could improve this specific shortcoming and increase speed of taking customers orders, decrease confusion and increase fun.
Maybe they need photos or wax replicas of their Mochinut flavors on the front of the counter, I don't know I'm not here to fix that but just give a short review.
This issue does not however change the wonderful flavor of the Mochinut or coffee so Mochinut is definitely worth a stop if you have not tried it.“
“Five stars, you may be thinking “why?” especially by the way it looks. The employees of many of the places around there have been going for years, not only are they great for a quick cheap bite, no one has gotten sick, and the service even though is cash only has been great. Great breakfast and lunch sandwiches.“
“This spot was the light in the darkness. Late for your flight? Dunkin. Fast, good portions for prices, and nice folk running it. I had a grilled cheese pesto sandwich, 6 piece hash brown (which was wayyy tastier than I expected), and a chocolate Bavarian creme donut. 10 bucks, perfectly reasonable. After a long day, little sleep, and a rush to get something quick before my flight, Dunkin nailed it ?“

“Very affordable place close to the subway. There is a little bit of a language barrier but their breakfast sandwiches are delicious. They have donuts, pretzels, hot dogs, bagels, breakfast sandwiches ready made, and they will make lunch sandwiches if you call in advance or wait. They will also custom make breakfast sandwiches if you call. Their coffee is decent. I think the quality is very good considering their prices are so low.“
“I come here almost every morning to get a smoothie before going to work and it’s always so good . Affordable prices for the baked goods and fruit . The ladies are always so nice. I recommend trying their smoothies no joke . And it’s clean when you go inside .“
“The new guy is so sweet. He’s quick and kind. The food is good. They are quick. I go every morning.
Vegetarian options: Eggs are great. There are muffins and things like that as well.
Wheelchair accessibility: Small ramp out front“

“The layout is straight back and narrow so it can be hard to get to the order counter if the store is busy. Other than that I liked it
Parking: There's a line of parking spaces down the entire strip with a parking lot across the street next to the Firehouse.“
