“Went to this restaurant for the first time. The decor was so comfortable like sitting in a cozy living room. Lighting was perfect! We had the plank salmon with mashed potatoes and broccoli. “I just held a 40th birthday party at Lock 29. Everything was great. The space was perfect, everyone raved about the food and cake (some people said it was the best cake they’ve ever had!), The servers were awesome, they made sure everyone had what they needed and did a great job keeping things organized and clean throughout! I would recommend parties here to any of my friends and family! Everything was exactly what I wanted!!“

“The bartenders are on point, as is the pricing for anything outside of a private club. It's legit one of the last bastions of what a "corner bar" quintessentially is - afforable drinks, great service and interesting people. If the smoke isn't a deal breaker for you, stop in.“

“Sorry I didn't have any food. But a great little corner bar. Old time stuff. Just a place to go in and have a couple drinks. And pick up on the occasional conversation, which can get very interesting. Great bartender will make what you ask him to.
Please do not pass on good information about this place. I don't want anybody else finding out about it.
If you're lucky you can run into the psychologist that I ran into, and get a session for the price of a couple drinks.

“Had a great time. We went to see Magical Mystery Doors. Food was excellent and top k notch burgers. Our waitress went above and beyond ( sorry forgot name but petite woman curly hair). Our only complaint was they should set boundaries when there is live music. We had a table almost next to the stage but there was so many people that we had to stand ( not that that’s a problem) but there was ways they could’ve avoided this. All in all a solid place“

“We are some Indian students stayed in that area from 2015 to 2017. We used to come after work and chill in this bar. There was an old man (hope he is doing good ) working all the time by him self. He used to watch TV and smoke cigarettes all day . His expressions while watching TV was so funny. We used to order pizza from next door taste so good I cant forget those days if I get chance to visit Philly area I will definitely checkout this store“

Cold macro beer is on tap along with a decent variety of cans and bottles. Wild Turkey 101 and Tanqueray are cheap. Superb cheese steaks. Say hello to Steve for me. If you ask him nicely, he'll mix up a fine Manhattan or Gibson.“

“This is such a cute space. Its seat yourself and first come first serve. The service can be iffy depending on how crowded it is. And the menu is smaller in the beer garden. “The Whitpain Tavern is my go to neighborhood bar and restaurant. Great food, friendly employees and some of the best cocktails out there. The bar has it's share of regulars and it is always fun to go in, have a drink and talk with everyone at the bar. Tina who works behind the bar during the day is one of the best bartenders out there. Friendly, attentive, remembers her customer's names and knows her craft. Pat and Alex the owners are hands on, there every day and take pride in their establishment. Two super nice people that get to know their customers. The Whitpain is like my Cheers and I look forward to my visits there each week.“
