“My husband and I are foodies and are always looking for new places to try. We first tried Tio about a year and a half ago when we moved to Berwyn, and we’ve been hooked ever since. They have the best Mexican food in the area, hands down. We usually eat here several times a month, sometimes twice in one week. They have the best al pastor tacos I have ever had (and al pastor is my absolute favorite). When I order it anywhere else I end up wishing I had gotten Tio instead. And if you’re a pineapple fan like me, their piña fajita is filled with flavor. My husband especially loves their barbacoa and says it is truly the best he’s ever had. In short, we have loved every single thing we’ve tried here.We also love that they’re a small establishment with a very relaxed atmosphere and great service. We also order for pick up and the food is just as good to go, but we really do love dining in. If we ever move out of Berwyn we will travel any distance to return to Tio!!!Parking: I’ve seen a few reviewers discuss their dissatisfaction with parking. This is not specific to Tio, as parking is difficult for most places along this section of Lancaster Ave. They have more spots in the back of the building, as well as a train station with more parking just across the street. They may not have a huge parking lot, but please don’t let it dissuade you from eating here!! It is well worth it!!!“

“al pastor and birria tacos were so good! stopped by for taco tuesday with my friend and we were so impressed. the service was fast, the pastor was tender and flavorful, the birria was perfectly rich, and the tacos came with delicious roasted peppers and tortilla chips. honestly we were amazed that you can still get so much good food at such a good price around here. definitely stop by if you're around the collegeville area!!Kid-friendliness: there are some not kid-friendly items from the convenience store on display right near the ordering counter, so i would probably not take kids inside. food is great though!“

I saw some instagram stories saying to get them and our server Marissa (who was the sweetest by the way) sealed the deal by saying awesome they were- she was right!!! “Wow. Was not expecting to find some of the best Mexican food I've had in a random strip mall at the back of a grocery store. Place is low-key and decorated colorfully. Food was well-priced, so flavorful, and very fresh. I got the fish tacos, which again were very fresh, and were a great vehicle for their many delicious salsas. Love the giant salsa bar--will need to come back just to try them all. Husband got a pollo special that was almost like a chicken stew with a thick orange cream and he devoured it. We're confident the rest of the extensive menu is just as good. Service was fast and friendly. They don't have a line to leave tip when you pay with credit card so maybe tip in cash if you want to. “I come here all of the time during lunch for myself and my coworkers. As much as I love the food and how it tastes, the pricing is always inconsistent which can be a bit frustrating. Ordered a bowl again the other day and got charged for queso and guac but the bowl comes with guac so why did I get charged? Had another situation where I bought food and didn’t realize I was charged for two drinks I didn’t order and I went back and got a refund for the drinks that were not mine. I now always ask for an itemized receipt just in case, I hope they figure it out because I do love coming here for the food.“

We had the chips with it and really, I could have just eaten it by itself it was that good. So fresh, flavorful and delish! “Whoever owns this location must be a very smart and likeable owner. All of the employees are always so nice and go above and beyond to be friendly. Especially the older woman that works in the evenings and the older gentleman that works during the days. I wish i had not, where is the salt on the taco chips and they’re so thick the only thing they had going for them is, they were nice and crunchy. “We had spent some time at King of Prussia Mall and we wanted to get Mexican food, but we wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of the mall. We found this little out-of-the-way place on Google and decided to check it out. It was not crowded at all and we were seated right away. Our waitress was very pleasant. My daughter got flautas and empanadas, I got a burrito bowl and both my husband and my son got quesadillas. Everything came out in generous portions and was very good. Both my daughter and I wound up taking leftovers home. I will say my burrito bowl was better the second day… I guess it needed some extra time to meld those flavors! The wait staff had limited English but was more than attentive. You have to stop here if you're in North-West Philly.“

“I always get the adobo chicken salad. Last time they gave me the sugar chicken and upcharged me for it but corrected my order ... not the upcharge... which was fine because they were busy. The salad used to be the perfect balance of ingredients but now they have downsized the bowl which throws everything off. I tried to compensate by asking for smaller amount of toppings but the spoons are the same size so i ended up with a soggy mess and very little lettuce. “Favorite Mexican spot in Bridgeport!!! Food is alwaysssss fresh and cook at the moment. There quesadillas are handmade. It’s not them store tortillas. They have tables and chairs where you can just eat and watch Spanish novels and enjoy your meals. My favorite food is there quesadilla de papa con todo y frijoles!
