“We get to Islands a few times a year from Lancaster County. All I can say is the pizza is superb (thin or thick crust done perfectly), but what makes it superb is the bright and fresh tasting sauce they make. A pizza is only as good as the sauce and Islands has one of the best tasting pizza sauces anywhere. It's seasoned lightly but the rich tomato taste stands out. It's not over cooked or over spiced. Need to try it. We pass dozens of Pizza places just to come here!“

“From the moment you step in until you leave you are valued. Frank met us when we arrived insured our meals were up to his and his wife's standards. I have eaten meals at some of the finest dining restaurants around the country. What makes this different? One it is caring from service to ownership. Second, they are culinary chef's and its shows in the taste as well the presentation. I ate vegetables that I usually leave on the side, because it was hard to leave food on the plate. We usually have leftovers, but honestly the portions we appropriate for the price. This is not kid's place. This is a great place for adults to enjoy a meal that is the Best in Berks County and probably beyond. I have been to 48 states, and we usually go where the recommendations are. If you live anywhere near this place and you want a meal that you won't regret, please pick up the phone and call. You will never be disappointed. The best duck I have ever had. Really, you will not pick a wrong dish. Say hi to Frank, he really enjoys knowing that you came.“

Cash only establishment but there is an ATM on site. One thing - I like hot tea with honey and sometimes the honey packets aren’t that good. Dark and gloppy(it’s probably fine - just unappetizing looking as it’s dropping into my tea). I know you probably have to buy a hundred at a time and don’t give out that much so (just a suggestion), it might be better to just not offer it. I consider it a “bonus condiment” lol. If server says “sorry we don’t have honey”and I end up using sugar - it’s not a big deal…and I would have just stopped writing after my compliment lol. I do love your place. It’s cozy.“

“We cannot speak highly enough about Stokesay, their entire team, and, most importantly, Hannah Kufro, our Wedding Coordinator that we worked with! My wife and I signed our venue contract one-year to the date ahead of our big day, with a different coordinator, one who ultimately ended up transitioning to a different organization just a week before our tasting was scheduled. For a couple planning a wedding, especially so close to their big day, this would normally have been an incredibly stressful change to hear about, however, we were expeditiously contacted by Hannah and met her days later at our tasting – immediately after meeting her we knew we were in great hands, and we both agree that our initial impression was spot on. Hannah’s attention to detail, flexibility, and knowledge have continued to impress ourselves, our parents, and our guests who experienced a phenomenal wedding just this past weekend. She not only hit the ground running with our event, but confirmed several details and was able to work with us to ensure our wedding day was as perfect as possible. While I have personally sent messages to several friends I know who are engaged and looking for venues, I wanted to share this note here for those couples looking for venues – Stokesay should 100% be on your list; the charm, history, venue, and staff will all make your big day as perfect as you could ever dream of – if anything, just go check it out – once you see this in person you’ll see exactly what we are talking about. “The brewery was closed when we arrived for the Brinton Lodge tour,but they were still working in the back and allowed us to purchase cans. Super friendly staff and absolutely delicious beer! We will definitely be back for the normal hours. The sitting area and the bar looked really cozy. Bonus: sharing the space with Brinton Lodge“

“This is the absolute best Italian restaurant I’ve ever eaten at! The food is delicious and succulent, the service is impeccable, the waitresses are very friendly and quick with taking your order! The bread, pasta, cakes, everything is homemade onsite and you can really taste it! They make new dishes constantly so it’s always a surprise! The take-out pizza is fantastic, you have to try their Sicilian and grandma style pizza too! My favorite dish is the crab ravioli, which has a very tasty sauce and loaded with delicious crab!
