“I don’t go here as often as I would like, but every time I have gone, the food has always been delicious, and the owners and staff are always so friendly and crack a joke or two! I love this food and it makes me want to learn how to cook it myself, but I don’t think I’ll ever be able to do it as well as them. The rice w/beans with pork and chicken, called “Rob’s Special”, is so good. Their plantain stuffed with beef, as well as their meat patties, are so good. “Our party of 6 dined last night. Michelle was our server. She was great- very attentive, drinks were always filled. Some stand-outs: Caesar salad was great, dressing is made in-house. Blackened chicken and shrimp were seasoned well. The creamy polenta is excellent. Salmon dish was prepared perfectly. The carrot cake dessert is excellent and the creme brulee is also very good. There’s plenty of space between the bar area, the lounge and the dining room. A gentleman (manager?) visited our table and made sure our order was just right. Great experience! Will recommend and will return!“

Cash only establishment but there is an ATM on site. One thing - I like hot tea with honey and sometimes the honey packets aren’t that good. Dark and gloppy(it’s probably fine - just unappetizing looking as it’s dropping into my tea). I know you probably have to buy a hundred at a time and don’t give out that much so (just a suggestion), it might be better to just not offer it. I consider it a “bonus condiment” lol. If server says “sorry we don’t have honey”and I end up using sugar - it’s not a big deal…and I would have just stopped writing after my compliment lol. I do love your place. It’s cozy.“

My in-laws got their usual, a White Russian sandwich and a burger. My wife got a French Dip type of sandwich, and I ordered a French Onion Soup with a side of curly fries. When Abby brought out our food she saved mine for last, and she said “here’s your mustard honey.” She sat down a bottle of honey and a bottle of mustard. The four of us busted up laughing because the joker got PUNKED! But yes, I did get the real thing.

As usual our food was served hot and was very tasty. It wasn’t just punking me that made me appreciate her. Abby truly enjoys people, which reflects on the exceptional level of service she provides. Servers like Abby are rare these days, and I trust management will pass on our complements. And I hope I spelled her name correctly because it could be Abbie. Either way she rocks!

“Giovanni's is one of the only places around that is consistently good. The pizza is always amazing. Whenever we are trying to decide where to go as a family of 7, Giovannis always wins out. It's the only place we can name that everyone is happy with. In the summer, some of out best days are ordering a few pizzas or hoagies to take to Nine Oaks Pool.“

“This is the absolute best Italian restaurant I’ve ever eaten at! The food is delicious and succulent, the service is impeccable, the waitresses are very friendly and quick with taking your order! The bread, pasta, cakes, everything is homemade onsite and you can really taste it! They make new dishes constantly so it’s always a surprise! The take-out pizza is fantastic, you have to try their Sicilian and grandma style pizza too! My favorite dish is the crab ravioli, which has a very tasty sauce and loaded with delicious crab! The owners are awesome people who treat their employees like family, everyone always has a smile on their face! This is my favorite restaurant in Douglassville, I award it five stars!!“
