“This place is such a great spot for any occasion, such great food and an amazing vibe, great for a stop in when you’re strolling down main st! Owner is awesome too, helped me shovel my car out when in was stuck in the street, if that isn’t customer service then I don’t know what is!“

“Been there a few times now after discovering it a couple weeks ago and had a different bartender each time. Without fail, each bartender has been exceptionally welcoming and kind! Haven't gotten food but it does look good. Week nights seem to be quiet for a beer and very little wait on the pool tables. Went on a Friday and the place was buzzing, love to see it! Pool tables being $1.50/game is great compared to so many other places.
Can't recommend this place enough. This is my friends and I's new favorite spot.“

“I love their food and drinks! It is very happening not only on the weekends but also on weeknights. I recommend booking a reservation ahead of time. Often the bar area is booked with private events. I’ve been there when there was three events going on at a time.“

“Very divey, but delicious hot wings and flavorful quesadillas. Was a little strange that all the cups were plastic but we assumed maybe the dishwasher was broken. 🤷🏼♀️ Still highly recommend.“

“I come here fairly regularly with my running group. This a great neighborhood bar, the owner is awesome and super friendly. The food is also better than you'd expect for a dive bar, but it still has the dive bar charm. This is easily my favorite bar up the hill in Manayunk“
“superbe endroit avec des gens tres sympathiques.. les personnes qui travaillent au bar son juste excellente j´ai passé 3 excellente soirées.. je recommande vivement.. alex la française..“
“Gorgeous Venue comfortable & welcoming would definitely host another event there 🤩“
“Murphy’s Tavern is honestly one of my favorite local hangout spots! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by super friendly staff who always seem happy to see you. They’re quick with service, always checking in, and just genuinely nice people who make the whole place feel really welcoming.
The vibe here is super chill — great for grabbing a drink after work or spending a weekend night out with friends. They’ve got games outside AND inside which makes it even better when the weather’s nice. It’s so fun to just hang out, play a few rounds, and enjoy the atmosphere.
The crowd is always friendly too, and there’s this nice community feel to the place that you don’t get everywhere. Between the good drinks, beer draft selection, great people, and the outdoor setup, Murphy’s Tavern is the kind of spot you end up staying at longer than you planned.
If you’re looking for a laid-back place with great service and a fun vibe, this is definitely it!“

“A home away from home for Commanders fans living in Philadelphia. Old Bay is featured heavily on the menu, as it should be. They easily accommodated our walk in party of 14 and put up with us playing "Hail To The Redskins" on the jukebox repeatedly.
*To the couple Commanders fans who left negative reviews, that's not cool and you're missing the joke.*“
“Sorry I didn't have any food. But a great little corner bar. Old time stuff. Just a place to go in and have a couple drinks. And pick up on the occasional conversation, which can get very interesting. Great bartender will make what you ask him to.
Please do not pass on good information about this place. I don't want anybody else finding out about it.
If you're lucky you can run into the psychologist that I ran into, and get a session for the price of a couple drinks.
Parking: The later in the evening the better. Meters on both sides of the street. Went at 10:00 p.m. had the whole street to myself.“

“Had a great time. We went to see Magical Mystery Doors. Food was excellent and top k notch burgers. Our waitress went above and beyond ( sorry forgot name but petite woman curly hair). Our only complaint was they should set boundaries when there is live music. We had a table almost next to the stage but there was so many people that we had to stand ( not that that’s a problem) but there was ways they could’ve avoided this. All in all a solid place“

“The atmosphere is very appealing and customer friendly. The libations are on point with a variety of beer, wine and liquor. There is a pool table on the second floor for your pleasure. In addition, the kitchen is open daily. The food is always fresh and delicious.“
“Dear Broad Axe Tavern- Thanks for being our go to place for so many years. My wife and I had many impromptu dates and enjoyed being able to get good food at a fair price in our neighborhood. Please tell your dastardly landlords (who we are assuming drove you out) that they have a big hole to fill in Blue Bell. RIP #america'soldesttavern #TB12forever“

“After meeting a client in Berwyn last night, I stopped into Casey’s Pour House for one of their famous roast beef sandwiches. I’ve tried a lot of great spots along the Main Line, but Casey’s in Berwyn continues to be my go-to. The food is consistently excellent, the service is quick, and the atmosphere feels like classic Main Line hospitality. If you’re looking for the best roast beef sandwich in Berwyn or a reliable local restaurant and bar in the Philadelphia suburbs, Casey’s Pour House is always worth the stop.“

“I was staying in Plymouth meeting for a few months from dallas for work and this place quickly became a home away from home. Was right after the eagles won the Superbowl and nobody gave me a hard time when I wore my cowboys gear in! Good friendly people. Reminded me of my little hometown bar back in Dallas. Great food too!“

“Shouldn't be a 1 star but if theres a real reason why let me offer to clarify your depth incorrect, may have best made an error haven't seen a better gentleman run a cleaner Bar in the 5 mile radius. Spent my money as a non alcoholic and decided to spend my money with a good group of men human beings. Something for every body. Hospitality between both patrons and customers was beyond a 5. Haven't felt the warmth good talk from anyone up and down the pike in years. Id suggest giving him another chance this St Pattys day Match13th (incase of any more errors in low rates)Thank you for your service. As a non drinker it relaxed me being around human beings. Give him a chance.Mixed environment just don't ask anyone if they mind their stool pushed in.Berj Yepremian Jr“

“This is my favorite place to spend time with grown folks of all ages!
Pat is an awesome and caring bar maid. She usually makes food for us.
The music we play is the best of our era!
$2 cans of beer Monday through Friday until 5:00 PM. I give a $5 tip when I arrive and usually only spend $15 on beer and drinks unless I hang out longer than normal.“
“Smoking permitted. Limited grille menu, but prepared with care. Compact pool table. Digital jukebox. Cash only. It's a classic. Cold macro beer is on tap along with a decent variety of cans and bottles. Wild Turkey 101 and Tanqueray are cheap. Superb cheese steaks. Say hello to Steve for me. If you ask him nicely, he'll mix up a fine Manhattan or Gibson.“

“Outstanding food and service! Lots of neat flavors and combinations going on. Peers were probably the best I’ve ever had, halibut was rich and delicious, Quaile with Pat today and lime was outstanding, and a great match with fat and acidity, and the skirt steak was very good though the cut wasn’t the same standard as their other courses. The wine list is above average, but lacking age and depth. Allowing outside bottles for $50 solves that problem.“

“The bartenders are on point, as is the pricing for anything outside of a private club. It's legit one of the last bastions of what a "corner bar" quintessentially is - afforable drinks, great service and interesting people. If the smoke isn't a deal breaker for you, stop in.“
