“A home away from home for Commanders fans living in Philadelphia. Old Bay is featured heavily on the menu, as it should be. They easily accommodated our walk in party of 14 and put up with us playing "Hail To The Redskins" on the jukebox repeatedly.
*To the couple Commanders fans who left negative reviews, that's not cool and you're missing the joke.*“

“I was staying in Plymouth meeting for a few months from dallas for work and this place quickly became a home away from home. Was right after the eagles won the Superbowl and nobody gave me a hard time when I wore my cowboys gear in! Good friendly people. Reminded me of my little hometown bar back in Dallas. Great food too!“

“I come here fairly regularly with my running group. This a great neighborhood bar, the owner is awesome and super friendly. The food is also better than you'd expect for a dive bar, but it still has the dive bar charm. This is easily my favorite bar up the hill in Manayunk“

“Had a great time. We went to see Magical Mystery Doors. Food was excellent and top k notch burgers. Our waitress went above and beyond ( sorry forgot name but petite woman curly hair). Our only complaint was they should set boundaries when there is live music. We had a table almost next to the stage but there was so many people that we had to stand ( not that that’s a problem) but there was ways they could’ve avoided this. All in all a solid place“

“This was my first time here with a friend, and we had a wonderful time. Our server, Keegan was amazing!! Super personable, and hopefully not too upset that we were sitting for so long. “My husband and I went here for the first time last week. The woman that took care of us was Lee. She was very inviting and kind. Our drinks were refreshing! When our food came out, everything was so fresh, hot and delicious!!! We had no wait time to be seated. The wait for our food after ordering was minimal. I wish we had come here sooner. “Delicious!!! My friends and I were so excited to try Bar Jawn, especially since we’ve loved Pizza Jawn for a long time! The food and drinks were all fabulous - Bar Jawn has a chill, relaxed atmosphere but boasts an elevated bar menu that is so much more and so far beyond typical bar food! Some of our favorites were the drunken ravioli, the buffalo arancini (so inventive!!!), the chicken parm (make sure you get it with ravioli!), the mozzarella triangles (mozz sticks with an upgrade!) and the eggplant stack! So excited to come back as the menu changes and try even more awesome options! Thank you, Bar Jawn!“

“Sorry I didn't have any food. But a great little corner bar. Old time stuff. Just a place to go in and have a couple drinks. And pick up on the occasional conversation, which can get very interesting. Great bartender will make what you ask him to.
Please do not pass on good information about this place. I don't want anybody else finding out about it.
If you're lucky you can run into the psychologist that I ran into, and get a session for the price of a couple drinks.
Parking: The later in the evening the better. Meters on both sides of the street. Went at 10:00 p.m. had the whole street to myself.“

“Brenda.Im from Baltimore and I choose to get away for my birthday for the weekend me and my family and I wanted to go out to have drinks listen to some music and eat some good food.This was my first time in Philly and really did not know where to go so my best friend got on the web and this place popped up along with a few other spots and I said lets try this one.When I say I'm glad we did I had so much fun for my birthday! “This is my go to place for their roast pork sandwiches. Me and my boo are regulars. Getting one today when I get off. Only thing I don’t like is the stinky cheese they use, I prefer to buy my own stinky cheese from the supermarket , other than that they’re bussin! I prefer one of the bartender young ladies over another one that works there but maybe she was new that time..idk. Old head mature vibe, I never had any issues or drama popping in and out to get my sammiches. Yall better get you one of these.“

“An absolute must-visit! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the menu perfectly balances creative dishes with comforting classics.
The Detroit-style pizza was a delightful surprise—light and flavorful, unlike the denser style you'd find in Chicago. My group also tried the Mojo Chicken, Smash Burger, and Coconut Shrimp Salad, and each of us was thrilled with our choice.
The service was outstanding—attentive and friendly. Whether you're looking for a casual dinner or a special night out, this place won’t disappoint. I can't wait to come back and explore more of the menu. Highly recommend!“
“I had a burger delivered and it was so good! It was a nice medium rare and had fresh lettuce, tomato and onion. It was very juicy and the bun didn’t collapse to the liquid. It was also still hot and delicious after the delivery. The bacon wasn’t thin flimsy bacon either it was a nice thickness and had good flavor. The times that I have been to Murphy’s in person the waiters were very nice and it was an excellent enjoyable time. Overall a very nice place, I would go again soon.“

“I came through with a coworker and had a slamming Cheesesteak sándwich that rivals those down in Philly. The meat was tender and juicy, and what really got me was that sándwich stayed warm throughout the whole meal. Mozzarella sticks were on point too. My boy had the fish tacos and said those were slamming too. No pics because I was hungry. lol“
“I've frequented the Broad Axe for quite some time and love it for the friendly and welcoming staff and warm atmosphere. The food is good and they have an extensive beer and spirits list. The skilled bartenders can whip up anything to suit a mood or taste.“

Cold macro beer is on tap along with a decent variety of cans and bottles. Wild Turkey 101 and Tanqueray are cheap. Superb cheese steaks. Say hello to Steve for me. If you ask him nicely, he'll mix up a fine Manhattan or Gibson.“
