“We had the opportunity to visit Coal Hill Tavern after seeing the amazing Christmas storefronts in downtown Brownsville. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The wings were great and everything else we ate was yummy. The drinks were cheap too! I definitely recommend Coal Hill Tavern!“

“Stopped by here yesterday for early dinner. Open seating and was greeted promptly by server. Rustic roadhouse vibes. Didn’t really look at menu as we already decided on specials of the day. Barbecued ribs and creamed chicken with biscuits. Everything was amazing. Meaty beef ribs done to perfection, tasty baked beans and a vinaigrette slaw were great accompaniment. The creamed chicken over biscuits were served with gravy and homemade mashed potatoes. Well prepared and tasty. Blackberry pie for dessert was also amazing. Five star service by our server, sorry I can’t remember her name, provided was a memorable experience and will definitely recommend to friends and definitely be returning soon!“

“We had one of the best meals of our lives last night at Vesta 88 while celebrating our son's 27th birthday! Ron and I had the special (grouper topped with crab-stuffed shrimp, tomato basil risotto and asparagus)--and Noah had the poutine and meatball trio. SO delicious! The servers are so friendly and attentive, and the coal-mining themed atmosphere and memorabilia make for a unique dining experience. Our new fave local restaurant!“

“Red Star is a small town bar that has been around since I was a kid, the owner (Serb) is a wonderful man who contributes to the community and is Highly respected in this Area, if anyone has had any problems here then it was your own doing, they are not rude and welcome everyone who walks in the door. If you did have a problem and didn't speak to the owner about it then shame on you, he would have handled the situation. Red Star is a bar to sit down and listen to the old timers talk about the old days, have a drink and yes, smoke a cigarette. We are a small coal mining town who still love the good old fashioned ways of life.“

“First time there on Friday. I had antipasto salad. Outstanding. Took home cabbage rolls with Mash potatoes fabulous. Can’t wait to rerun I live in Jefferson Hills but worth the drive authentic home food. You won’t be disappointed ?“

“JUST WOW! FREAKIN WOW FREAKIN WOW FREAKIN WOW!!!! look at my other reviews: I do not rant like this ever! WHAT A HAMBURGER! BEEF! No gimmicks. No sauces. No Crap. Just real actual juicy 1/2 lb beef seasoned to BRING OUT THE BEEF FLAVOR! This is THE PERFECT BURGER! And just when your first bite of the burger has sent you to heaven you pick up a FRY and WHAM!, you are right back in heaven again! Crunchy Fries. Hot fries. Salted fries. Fries with a little brown: ITS ALL IN THERE! A great mix of all kinds. WOW, did they nail this where so many fail. We hit this place on a Thursday at 1:00 specifically looking for a burger and they KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK! My Wife and I both had a burger and fries which was the thursday lunch special for $6.50!!!! I had a half and half tea and she had an incredibly refreshing fountain coke. I think with tip were were out of there for a little over $20. Finding either the perfect medium cooked burger or the perfect batch of fries is rare enough but DAMN!, when you find them together, you have hit on something. Look UNIONTOWN, forget fast food for Thursday lunch! Get your butts in here and keep this great local business going. I live 150 miles away and I will be back. UNIONTOWN, you have something special in this place. BURGER UP!“

“For a small roadside bar the food is really really great! I'm a wings snob and the wings here check ALL my boxes! Friends also enjoyed the burgers. We have been twice and service was great. Last night there was one bartender and live music so it wasn't slow, but the bartender (sadly, I didn't get her name) was ON TOP OF IT! We NEVER waited for a refill and she often checked in on our large group to make sure we had all we needed. We WILL be back!“

“The people an food everything is great here except when they have two bartenders working an they are sisters they have nothing but attitude an act like they are to good for this place if that’s the case take you spoiled brat behind an go somewhere else we come here to have a good time not to deal with attitude an ignorance completely BS in every way“

“We visited Rizzle’s Roadhouse for the first time today! It is half bar and half restaurant so we expected the typical bar food. WHAT A SURPRISE! THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT! There were four of us and we all agree and will go back even though we live an hour away. We had grilled chicken mahi-mahi, ribs and steak - all excellent! You won’t be disappointed!“
