“If you want better fresh cut fries than Kennywood, Bar 48 is it. Their wings and ranch are top notch; it’s the only place I order wings from. Their owner Katelyn does an amazing job of planning many fun events and her personality brings people together!“

“My wife's grandparents are from the hill country of Lebanon, and her "Sittee" made phenomenal food. I haven't had anything even close to her cooking until I went to Babylon. Friendly, courteous owner and staff, great service, and food that is out of this world. What more could you want?“

“To Randy Kovac, All I have to say is BS, to your review, and how could you see the bartender ignoring your call?? Lmao. If you was there and needed cigarettes, no matter what time or whoever was there, employees or customers. And needed cigarettes, you would have received cigarettes even if you didn't have any money. So why don't you say anything about you abusing dogs? Or what about someone saying something about you that's not true on the internet?? Wouldn't like that would you.. and the animal abuse is true. “Best kept secret in Pittsburgh. Downstairs is an inviting speakeasy atmosphere. A few steps up and you're in a large-yet-comfy greatroom - complete with fireplace, couches and two hugescreen tvs, great for Steeler games. Then there's the second floor which is perfect for parties, catered events - there's also comedy nights and markets there. Danielle always has something going on upstairs and down!“

“Good chow and a great place to visit.“
“Home away from home...From out of town? Miss the old neighborhood? Like Blues and R@B? You've found it...at the R BAR... 5 mins. from downtown(avoid rush hour) The owner is a semi-retired musician..and his wife besides being a "Hottie" LOL..Is the salt of the earth...If you make it there on Sundays..You'll find one of the best"Bloody Mary's" around...and a 6 piece band called "The Midnight Horns" who all lead their own bands doing the week, but come together at the R BAR to roar..(Jazz,R@B,Blues)..I must also mention 2 of the best bartenders around..Toni and Billy.will treat you like family...So why not give the R BAR 5 stars? Only because of it's size, and no food..however a Pizza parlor opened next door with a wide variety of treats...good enough to feed those Boilermakers..from the R BAR...“

“Definitely do not come here for the atmosphere or the cleanliness. It hasn't seen a sanitizer since 1980. Literally. It was pretty bad. BUT....we committed to staying because someone gave the food a 5 stars review...and I see why. It was hands down the best breakfast I've had. Every part of that meal was a 5. Only the food, the coffee was awful, so not the beverages, just the food. I was in total shock. That cook needs a raise! Also,it's a shame, someone needs to clean this place up, and give the dining area a face lift. Because, the food their serving deserves to be served on a nice plate, and put on a clean, bought this century, booth. It also smells real bad, they need to open up the windows and let some fresh air in there.“
“Definitely a place where you can have a great time with great service!“

“Didn't eat there yet, but I'll offer my rating when I do. I rarely, rarely drink, but my better half wanted to go out & have a couple. Diana, like the princess but not killed in an assassination, was cordial & nice. She waited on us as did one of the original founder's nephew. I tipped them both $1.25 on the 2 beers, which were $3.75 for a Miller Lite bottle. I'm frugal as hell, so the service must've been 5 star in order for me to do that. The other patrons were cool. One guy was fun. We all were chatting about nationalities and, even though he was black, I suggested we were all one big family. He objected. I said yes, you're my brother. He asked if I was Italian. I said no, I'm mostly Czechoslovakian and about as honky as they get. We all laughed, he splowed me up and changed his early position, calling me brother.
Juke box was cool, free credits made it cooler. Eddie's keeps music playing, not forcing you to put money in it. Crowd was half white, half black. I wish I could say the white people were cool, but, I'm told, the creepy guy supposedly grabbed someone's behind earning him a slap in the face. It's not nice to identify victims of sexual assault unless they want that. To be identified, that is. No one likes to be sexually assaulted. But justice was swift, firm. Everyone else had a nice time, playing pool. Darts, a few poker machines. Nice sized flat screen. The stereo was nice, loud. I'm told they will be getting a foosball table really soon. A really good one with electronic scoring. If they do, I'll update because I will play 4 people at once and beat you all. Yes, I put my money where my mouth is, even though it has germs. My mouth & money.
So who's gonna be my first victim? I told you, I'm cheap, so I will only bet $1 per game. Until some drunk, arrogant fool slaps $100 on the table in which case I will take the bet, beat him after explaining the terms & conditions of my betting him & winning, then taking him to another club across the bridge on the other side of town: The Club Above. That's where AA lives, and loves, if you're wondering.
I sense Eddie's will grow more popular in the near future. And I trust & hope my review had something to do with it and that you don't bring any drama to the well established establishment. Just bring yourself, a friend & respect and let everyone enjoy their night. Please and thank you.“

“This place is such a gem! My fiance and I drive 35 minutes here for the food, best breaded zucchini in Pittsburgh hands down, best nachos, and the flatbreads are amazing. “If yinz find yourself passing through Munhall,PA like we were you’ve simply gotta stop in at the local tavern on Main Street! We stumbled upon Main Street Tavern and are thankful we did. This joint has big screens to watch an assortment of sporting events, copious options in the beverage arena and an assortment tasty food crafted by their cook (make sure you check the schedule ~ you won’t be disappointed!). Yinz know the show Cheers, right?! It was evident that the owners of this local establishment know everyone who walks through their doors by name. The greetings we’d witness as folks arrived was cheerful and when it was time to leave they’d give a shoutout “see yinz next time!” We bellied up to the bar and ordered two draft beers … what kind you ask … Yuengling of course! Do you know the story of Yuengling; it’s one of the American Spirit. It’s a tale of shared dreams, individual tenacity & an unwavering dedication to standards of quality. Like many American stories it starts amid the dreams of countless young immigrants looking for opportunity and emerges from the strength & will of one family determined to build their legacy in a new country. The story of America’s Oldest Brewery began when David G. Yuengling arrived from Wuerttemberg Germany to settle in the sleepy, coal-mining town of Pottsville, Pennsylvania. As I digress, like a story being shared with new friends over a cold beer I’ll get back to our visit at Main Street Tavern. We ordered draft refills to accompany the wings & hand crafted pizza we ultimately chose; the menu is filled with taste bud tempting & oh so many yummy in my tummy choices. The crust of the pizza is sourced locally along with most of the food you’ll find on Main Street Tavern’s; it’s an impressive menu. The meatballs are homemade & sought after by many (that’s what I gathered by listening to banter across the bar). The rabbit food aka salads galore I doubt will leave you hungry by the portions I saw being served causing me to second guess my choice but not for long, those first nibbles into the perfectly cooked wings & crisped drumsticks drizzled in sauce had me wanting more. The wing sauce was scrumpdillyicious & fingers were licked while our pizza was easily devoured as we shared this feast while bantering with the locals, staff and owners as college football played on the screens. Folks were filtering in and out, some playing pool while others shared stories of their week. It’s was kind of neat spending time in a local neighborhood establishment, the vibe is unique and very much welcomed. We learned that Main Street Tavern is a staple in the community and gives back regularly hosting an array of charitable events like chili cook-offs, Santa was just there for pictures with the kids, karaoke & local entertainment. Ugh! Now we had a problem of the most basic kind. Being in town only for one night we couldn’t enjoy other items offered on Main Street Tavern’s savory menu and the company of friendly folks that shared our evening; perhaps our return trip east in the spring requires a delightful detour?! So in review … this gal encourages you to divert yourself off the highway, head on over to historic Munhall (a borough in Allegheny County, PA on the west bank of the Monongahela river). At Main Street Tavern we found ourselves warmly welcomed as we stepped inside, filled up on an assortment of vittles, beverages severed with a smile & locals who were happy to sit alongside us as we conversed about our travels across our country.“

“Picture if you can going back in time to an era when there was major industry in the valley. Elrama Generating Station was running full bore as well as West Penn Power and the mines were open supplying coal to these giant power houses Well that era is gone!!! But not the people, they still come get drunk and swing down memory lane. A patron played a song on the juke box " Country Road" by John Denver. Everyone in the place sang along and smiled a simple song for simple people Beware of the bartender though she skims 5/30/2018 The sign is back on!!!! Come on in, enjoy a cold beer on a hot day“
“usually very good food but on my last visit I ordered a Rubin sandwich and told there was only one left. the Rubin was terrible, stale bread and stringy and fatty meat. My suggestion would be don't order anything that is the last one left on the menu.“

“Nice little place to hang out. There’s a pool table, dart machine, small chance games, approximately priced drinks, plenty of seating, and nice clean bathrooms. The bartenders are really friendly and talkative. It’s a nice place to strike up a conversation with a stranger and talk about random stuff.
Wheelchair accessibility: The door is easily accessible and on street level.“
