“Went on a Friday they had lent menu in addition to regular menu. No kids menu, but sides and apps easily made them happy. The fish tacos had very large pieces of fish and were cooked perfectly. Beer and draft menu was great, BBQ shrimp skewers were filling and Cole slaw was creamy style and very good. The waitresses seemed to work as a team and we were continuously checked on by several different team members. I would recommend this place for lunch or dinner. I have had their burgers in the past and they are very good as well.Parking: Building has ample parking on one side.Kid-friendliness: Kids enjoyed it here, no kids menu but many options in apps and sides (chicken tenders, Mac and cheese, quesadillas, etc)“
“This was my first time here. I highly recommend. The environment was friendly and full of different groups of people having a blast. Some were watching the game on the big TV's, some were playing the available board games. The music was poppin'!!! People of all ages were there which I thought was cool. “Right on walnut street! I was out with a friend and he suggested this place, I was there like 25+ years ago when it had another owner. So we went in, got some beers, and ordered. Beers came quick and cold! My friend ordered a hot turkey with gravy and fries, I ordered a hot ham and cheese. Side of bacon covered cheese fries....excellent! “Was there for a private party of nineteen people. Had the back room.Had the two piece fried cod with fries and salad. The cod was cooked perfectly and the fries were good. Wife had broiled cod with haluski..both were excellent.The server was also excellent. One server for the party. She was on the ball and never had to wait for a beverage refill. The only negative would be only one pasta on the menu.Would definitely recommend and will return.“

Outdoor deck area for smoking you can bring your drink on the deck just don't walk off the deck with your alcohol. Plenty of parking available and usually a decent crowd.“

“I had a great experience. I ordered the club sandwich and fresh cut fries. My waitress was super friendly and efficient. Had my drink to me quickly. The food also arrived in less than 10 minutes which surprised me given how busy they were. It was good too. No complaints at all. Nice ambiance. You can sit inside at the bar or at tables. They had a band about to start playing. I sat outside. They have a huge deck. Some is closed in with clear roll-down windows so you can see, but stay warm. Naturally in summer they can be rolled up. All in all, a great meal with wonderful, fast, attentive service. The only thing that needs a little tlc is the parking lot. There's some huge potholes. But we're coming out of winter so it's understandable.“

“We stumbled upon this place during a recent trip to Pittsburgh to celebrate our friends birthday this weekend and we were extremely impressed with the great service from the bartender Gail. She was fast, friendly, and by the time we left we felt like part of the family. Even met and talked to the owner Don. He was a gracious and kind gentleman. We even had dinner reservations at a restaurant downtown, but we cancelled those just so we could stay longer at Don's Bar. The food was amazing and the prices are VERY reasonable. And to top it off, my friend misplaced her purse, but didn't realize it until the next morning which was a Sunday (they are closed) and I reached out to them at Don's to see if she had left her purse there and they personally stopped what they were doing on their day off and went into the bar to look for the purse. I mean in today's world most people would've said we'll look the next time we are open, but not at Don's Bar. They really take care of you there. I want to make this birthday trip and annual thing and we will definitely be stopping by Don's Bar again. FANTASTIC PLACE! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!“

“Tonight was my first time going to this place for a meal. Every time I drive by there, I'm usually running errands on my days off off which are Saturday and Sunday and they're always busy. Well I made up my mind to go there for dinner tonight after work and I now know why they're always busy! From start to finish, everything was excellent. The service, the food presentation, the quality of the food preparation, the cleanliness of the establishment and the level of exceptional, true TEAMWORK that I witnessed from staff was just an amazing and very pleasant dining experience. I've never been there before, so I'm not positive, but I believe that the gentleman I saw busing tables and seating new customers was the owner? I love seeing people who love doing what they do in their work because they do it so much from the heart and it makes all the difference in the customer service experience for anyone who walks through that door. They have a motto there. It's something like "no bad seat in the house". And that's so true because no matter where you sit you are just as important to the folks serving you as any other person who walks through that door. I will most definitely be a repeat customer. Wednesday is 1.50 TACOS and .75 slices of square pizza can't beat that.Parking: They have a small lot that I believe they share with other businesses because it's always full. There is usually street parking right out front. But you have to feed quarters to the meter and the max amount of time to park is 2 hours.“

Only thing that affects negatively is when the door to the bar (smoking) area is left open or opened frequently because that smell comes through dining area. But still love this place.
