“My most American trait is that I eat more burgers than any other food. That said, the bacon cheeseburger here is simply the best I have ever had in my life. It's definitely my favorite burger in Pittsburgh. It is a 9.5/10 or better nearly every time. The grainy mustard and mayo is genius. The fries are also great. Only the food, the coffee was awful, so not the beverages, just the food. I was in total shock. That cook needs a raise! Also,it's a shame, someone needs to clean this place up, and give the dining area a face lift. It also smells real bad, they need to open up the windows and let some fresh air in there.“

A few steps up and you're in a large-yet-comfy greatroom - complete with fireplace, couches and two hugescreen tvs, great for Steeler games. Then there's the second floor which is perfect for parties, catered events - there's also comedy nights and markets there. Danielle always has something going on upstairs and down!“

I am typically not one for tator tots but the way they make them, they are out of this world. Served with a nice side of Nacho Cheese.....wow. The staff are always friendly and the food is made fast. For those who enjoy a nice tasty Budweiser, they actually have it on Tap, and for us who enjoy gods gift to beer, that's a rare thing around these parts.“

“Didn't eat there yet, but I'll offer my rating when I do. I rarely, rarely drink, but my better half wanted to go out & have a couple. Diana, like the princess but not killed in an assassination, was cordial & nice. She waited on us as did one of the original founder's nephew. I tipped them both $1.25 on the 2 beers, which were $3.75 for a Miller Lite bottle. I'm frugal as hell, so the service must've been 5 star in order for me to do that. The other patrons were cool. One guy was fun. We all were chatting about nationalities and, even though he was black, I suggested we were all one big family. He objected. I said yes, you're my brother. He asked if I was Italian. I said no, I'm mostly Czechoslovakian and about as honky as they get. We all laughed, he splowed me up and changed his early position, calling me brother.

Juke box was cool, free credits made it cooler. Eddie's keeps music playing, not forcing you to put money in it. Crowd was half white, half black. I wish I could say the white people were cool, but, I'm told, the creepy guy supposedly grabbed someone's behind earning him a slap in the face. It's not nice to identify victims of sexual assault unless they want that. To be identified, that is. No one likes to be sexually assaulted. But justice was swift, firm. Everyone else had a nice time, playing pool. Darts, a few poker machines. Nice sized flat screen. The stereo was nice, loud. I'm told they will be getting a foosball table really soon. A really good one with electronic scoring. If they do, I'll update because I will play 4 people at once and beat you all. Yes, I put my money where my mouth is, even though it has germs. My mouth & money.

So who's gonna be my first victim? I told you, I'm cheap, so I will only bet $1 per game. Until some drunk, arrogant fool slaps $100 on the table in which case I will take the bet, beat him after explaining the terms & conditions of my betting him & winning, then taking him to another club across the bridge on the other side of town: The Club Above. That's where AA lives, and loves, if you're wondering.

I sense Eddie's will grow more popular in the near future. And I trust & hope my review had something to do with it and that you don't bring any drama to the well established establishment. Just bring yourself, a friend & respect and let everyone enjoy their night. Please and thank you.“

“Absolutely loved my stop into Nine Two Five with Matt & JJ. Tried both of their specialty cocktails and an Over/Under which is a great Underberg experience.
JJ’s cocktail (Loretta) was new-age whiskey with lavender, ginger, and egg whites…enjoyed!
Matt’s was a tiki cocktail (3 dots & a dash) that I was vaguely familiar with, and tasted great! Matt had a lot of beer experience that I was able to ask about. Great spot! More people need to go and enjoy the offerings!

Elrama Generating Station was running full bore as well as West Penn Power and the mines were open supplying coal to these giant power houses Well that era is gone!!! “I ate before arriving, so I didn’t have any of the food. But the kitchen was pumping out orders the entire time I was there. Drinks were generous with alcohol. Bartender was nice. Atmosphere was light, like I came with one friend felt like I knew everyone else I encountered. Good music choices were made on the jukebox. I enjoyed myself.“

“Friendly little watering hole, I frequently shoot pool and drink Meyers and Cokes here. The owner and staff are rad, tables are decent, plenty of people to play with, 50¢ a game. They sometimes have food, typically for events; the jukebox works, and they have an old-timey cigarette machine.

I consider it a perk, but some might need to be warned, you can smoke in here and plenty do. Liquor selection is small but curated, there's plenty to drink, but it's not exactly a cocktail bar. It serves a bit of a niche, albeit one I personally dig. Try the Long Island.“

I'd recommend you stick to cans as the taps sometimes taste off. No food beyond small bags of chips. Usually a smallish fairly quiet crowd of usuals. Solid dive bar overall.“
