“Had to give The Lab five stars due to the absolutely out of this world food! My husband and I travel all over the country, mainly seeking out destination restaurants and let me tell you the food here is on par with that of the some most prestigious places across the country. My husband said he would rate the ribeye in his top five EVER! Other dishes are creative and delicious as well. Very cool atmosphere, makes you forget you are in Washington while you are dining. I will mention service could have been much more polished to match the food and ambiance. The majority of our question about the dishes where met with an “I’m not sure” from our server. Not really acceptable to not know the menu frontward and backwards when trying to deliver a fine dining experience. However the quality of the food and cocktails helped us over look the lack luster service. So ecstatic that this restaurant is in our neighborhood. Blows away ANYTHING Pittsburgh has to offer! We will return soon!“

“One of my favorites for a quality menu with superb food and drinks. The atmosphere can get a little crammed so we get there early before the rush. The staff is beyond excellent and in all my years of dining here I have not been treated badly. Kudos on management!“

“What a special place to celebrate our anniversary! Not only was the food delicious and reasonably priced, we had wonderful service. We were surprised by a handmade anniversary card from the staff and a complimentary dessert. The Juniper Grill is definitely on our list to return to!“

“First time back to Roland’s Trattoria in a while. So happy it’s reopened. The sauce is probably the best restaurant prepared sauce around- absolutely no bitterness or bite. The veal was tender and a very nice portion. The angel hair pasta cooked to perfection. This restaurant is apparently not well known or the fact that it is open again, after the owner retired, hasn’t reached the population in the area. This is an absolute MUST try experience. Well done, Roland’s. Oh, almost forgot- homemade bread. Baked in house daily and so fresh and soft Italian bread.“
“This place has great food. The wood fired pizzas are all good! We LOVE the loaded fries. The beer cheese is delicious. I think the food here is a hidden gem. Every time we go there, it’s empty and that surprises me. Maybe they need better advertising? I do think that if a place isn’t consistently busy that servers will move on. Waitress wage being $2.83 per hour still? This amazes me. Our server was Amanda and she was great.“

“I have been coming here for a while off and on over the years one suggestion on the sliders
Toast the buns a little better for the crisp no burgers should have a soggy bun
Only flaw
Everything else is great
They had no chocolate that freezes for the main dessert
Any restaurant should have everything for any dish
Get the menu right“

“If you are looking to get the sense of the local vibe of a neighborhood, this is just the place. I was in the town of Hickory, PA, for a play just a mile or so down the road, and you can tell by the sign outside that this spot has been part of the fabric of the town for quite some time.
There are a few parking spots directly next to the restaurant, but more likely you are going to park in the large parking lot across the street; just be careful as cars are coming quickly as you cross as this is Route 50, a major highway. It’s cozy and quaint inside, with interesting wall decorations and a rustic old fireplace. There are a couple of videogame machines, and I read that they even have trivia nights here. Tables are very close together, some with chairs and some with cozy round bench seating, which occasionally makes it a bit awkward as you find yourself looking directly at your neighbors and overhearing their conversations a bit more than you might like. However, this also kind of adds to the neighborly vibe. There’s also a full bar area which was quite busy.
Service is incredibly sweet, helpful and efficient! My server was quick to provide recommendations and was always spot-on. The burgers and quesadillas are big sellers here, and both were great choices. We didn’t try the wings, although those seem to be big sellers as well. I was surprised by how many things are housemade, from the bleu cheese and ranch dressings to the potato chips. The food here is solid and it’s clear the team takes a lot of pride in providing high-quality items and a good experience.
This is also conveniently located to Star Lake, and the quality makes it not surprising it’s stood the test of time as a neighborhood institution. It’s good pub food with great service and a solid pick in this area.“

“Visited the area and was told to get the Pittsburger...meh! Should have gone with the Pastrami. They need to upgrade this sandwich. The coleslaw and fries on the burger are ok, but the burger was truly lame af. Bread should at least be toasted with assume butter.
Great sports bar atmosphere. Will go here again. You should too!“

“Although I haven’t drank here,I deliver their beer to here. The people are always very nice, the bar is always clean, especially the bathroom, insure the womens is clean but I can’t speak with experience of being in there. Lol When me and my wife do go out on one of our weekend “dates” ,we’ll definitely stop here, because it seems like a very nice place to stop and have a couple of the beers Ive delivered.“
“The owner Brian is awesome! He was always very nice and was able to snag me some Dogfish 120 min IPAs when no other beer shop I have been to would help me. I used to go to McMurray distributor but not anymore now that I found this place. Much better prices as well. Would highly recommend!“

Connie could not have been more hospitable with her knowledge of drinks, conversation and amazing service. Scott, Food & Bev.Manager was highly impressive as well. “Wild Rosemary was warm and wonderful. The food was fantastic and fellowship with the table introduces a sense of community. Breaking bread with your neighbor from the down the street while sipping wine warms your heart. We had so much fun sharing laughs and soaking up red sauce with homemade bread. If you don’t make this your next stop, you’re making a mistake.“

“Primanti’s is rarely less than A+. Purists may defecate on pizza being on the menu these days, but this is a SOLID pie. Had a slice as a side to the sandwich and subsequently ordered a large to take home. They got the pizza right, at least in Bridgeville.“

“We visited Jackson's last week. We were introduced to our server, the hostess informed us she was new. Boy, was she fantastic! The food was an A+. We had soup of the day and Salmon, which was cooked perfectly. Our server was Bonnie Lynn and we will ask to be set in her section next time. She never quit smiling.“
