Gingerbread Man Reviews
The food is great and 99% of the staff is excellent besides the 2 younger gentlemen that check IDs at the door. They’re absolute scumbags.
Friendly staff! Food was amazing (and I’m very picky)!
Super packed when we came in so we sat at the bar. A table came open so we moved to it so we could actually talk. Waiter was soooo rude and wouldn’t come serve us. Waited atleast 45 minutes. Kept passing by and told us we couldn’t get drinks at the bar. Then again refused to come to us. Happy birthday to me.

Gingerbread Man is a friendly place with a relaxing atmosphere, featuring private nooks for dinner conversations. The restaurant offers a huge menu with a great selection of draft beers, cans, bottles, and whiskey. The food is terrific, including highlights like the amazing Chili and the massive Mushroom & Swiss Burger, although some find the burgers to be mediocre. The atmosphere is incredible and has a cool, iconic old-world charm, reminiscent of England or Scotland. While the service is generally great, with bartenders like Kathy, Tyler, and Liz providing quick and attentive service, there have been reports of inconsistencies with happy hour prices. Additionally, the need for wristbands and ID checks for everyone entering has been noted as a new requirement. Some issues with the bouncer have been mentioned, but inside staff remain welcoming and helpful. The restaurant is a nice spot, especially after a show at the nearby Carlisle Theatre, although parking can be a little hard to find. It’s important to note that nobody is allowed in under 21 after 5 PM, and unfortunately, the restaurant does not have wheelchair accessibility due to steps at the entrance and main dining area. Overall, Gingerbread Man remains a popular choice for a late lunch or dinner, with generous portions and great onion rings.
