“I wasn't able to cook Christmas dinner. We were calling every place on Christmas day. Manny's was the only one to answer. Sam was so sweet. Even though they weren't doing orders to go or anything like that I think he really felt how much I needed this. Not just the food but a win you know. He so incredibly kind to me. We've never ate there. So, I hung up looked up the menu and called back with our order which was a big one. Again he was awesome answering questions about the food as I placed the order. Explained it would take a little bit since it was just him cooking it. I honestly didn't care how long it took as long as the food tasted half way decent. When my hubby and Mom went to get it he told them he wasn't able to make my tuna melt and what would I like in place of it. So hubby got me a hot sausage.I just want everyone to know how incredibly kind Sam was to me on this Christmas day. Even though he wasn't suppose to to do a to go order he understood my need. And my both my hubby and mom said when they went to pick the food up he was extremely kind. They also said the bar was a nice looking place. So, me and the hubby will be coming there soon,lol. Plus, the food was absolutely incredible!!! All 6 of us were very much satisfied.Thank you Sam from the bottom of my heart for what you did for me and my family today when I couldn't. “This was my first time here. I highly recommend. The environment was friendly and full of different groups of people having a blast. Some were watching the game on the big TV's, some were playing the available board games. The music was poppin'!!! People of all ages were there which I thought was cool. Everyone was having a blast and I will be back. Staff was friendly and helpful!“
“I love the burgers at twin peaks. I recently started going here, and I fell in love with the hangover burger. I buy the billionaire bacon as well, sooo good. I like the fries as well, but they have a bit too much seasoning for me. I also enjoyed the blonde beer. The staff is also pretty cool never had an issue with them. “Fun little southside bar. I usually go for trivia on Wednesdays and it's always a great time. Only complaint is it's a very small bar and doesn't have a lot of seating.All of the food I've tried has been good also. I highly recommend trying the wings.“
“I treated a few of my students to Easter brunch. They even upgraded us to a private room, which gave the kids space to get the wiggles out, yet still practice their etiquette. All of the children's meals super were affordable. Our waiter was exceptionally kind and patient to all of my little guest. He made them feel welcomed and let them practice communicating confidently.Kid-friendliness: Kids prices were a flat rate. Options were dynamic yet limited so little brains didn't get overwhelmed with options.“
“Gordo's is great! Let me preface this review by saying I love Nashville Hot Chicken but outside of Nashville, TN is has been difficult to find a "hot" chicken that compares to what I've had in Tennessee. Some other places around the Burgh have Nashville Hot Chicken but the spice combinations don't work. At Gordo's the Nashville Hot Chicken Taco is so good with a perfect spice blend. It tastes like hot chicken tacos that I had at Pie Town Tacos in Nashville. Gordo's is the place in Pittsburgh to satisfy your hot chicken craving. Not to mention, their other menu items are delicious too. And they have great margs. My second favorite menu item is the Churoli- A churro and cannoli hybrid that rocks!“
“A nice neighborhood bar. All of the staff are very friendly. Prices are very reasonable. Lots of tv’s to watch a game. Mostly domestics on draft with a few crafts. Their smash burger is one of the best I’ve had anywhere in a long time. For the price, it absolutely can’t be beat (hint - go on a Wednesday). I’m telling you can’t get a better burger for the price anywhere.“
“Good Food, Awesome Staff, the amount of pictures of the owner was a touch I found odd, and something called "CumbBurger" had me laughing.Extra star given to offset Karen's one star because she brought in a party of 8 when they were already busy.This place is small, I would never try to bring more than 6 people at once, even then you would need 2 tables.Cumb, you seem like a fun guy, maybe even fun enough to bring in more business by just being there to talk to, but it kind of felt like a museum dedicated to your accomplishments.Keep living life to the max, I'd definitely come back.“
