“I met up with a friend here on a Sunday afternoon. I never had mead before so we both were very interested in experiencing a new taste. First, the place has a very cool and interesting mix of antiques and vintage decorations. There is a cabinet with all kinds of bottles, collectables about Wilmington, DE brewing history....which I loved! Great atmosphere. All the staff was very helpful and friendly. We did a flight of mead drinks which were very interesting to taste and experience. We wound up enjoying the cider that they brew. Im not a big cider guy guy but, it had a great burst of flavor and was delicious. Deep Routed cider was our favorite. They had a food truck there as well. We just had drinks but, it looked like a hip food truck.Overall I would definitely recommend trying this place. The drinks were very refreshing and super tasty. The owner was on site and very informative. He is definitely passionate about his mead and cider production. It shows when you drink his products. I have been back and you can grab a growler to go and they give you back reward bucks too. Great unique place definitely worthy to check out. It has a nice coutyard outdoor space which looks very inviting come springtime.“
“Stopped in for a quick lunch on a rainy Friday afternoon. Was greeted by the pleasant staff and seated right away. Ordered the lunch special, minestrone soup and roast pork sandwich. The food was reasonably priced and served within minutes of ordering. The minestrone was just perfect for the chilly weather and was very hearty and delicious. The sandwich was also very tasty, and the salad was well dressed (usually I ask for dressing on the side but forgot this time and was not an issue at all). Looking forward to my next visit!“
“Lovely space, the staff was so nice to us and friendly about answering questions, bag hooks at the bar (so important!), pretty good wine (subjective so can't really leave a review about this part), great menu descriptions for the different wines including a little about how they are made. Two of us got a flight and one of us just got a non-alcoholic drink, no food. The bathrooms are what I think of as European-style with fully closed stalls which I like. The bathrooms are also non-gendered which I also like, but threw my dad a bit. So clean! Would go back!“
“What a perfect evening/dinner. The presentation and flavors of the smoked trout and asparagus appetizer were phenomenal. The Rockfish was perfect. I never order dessert but will here based on last 2 visits. Pastry chef is a godsend. Tasted my friend’s sorbet and OMG!“
“We took visiting family to dine here. They enjoyed it. The food was excellent and the drinks were top shelf. But be prepared for a timely visit. Getting food to the table took awhile even though it wasn't crowded the night we went. So really good food, nice place but do it when you have time.“
“If your tired of the noisy pub grub and want fair price superbly prepared fine food in a comfy and classy atmosphere, Culinaria is your place. It has become our go-to place for fine dining and we've always enjoyed the food, service, and ambiance. We frequent Culinaria several times per year. This time our table of 4 had salmon, lamb chops, and trout topped with crabmeat. Everyone loved their meals and there were some left overs for lunch tomorrow. Highly recommend.Parking: Access and parking is fine.Kid-friendliness: Seems to be kid friendly but you won't find chicken fingers nad french fries on the menu so check out the menus before bringing children.Wheelchair accessibility: No problem with wheelchair accessiblity.“
“Old world steakhouse atmosphere. Service was excellent and our appetizers of porlk bellies and stuffed mushrooms were delicious. The lamb chops were beautifully prepared and seasoned. And of course the filets were temped to perfection. Combine this with some martinis and an exquisite malbec and you have a truly excellent meal. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly which helped round out a fabulous evening.“
“I was impressed with this restaurant before even trying it out! When I looked this place up, just the pictures alone blew me away! So, when I actually went to see if it met up to my expectations, it surpassed them ? I now love this restaurant!“
“Stumbled upon this place while walking in the area and it was the best thing to happen to me that afternoon. I LOVE Italian food especially coming from New York I felt like moving to this area i don’t get a lot of real Italian food and when i tell you every time im in the area i will only come here! The lobster ravioli was the best dish I’ve had in a long time! Will always support. Amazing service as wellVegetarian options: A lot of vegetarian options. I am pescatarian but i remember thinking to myself they had a lot of veggie options for someone that doesn’t eat any animal products. All amazing and & authentic. Fresh!“
“We stopped in for lunch as the previous reviews led me to believe this was the best time to come. We really liked everything we ordered too. We expected smaller venue honestly and more of a panera set up. However to my surprised it was full service. They had gluten free options when I asked the server who checked with the kitchen but the menu is labeled. The lattes we had were really good and only $5! I think this is a good addition for the area! sorry all photos are on insta: emsbitez“
“My husband and I sat at the bar Saturday and had drinks and appetizers. The food is always good but the service was outstanding! We enjoyed prosciutto wrapped asparagus, bruschetta, and wings. The live music was amazing. Very busy. The girls behind the bar could not catch a break with the amount of customers they had. Kelly the bartender has wonderful personality and is just superb. I cannot say enough good things about her. Props to La Porta for having great staff.“
“Outstanding food. Opted for ala carte instead of tasting because not everyone at the table was able to participate. I prefer the tasting menu but everything was still delicious. The chef is not only talented, but he also is very accommodating. Be sure to try his breakfast/brunch restaurant, Ciro Forty Acres -- fantastic!“
“My husband and I are fortunate to be able to visit and eat in a lot of different cities, and when we're in Wilmington we go to Le Cav ... we have never been disappointed. Delicious food and cocktails, very good service, beautiful space. It's pricy but worth it. If you are in a rush, don't go. (I've seen mention about the valet, etc. in other posts ... keep in mind that the restaurant is attached to a hotel so the valet, bathrooms, etc. could quite possibly be the responsibility of the hotel and not the restaurant.)“
“First time visit. Made reservations online for 10 people for my daughters 18th birthday. Our waitress Chrissy showed us to a private room which was perfect for this occasion. Didn’t even request a private room so was a neat surprise. Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant and that you could see the kitchen while food was cooking. Chrissy took amazing care of us throughout. She was so sweet and the manager came in to check on us as well. Every dish ordered came out at once with a dazzling array of at least 5 waitresses. Special attention was given to us and the service was incredible. Food came fast and perfectly cooked. I highly recommend the ribeye with lobster fondue, the seared tuna superfood and the tomahawk pork chop. Everything was delicious. The kitchen sent out a special desert plate with candles for my daughter with the plate inscribed Happy 18th birthday. We had a blast and all the special attention we received did not go unnoticed. We all can’t wait to come back! They made this memorable occasion feel so special and I am so grateful. What a fantastic spot! 5 stars plus!“
