“I love AKI though I can only afford it if I'm a guest! Food is out of this world and the rable chefs give a great show while cooking my steak and shrimp to perfection.
I am not the biggest fan of Japanese food yet the choices here leave me with steak and shrimp, my favorites, while enjoying the other sides I like.
Eating at a chefs cook top limits conversation to people next to you, but that is the only downside.
Well worth the expense for a semi-upscale event.”

“I most definitely recommend the Menno Haven Rehabilitation Facility! I was a patient there recovering from COVID. I could hardly move when I arrived and when I left, I walked out of the facility. The nursing and therapy staff is, "second to none!" I wish them all the very best!”

“Recently had the pleasure of an excellent meal at this restaurant (Relax). The food was wonderful including my creme Brule. Our wait person, Amelia, was top notch and didn't miss a beat and there were 8 of us. I had the sesame glazed salmon and it was excellent. Had a similar meal about 2 weeks ago at Airport Inn and the food by far was much better at Relax and cheaper too, I might add.”

“SO GOOD! wow. we havent had the best experience chinese food wise here in chambersburg but this place was AMAZING. we spent about $70 got 4 appetizers & 3 meals. everything was delicious!! the crab rangoon remind me of the ones from my hometown, the eggrolls were super flavorful, the generak tsos was the BEST ive had; the chicken melts in your mouth. the wonton soup & fried rice were pretty flavorless but the portions were so big we really didnt even have extra room to eat them, so it wasnt a huge loss to me. same thing for the lo mein, but we just sauced it up back at the house. the service was super fast & they even gave us free donuts. i was planning to order them before i checked out but removed them beforehand i was SOO excited to see they were in the bag. the woman at the counter was really friendly & gave us even more freebies at checkout. we will definitely be back. 10/10”

“I have been coming here for going on 10 years and this is like the best place in all of Chambersburg. I’ve lived in Chambersburg my whole life. They are so good at what they do and are always so friendly. I’m a vegetarian and I get the special tacos with beans and rice and they always do amazing. My fiancé gets Carne Asada’s, which are amazing as well. Everything you get here is great. The green salsa is to die for. They have such good quality ingredients and are always so generous with their portions as well as affordable. Over the years me and my fiancé have had many dates at Checko‘s and it’s nice to keep coming back over the years and still have such good quality for such a good price. Love you checkos!!”

“We come to Chambersburg every summer and Mod each year as well. In past years, the service has been very fast. This year it’s been exhaustingly slow, they seem to take much longer topping pizzas and taking orders. Not sure what’s going on with that. Also their tables are always sticky and dirty. But other than that the food is always top tier, they have a great drink selection and I love their no name cakes. Great pizza!!!”

“Little ice cream stand on the rail trail - very pleasant staff and customers. We had the orange creamsicle soft serve and at first it tasted very creamy and good. About half way into it though, it started to taste not real and very aerated, and worst of all, suspiciously not melty - and we walked in the sun on a hot day. Wouldn't get the soft serve again unfortunately.”

“Excellent experience. We came in during a low traffic time on a Sunday afternoon. The food was excellent. Tasted very fresh and really quite delicious. I appreciated the fact that they don't overwhelm you with huge portions or over seasoned food. The nachos were delicious. The pupusas were outstanding, some of the best we have had. Service was attentive and the bathrooms were clean. Atmosphere is pretty good for a low-key place. Definitely will come back.”

Also they have a special on Thursday, it's half price for a banana split with all kind of toppings of your choice. Stop by Brusters. Try them, my experience has lasted more than four years plus.”

We’ve eaten here 5 times now and it’s been consistent every single time. Our go to order has been the General Tsos combo with chicken lo mein, the sweet and sour chicken combo with chicken fried rice, and an order of fried dumplings (this time we did 2 chicken fried rice and a separate large chicken lo mein because their fried rice and lo mein are incredible, we got 5 amazing chicken sticks for free since our order was over $35, they have other free promotions listed on the front cover of the menu if you’re curious). Give this place a chance, you won’t regret it!”

We did not expect healthy Caribbean menu options at a neighborhood bar, especially after 10 pm! The Dominican, Jamaican, and Puerto Rican choices made it hard to pick just one, but the huge portions of rice & beans (also more than one kind!) made it challenging to finish and worth every bite! Accessibility is painful and difficult for disabled diners, but the music is easy to dance to, and staff found a table and a chair to sit and dine in, despite the many hi-tops and bar stools between the dance floor and two pool tables. A hidden gem disguised as a dive bar!”

“The workers went above and beyond for myself and my disabled son. I was absolutely terrified about stopping for gas on such a long trip solo with my son. The staff helped me with gas, as well as allowed me the time for a much needed break to feed my son. They as well as a few random people gave me the confidence to complete our journey in the heatwave.
My only complaint had nothing to do with the staff, but with the fact that there was no changing table in the restroom.
My suggestion would be a changing table that includes multiple sizes, not just an infant sized one.”

“Went to Family Table after recommendations for the Thanksgiving holiday with my family of 12. We made reservations prior and were sat by our reservation time. Food was delicious, hot and tasty. There were constantly people checking the buffet and making sure no food or plates ran out. There was a good variety and was not too overcrowded. Drinks were refilled and dirty plates were constantly being removed. They worked together to give the best experience. Mac and cheese, fried shrimp and the roast with the beef gravy was a huge hit for me. The price was competitive and def worth the value for what we received.”

“I went through the drive-thru around 1:30-2pm today in the middle of an anxiety attack, hoping for a quick meal for the family that didn’t involve work nor stress, (May 2nd, 2024), and I just have to say the girl working drive through was great. She was kind, efficient, fast and even had a sense of humor. I have intense social anxiety, and she helped me leave the drive-thru calm and happier. I love when I experience employees like that. And the food was yummy too! Thankful for decent people in this day that don’t make me feel like a burden for ordering.”

We found the Front of the House staff member, Kathy to be exceptionally helpful, friendly and took great care of us, The Baker, on staff, that day had just pulled more Macaroons from the oven - (we asked for 2 dozen) + Kathy sliced a loaf of fresh Sourdough for us to go. The restaurant was also clean well stocked. My 1st visit and it will definitely not be my last. Well done!”
