About Highlands Pizza & Wings

Highlands Pizza & Wings is a restaurant and market located near a lodge, known for its delicious pizza and sandwiches. The pizza has a great crust and fresh toppings, including mushrooms, tomatoes, and sausage. The garlic bread is also a popular choice. The sandwiches are hearty and delicious, with options such as breakfast sandwiches, ham and Swiss, corned beef, Italian, turkey BLT, and chicken bacon ranch. The bacon is thick, and the pretzel buns are soft. The market section of the restaurant is well-stocked with higher-end brands, local products, and a great beer selection. Prices are slightly higher than average, but the quality of the food and service makes up for it. The owner is friendly and even offered a ride to a customer who was walking back to their hotel. The restaurant has a variety of items available, including bread, bacon, lettuce, tomato, beer, wine, pasta, meat, pastries, deli sandwiches, cleaning supplies, and toiletries.

Recent reviews mention that the pizzas are good but could use more flavor and better seasoning. The white pizza and pepperoni pizza are appreciated for their quality cheese, but the crust may be frozen or proofed a bit off, affecting the texture. Some reviewers suggest that tweaking the sauce, adding more salt, and baking at higher temperatures could improve the pizza. The sandwiches, like the Italian sub, are seen as tasty with nice toppings. The place is clean, and staff are friendly and talkative. Customers have enjoyed their salads and appreciate the friendly service. Due to limited dough availability at times, wings are also offered as an alternative. Overall, the restaurant is a nice spot for a quick, tasty meal and has potential for even better pizza with minor adjustments.

Had the pizza and the garlic bread. Was great! Great crust and I loved the sauce. Mushrooms and tomatoes on mine were fresh. Sausage wasn’t greasy on my hubby’s. The kid loved it too. Plus it’s so close. Yea!!!

This place is the biggest rip off food wise that I’ve encountered in my 69 years of existence. Although the cost of the subs that I purchased were plainly marked on the website, the reasonable expectation would be that for $18 each, they would be larger than 6” and contain more than 3 slices of meat. I have to believe that this establish does not subsist on repeat business. TRAVELLER BEWARE
