“Thank you for the Dine and Donate event on April 17 supporting The Timothy School. The food was delicious! The pretzel nuggets were warm and tasty and it was cool to see the crowd applaud the Phillies during the game. Our waitress Victoria couldn't have been nicer.“

“We just love our new family restaurant! We get treated like family everytime we go!!!! The atmosphere is so cozy and the staff is exceptional. And let's talk about the food - it's absolutely to die for! The portions during happy hour are perfect and the prices are so reasonable.

But the best part? Let me introduce you to DAVID! He's the star of the show - always attentive, funny, and he makes drinks like a true master! Whenever I go, I insist on being seated with David.

They made our anniversary so special and they truly care about their guests' experience. We feel so lucky to have this gem in the neighborhood. I'd travel far and wide for this level of excellence!

Oh, and I can't forget to mention my favorites: The Good Good Things drink, the Buffalo wings during happy hour, and the amazing cheesesteak! And my kids absolutely love the huge, deep dish, extra cheesy pizza.

We're off to our reservation with David - can't wait! If you go, make sure to say hi to him and tell him Mink sent you!

Almost forgot the fresh house made potato chips!!!! So so so good!!! Don't skip them!

The staff are super friendly, attentive and go out of their way to get to know you and your pup to make sure everyone is having a great experience. We drive 1hr each way each time just to come here! “I haven't been here since the pandemic began. The food was good - typical of Center City casual lunch places. Burger was very good, so were the fries. Got to say the Wings appetizer with the dry rub used to be incredible.. Sometimes we'd go there just for the wings. But now, they were meh. Perhaps it is just me, but they just seemed kinda uninteresting.

Service was average - what id expect for that kind of place. Again, nothing amazing.

In summary, it is fine. Nothing to brag about but good enough to go back to.“

“I am a regular at Spin Philadelphia. I usually go and have a very good time. I enjoy the food, drinks, and the atmosphere. I recently had a situation where someone asked security to deal with me. I was upset and started acting up because I was being wrongfully accused. Even though my night was going bad, I felt better because of the way I was treated by some staff. The security guy with the bandana and the front desk ping pong player were very nice to me. They heard me out, showed me respect, and were very understanding of the situation. They assured me that I was welcomed back anytime. I really appreciated that. Thank you.“

“Cozy and chill spot for good drinks and food. Seat yourself and they'll stop over to help you out. Spent about $80 for two people both having a drink, entree, and splitting an ap which is pretty good pricing in Philly. Got the watermelon mint smash, fried pickles, fish and chips, short rib grilled cheese, and a wheat beer the waitress recommended. All amazing and fresh tasting.

Parking: Metered street parking but came in the afternoon on a Saturday and was able to park on the same block.

Wheelchair accessibility: Tables for outdoor dining available. Front door is about 3 feet but a little heavy for accessibility to work it one handed. From the ground level front door there is a ramp up to a wide turning circle. A few tables available right off the ramp. A group came in with two strollers and an employee came right over to rotate one of the tables to make it easier for their group of 4 (2 strollers not included) and they had no issues. Rest of the restaurant including access to the bathroom is narrow, about a 2 foot path, but all on the same plane.“

“We absolutely love the Westgate Pub. We recently had my daughter's first holy communion party in their private room and it was spectacular. Our server was great, the food was delicious, and the party decor and planning was beautiful and out of this world. Sue goes above and beyond with her decorations at Westgate. They treat you like family and they are our favorite local restaurant hands down. Highly recommend for events, lunch/dinner, or casual drinks at the bar! Thank you Westgate!!!“

“Despite being a little run-down, the Mermaid is understandably well-loved for its historic building retaining much of its architectural detail & charm. The colonial era inn claims the finely-detailed rich brown wood bar is original.We visited for the first time to see the final performance of the fantastic groove-band the Sacred Cowboys. Great band & fans! Large, supportive crowd!We didn't eat, but the bar staff was efficient & friendly.“

We had a party of 4 and the staff were very accomodating, providing access to outlets for recharging devices when needed as well as being attentive to our drinks and clearing the table as soon as we were finished with our plates. Ok, l am a classic carnivore, meaning, l am very much in to meat and potatos, and during a business trip in Phliadelphia l pass by a small yet attractive place, it look quiet but cozy, so l decided to give it a try...

...what a big surprise when l got the best ribeye and mashed potatos that l had in a long time, cooked to medium perfection, perfectly seasoned, and those mashed potatos, just like grandma's flavors...

It was a pleasure to meet Mr. Gary, the owner, who kindly possed with me for the photo...

“I have been eating Hykel's hoagies for over 60 years and like to consider myself somewhat of an authority on the subject- I just had one today while watching the Eagles game. Pretty incredible to hold it together for that long! Order an American Hoagie- trust me on this - the perfect blend of meats and cheese, lettuce tomatoes and chopped onions, on a Conshy bakery roll. Still the one I compare to when testing any other hoagie . Regarding the score- I go to Hykels for a hoagie, I don't care about the atmosphere or service, not that it's bad, it's just not why someone would go to Hykel's Bar.“
