Coffee took 15 min to get.

“Not sure what Allie's issue really is this this place. Do they love their country and proudly show their support for police? Yes they do. Food is good, cheap and served by friendly people. I have never felt unsafe or unwelcome. It is a local place and I hope it never changes.“

“First time visiting the Steam Pub! I started out a little disappointed because they were out of my first two choices. I decided to get the blue cheese burger and fries. It was phenomenal! The burger was huge and juicy. The blue cheese was delicious and the fries were battered and a huge portion! Our server was attentive and took great care of us. “I stopped at the New Britain Inn for lunch today for the first time in several years, and the food was fantastic!

I had the roast beef sandwich with cheese, horseradish sauce, and au jus. The roast beef was extremely tender, the sandwich was generously proportioned, and the combination of the horseradish and au jus was excellent.

I got the onion rings on the side, and they were delicious and plentiful—so many that I couldn’t finish them all!

I used to come here years ago for the ribs, but it had been quite a while since I’d been back. I’m glad I stopped in today. The service was good, the portions were generous, and the food was outstanding.

Definitely a 5-star lunch. I’ll be back“

“Listen... nuff said when u order Mozz Sticks and the sauce, which I never eat, is what makes the night but if you think the stick itself is regular, you err, everything about this bar is 100. Bartenders need to learn how to work the remote for the music , It is Bose system that you can adjust for each end of the bar and the right channel is off along with the bass . lol I always listen to music when I am there .“

“The young ladies behind the bar are sweet, personable and professional. If you go twice, they'll remember your name and what you drink. And this may be a best-kept secret but the roast pork sandwich with long hots will CRUSH 90% of those in South Philadelphia. Doesn't need the cup of "jus" they include, but you can down it like a shot. Pro tip: Try subbing Cooper Sharp for Provolone.“

“The best seafood restaurant around while offering various plates not from the sea. The service and drinks are great! I have enjoyed several plates here which were all flavorful and large portions. So many options to choose from on the menu. The bar and dining room are comfortable and you can enjoy a great ambience. Hope to see you there soon as we go regularly.“

“This was our first time at the mermaid inn. When they first seated us, they put us all the way in the back near the kitchen which I was not happy about but I asked the hostess if there was a different table that we could move to and she was able to switch us to a much better location. The waiter was fantastic. He was so personable and had great suggestions. I had the fish tacos which were good and felt like a lot of food. My husband had the clam chowder and lobster roll (Connecticut style /hot with butter instead of with mayo and cold). We didn't have room for dessert. The drinks were sweet but good.“
