We had to make a slight change in order for a vegetarian, and they had no issues. “Stumbled across this hidden gem in Norristown while waiting for the shuttle to the elmwood park zoo. This place has so many options from fresh juices, homemade ice cream, popsicles, ice cream, desserts and lunch options. The service is awesome too , the person helping us offered different samples to see what we would like before purchasing and explained all the ingredients in certain options. We ended up getting thin mint and a pumpkin, which were both delicious. It was surprising to see only 3 ice cream flavors: chocolate, vanilla and a special custom one they made but that's what makes the quality of the ice cream so good. I got a turtle ice cream sundae and it was incredible. The ice cream itself was so creamy and the perfect amount of milky tasting. What stood out was the flavor was a touch more sweet than store bought ice cream, maybe from vanilla extract but not in an overpowering way at all. They also sold various candy, chocolates and candied apples. I took home a turtle apple too, which was also incredible. “I was out at the Home Depot in Broomall and was taking West Chester Pike home and came across this Rita's and decided to stop off. I went up to the window and looked at their menu. I was surprised to see they had a variety of custard flavors including mint, birthday cake along with the usual vanilla and chocolate. I decided to try the birthday cake custard in a medium cup. It came out to a little over $3, which I found to be fairly reasonable and it came out very fast. There was not much seating other than a few benches in the back, which were filled. However, they had a nicely sized parking lot that you could walk around and enjoy your sweet treat at. Altogether, this is a nice Rita's with a variety of water ice and custard flavors with good customer service.“

The ice cream quality was great which was rich and luxurious in texture , and the surprising elements were pieces of cookies and fudge which added the bit of crunch tothe ice-cream. The waffle cone was classic with sugar flavored and crunchy texture. Iwould definitely try their ice cream with wafflefor sure which elevates the whole experienceof having an ice-cream.I have also tried their sampleof chocolate toasted coconut which was yummy. Chocolate and coconut was an interesting flavor to try out in an ice cream and it was so good.
