“After 1 1/2 hours of training Monday night in 99 degree heat, 15 members of the Barren Hill Volunteer Fire Company headed to Rita’s Conshohocken. To our surprise, the manager treated the crew to Ice Cream, Water Ice & Gelati. Many, many thanks for your generosity and support. Most refreshing Mango Gelati I ever had!

“Too difficult to buy a cup of coffee here, the coffee ordering set up should be in the front, not the back and why is it so dark in the back? I want to like this place but it has no vibe…just the sight of staffers running around. The Hostess always looks bored and the back is like a madhouse. It’s one of the only places to get a cup of coffee ☕ near to Rittenhouse Park but where it’s well lit, it’s a quiet upscale grocery shop but the back feels like you’ve entered a subway station at rush hour!

Not sure what the remedy is but I’d suggest that you open up the front space, remove the annoying velvet rope and stop putting “reserved” signs on all of the tables (just sit people there who want to enjoy a cup of coffee for 15 minutes). This is a beautiful spot, but boy does it stress me out once you walk in the back.

Put on Italian music and hire some drop dead gorgeous guy or gal who knows how to convey ITALIAN WARMTH to customers!!! Every time I walk in the hostess is shy. She should be greeting guests and be IN FRONT, not planted at the podium.

BEST water ice AND ice cream in Philly and around!!! I live in the city and can’t wait to get off from work (near chubby’s) to get my Gelati. So far I’ve tried pineapple mango and candy fish and they are all so delicious, not overly sweet and don’t taste artificial. The vanilla ice cream, is so creamy milky and flavorful that you’ll never want to go back to soft serve. Seriously this is so good. They have little tables in front of the shop where you can sit relax and enjoy your treat. The staff is kind and respectful.
Try it while you also support a local business, it’s a win win!“

“Always a good time to get ice cream! They can have a long line sometimes, depending on time of day and of course weather. But they are still quick and I'm surprised at how quickly I move through the line. They call you to the window, as they hand out orders through the same window. Be prepared to hear what you ordered yelled out, they will take other orders through the window to keep things moving. Limited seating but most people take it and leave or walk. There's a bench on the corner at the light. It would be nice if they added a second trash can up that way at the edge of the parking lot since there's a spot no cars can park. Overall highly recommend, we've converted friends to coming here too. The fall flavors are all great, and they have a ton of different options to get.“

We were greeted by a line when I frowned and he said that it’s fast moving. I shrugged. Honestly, I was disheartened by what was available this week of no fault of their own. But! I know now to check when I’m in town for something I’d really want - to convince for more ice cream dates. There is a regular albeit small menu. To be delight, it has my favourite ice cream staple on it, soft serve and m&ms or what they call a Brick. The line to the inside was also fast moving like promised. There were two registers that were asymmetrically split as most wanted soft serve in that moment. The inside was.. busy. Once the ice cream came out tho we were back on the street enjoying it! I got my brick which was a fantastic price for a city treat. My date got an Oreo dripped cone that he was boosting about in line. Definitely more his taste.
