“After 1 1/2 hours of training Monday night in 99 degree heat, 15 members of the Barren Hill Volunteer Fire Company headed to Rita’s Conshohocken. To our surprise, the manager treated the crew to Ice Cream, Water Ice & Gelati. Many, many thanks for your generosity and support. Most refreshing Mango Gelati I ever had!

My two favorites right now are the banana pudding milkshake and the pepperoni pizza pretzel and then the blueberry jawn my wife favorite. “Delicious ice cream! Very cute interior and nice seating outside. I got the mango sticky rice and caramel praline flavors. The ice cream was very creamy and satisfying. Very kind staff. Would love to come back again. Vegan options are available which is wonderful. Also appreciate how clear their signage is regarding potential allergens with an allergen list available via QR code. Very cool that their spoons are compostable and sample spoons are metal and thus washable. Love an environmentally friendly location.“

“I absolutely love Kilwins in Midtown Village. I came across this location early this year after going for wine with some friends at Vintage Wine Bar. The hand dipped Graham crackers, pretzels, Rice crispy treats are divine! The seafood chocolates were so good. “I’ve been dying for an ice cream date since the winter and I finally got my wish! My date told me this was the place to get ice cream and made the 10 minute walk over. We were greeted by a line when I frowned and he said that it’s fast moving. I shrugged. Once we figured out where the end was, told me to pull up Instagram to check out what the weekly offerings were. Peculiar I thought. Honestly, I was disheartened by what was available this week of no fault of their own. But! I know now to check when I’m in town for something I’d really want - to convince for more ice cream dates. There is a regular albeit small menu. To be delight, it has my favourite ice cream staple on it, soft serve and m&ms or what they call a Brick. The line to the inside was also fast moving like promised. There were two registers that were asymmetrically split as most wanted soft serve in that moment. The inside was.. busy. Once the ice cream came out tho we were back on the street enjoying it! I got my brick which was a fantastic price for a city treat. My date got an Oreo dripped cone that he was boosting about in line. Definitely more his taste.

“Stopped by Lu & Aug’s in Ardmore, PA, and this place is a sweet little gem! I tried the Wild Mint Chocolate and Toffee Pecan, and both were smooth, creamy, and full of flavor.

The Wild Mint Chocolate had that cool, refreshing mint taste with a rich chocolate kick. It was not boring or basic at all — it tasted fresh, sweet, and perfect for a warm day.

The Toffee Pecan was my favorite for that dessert-style flavor. It had a buttery, nutty taste with little crunchy pieces that made every sip better. Sweet, creamy, and packed with texture.

The presentation was simple but clean, and the drinks looked just as good as they tasted. Lu & Aug’s is definitely a spot worth checking out if you are in Ardmore and want something cold, sweet, and satisfying.

Foodie verdict: Creamy, flavorful, and worth the stop. I would definitely come back for more.

Never have I seen almost every guest request seconds. Even the kids were begging for more! Ordering on line was a breeze, with many more options than I imagined. Above all, from the online order to licking the last bit of icing off the plate, I was kept informed about how to keep it at the appropriate serving temperature (it has been very warm lately), when the cake could be picked up, etc. by text messages.
