I normally get the chicken with broccoli which is so good, they have really good French fries and cheese wontons. I’d definitely add this place to your dinner menu in the near future“

“Hubby wanted some Chinese and wanted to bc I where we could eat there. Sadly there’s few places left but China Palace is a gem tucked quietly in the plaza just past the buffet. The food was delicious, hot and plentiful. I ordered the coconut chicken. I’ve never received such a pretty plate, they crafted a little butterfly and a flower out of carrots and garnished my plate in them, the chicken had coconut shavings- a first. The rice was perfect- oh and the egg roll was perfect too! My daughter and husband both had lo mein, there were no complaints from them whatsoever. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a great family meal!“

I've waited on reviewing this place for a while since I don't come here consistently, so now that I've been here about 8 or more times across the last 2-3 years I feel like a review can actually be done. The service is good, fast, and friendly - although very quick and seems panicky at times. The atmosphere is fine, nothing to write home about - pretty plain overall but not bad by any means.

Im a big fan of their sashimi, miso soup, pad thai, specials, and dinner menu. Im glad I've kept coming back here and plan to continue to do so. I think this place deserves a lot for praise and hype for what it offers out here regarding having access to good asian food.“

“Quick turnaround on your order. I would definitely stick with steamed dumplings vs. Fried. Crab Rab appetizer are medium size not very large. LO mein was delicious Snrimp Egg foo young ..delicious ask for flat not chucky. General chicken good. I wish they offered the General shrimp on delivery menu . We pick up bi weekly or monthly from here yet I hv not asked if they can do the generals shrimp in a brown garlic sauce as that is fabulous and my go to. If I don't stick with veggies. Try and Enjoy! “You will not find better Chinese food and service in the area. For a while, I enjoyed the buffet. This place was the hookup during college/covid. I can’t tell you how many nights this place has fed me. The price is reasonable, there are so many things to buy outside of the food, and the take out is actually amazing. I recommend the mango shrimp with lo mien instead of white rice. Best Chinese dish I have had. I am welcomed like family and will never forget this place. Whether you are in college, local, or passing by, give qqs buffet a try. They also deliver!

“I can’t say enough about the quality of food and value from this restaurant. Everything was amazing! Their portion sizes were huge and their pricing was very fair. Everything my family and I ordered was fresh and high quality. They serve large, fresh shrimp not the tiny poor quality shrimp most other places use. The chicken was very tender. We all loved the fresh vegetables used in all of our dishes. Their dumplings were homemade and delicious! Everyone loved them. On top of having great food at great prices, they were all so friendly and kind. When we had delivery, it came quickly and the food was hot. (will be eating for a week) $12.99 Amazing Chicken. Lots of fresh veggies but no shortage of chicken. Again surprisingly huge portion. (will be eating for a day or three) Recommend! I ate one beefy rib and some Amazing Chicken before photo.“

“It's top notch as far as Chinese takeout dives. It's cleaner looking than most, the food is what it's supposed to be and cooked how it's supposed to be cooked. If you like Americanized-Chinese takeout quality food, this is the best I've had in the area. These places should be noticeably better than buffet quality. I like that they dont over-do the velveting/marinade process to where the meat is slimey and gamey, as some Chinese operators tend to do.“

“Looked up a spot for Chinese food. Saw this place had a good rating...so happy I came by. Oddly no one was here ..fast service food is delicious...I had bean curd with mixed veggies...veggies were cooked perfectly and it was piping hot and I had crab wontons and they are the best in town!

“I honestly cannot say enough great things about the quality and tasty food Eastern Wok provides NEPA. I’ve been a patron for years and will be for many years to come.

Over many years, I believe I’ve tried every single Chinese takeout restaurant in the Scranton area and, as a transplanted NY’er, my standards are high and the only Chinese takeout in the Scranton area that comes the closest to Canal St. standards is Eastern Wok. Like many others have told me, the tiniest of holes in the wall always have the best food.

The delivery is excellent, quality food at reasonable prices. As a transplanted NY’er, we love our Chinese food on Friday nights and Eastern Wok absolutely is far above the best of every other Chinese takeout restaurant I’ve tried in over a dozen years. The high quality ingredients, quality meats and fish, vegetables and small details like dishes not being overwhelmed with salt, grease and sugar show that someone cares in the product they are serving and delivering.

Since I’ve discovered this hidden gem, I’ve never once had a bad dish and I appreciate that because it’s a treat for me to enjoy takeout and appreciate the value I get for my money.

Wonderful menu to explore, quality meats, fish, vegetables and not drowned in salty, sugary sauces.

“Fine Chinese restaurant with the typical dishes available. Staff is friendly and the service was good and quick. Only reason for 4 star instead of 5 is I did feel like this place has slightly higher prices then some others I've been to.“

“The weird one thing I look for to tell if it’s a legitimate Chinese restaurant is something that reminds the owner(s) of home. There’s a huge lit picture of Hong Kong and Kowloon Harbour (taken from the top of Victoria Point) on their wall. They’re Cantonese, and the quality of the food shows their pride in where they’re from. You’re getting the closest thing to authentic Cantonese this side of the ferry to Mui Wo.“
