“Food here is SO GOOD. Everything is made fresh to order. Their fried pork cutlet is drizzled with homemade gravy, and their pork cutlet with cheese is so yummy as well. If you like cold noodles, you should definitely get their soba—I get it every time I come. But everything in the menu is so good. I love restaurants that have a limited menu and do the food justice. The ambience is calm, family-run vibe. Plenty of parking as well. And the servers are super friendly as well. Best donkatsu in town!!!“

“My family and I had an incredible dining experience tonight at Umai. We had a special, Kinmedai aka Golden Eye Snapper that was so fresh and tasty, out of this world good! We also had a treat with broiled tuna cheek that was also outstanding. Otoro was so velvety and rich, spicy hotate, sweet ebi, unagi, fried crabs, incredible sushi rolls, savory Akadashi (my son ordered a second it was so good) and everything else we ordered tonight was just incredible. I think the portions are good and the flavors of their speciality rolls work well together. I also enjoy their kitchen items and their miso soup is always delicious. “It was my first time eating at Osaka Hibachi and I was very pleased with both the meal and service.
I ordered the chicken and salmon hibachi and both meats were tender.
The vegetables were cooked perfectly.
The rice was also cooked well.
My only con was the teriyaki/ hibachi sauce was a tad bit salty. Other than that- great experience and you get a lot of food!“

“This place is a gem. Fast and friendly service, the best ginger dressing on a house salad I have ever tasted. The freshest fish you will find on the main line. The rice was served at the perfect temperature. The owners and staff are the nicest people you will ever meet. If I could only eat at one restaurant for the rest of my life, this would be the one.“

“This is a hidden gem for those that appreciate Asian or Japanese inspired dishes. I'm on a low carb diet and ordered a bowl without rice. The friendly employee suggested placing the meal on a salad and it was terrific. I will definitely be back for more! The prices are a bit more economical than typical sushi or hibachi restaurants. They are take-out or delivery only.“

“Probably our favorite Manayunk area Chinese & Japanese for take out or dine in. Good appetizer and sushi selection, as well as a wide selection of specialty dishes. Favorites include the flounder with honey walnut and shrimp shumai, As someone with food allergies also enjoy just getting the egg fried rice as a nice simple side or next-day leftover.

Parking: For us it’s convenient to walk. The most convenient parking places are paid, but you can go up into the neighborhood and find street parking if you’re lucky.“
