My friend and I were antiquing and gps said this cafe was 10 minutes away, so we went, but truly it was right in the mix of all the shops we were planning to go to anyway. Their menu is extensive, their chicken salad was great, and their apple raisin coleslaw was the best I’ve ever had. Will probably spend some time trying to figure out how to recreate that. CCC is more than just a coffee shop—it’s a place with the warmth of a hearth, and the heart to match. Their Haitian espresso is rich and flavorful, the food’s solid, and the baristas are friendly. The space is large, and they fill it with good energy. But what really sets this place apart is the people. When I was going through a rough patch, I spent countless hours tucked away in a corner writing. Not once did anyone bat an eye at whether I ordered one coffee or ten, whether I took my meals there or not. I always got the same welcoming smile, and authentically good energy from the staff and owners alike. Owned by two genuinely kind humans, Rachel and Scott Elliott, this shop has quietly become a place of refuge and community for folks around East Cocalico—and I’ll always be grateful for what it gave me when I needed it most.
