“Very tasty food. Definitely a bit different (in a good way) in comparison to other regional Chinese restaurants. They bring an authentic recipe to their food, and you need to give it a try. Convenient off street parking to run in for your take-out, and the food is always fresh and made timely without long waits. Extensive menu selection, so it won't be hard to find something you'll like. I give them five stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“

“I ordered the Szechuan chicken lunch meal, which came with pork fried nice and an egg roll. It was ready very quickly (10 minutes), was piping hot, and delivered the heat without being overpowering. The pork fried rice also had nice chunks of pork and roughly chopped onion. Although the prices are slightly higher than the menu posted on Facebook, it’s still a good deal for lunch and I’ll be back since I work in the area. I just wish I got a fortune cookie with my meal though! LOL 🥠“

“Golden Star is an absolute gem! I stopped by on a whim, and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, the aroma of freshly cooked food had me excited. I ordered the teriyaki beef sticks and sweet and sour pork, and wow—each bite was better than the last! The beef was tender and perfectly seasoned, while the pork was crispy and paired wonderfully with the tangy sauce.

The staff here are fantastic—super friendly and attentive. Even though the restaurant was busy, they managed to keep everything running smoothly, and my food was ready in no time. The vibe is casual and laid-back, making it a great spot for a quick meal or a relaxed dinner.

“Some of the best Chinese food around, great price on lunch specials which is usually what I order. I order online through ChineseMenu (yep that's really the website), it's always ready within the 10 to 15 minutes it takes me to arrive, and the food is still perfectly steaming hot when I get back, whatever ancient Chinese proverb they use works. Just the right amount of salty and greasy for me personally, a sinful meal surely but it's far from bland and not "sick after 3 bites" overpowering either. Egg drop soup, pork fried rice, and a beef dish would be my recommendations. Bro at the register is really nice but always busy working so I don't make small talk. A lot of reviews mention delivery issues or the American style food there, I can't speak on either as I haven't tried. But the Chinese takeout is ? ? ?“

“Tried their food for the first time and honestly I don't know what these reviews are on about. Perfect beef and broccoli on top of their chicken on a stick being so juicy and amazing. The homemade ice tea just topped it off perfectly and now I'm in store to get more. I HIGHLY recommend them. Will update if things go sour but tbh, I doubt it.“

“I love beef & broccoli its my go to. But from here the beef is always chewy so i switched to Chicken & Broccoli and its 10x better. Same broth as the beef version which is definetly a plus and their chicken is just a class above their beef. The egg rolls are hit n miss, depends on how recent they changed the oil“

“Great food. The vegetables were great. One of the things about stir fried food, is that the veggies often get soft. These vegetables were nice and crisp, not overcooked at all. And the shrimp was very tasty too. The egg rolls were so good, we tried the pork but they have more than one type. The egg drop was so delicious. It has a hint of sesame in it. I had never had any quite like it. Word of warning, the soup and egg rolls are served very hot! I believe it's because they seem to be mostly for to go orders. We ate in and definitely had to wait to eat it.“

Last night, we took both kids here for dinner. I haven't dined in at Komaqi since the pandemic, and let me tell you-- we had the nicest waiter I think I've ever had. “One of the best Chinese restaurants in town for take out or delivery. Very generous portions, free soda if you spend a certain amount of money and it is always packaged well and tastes delicious. We have ordered the spare ribs, lo mein, and beef or chicken with broccoli the most. Always a great choice!“

“Great vegetables. They don't over cook them so they still have texture. The sauces are really good, especially the brown sauce.

One complaint, this is a restaurant and the ladies room is never open. It's always out of order. I drive from Wilkes Barre (not a long drive but a drive) to enjoy their food and then after our meal, I have to go somewhere else to use the restroom. What's with that? Are they too lazy to clean it, too poor to get it fixed. I always thought restaurants with seating were required to offer restrooms to their customers?“

“The food is good. The service is really fast even if there are other customers and you order in the store. It is only about a ten minute wait for an order, and obviously faster if you pre-order by phone. It has free parking and inside tables for eating, but I think most people order to go. The prices aren't bad either for the good food and portion size.“

Parking: In a busy area but parking is right on the side. Also, Hazel Mart gas and convenient store is right across the street!

Kid-friendliness: Small waiting area, no tables or anything, but very fast hard workers. Bubble gum machines, and super ball, toy.25/.$.50 machines, they look out the big windows sitting on a bench.

Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to get a chair in there's a small bump, but very small.“
