“Our waitress was the sweetest and they have some really unique menu items. I’d say their sweet choices are better than the savory but we enjoyed everything we had. Cornbread French toast was particularly sublime! The French press Kona coffee was a great start to the day. My one small complaint was the cleanliness of the dishes. My coffee mug had a visible red lipstick stain, my water glass had food particles on it and one of my plates was dirty. Just a small critique there. The space is nice open and not stuffy. And I noticed a good amount of foot traffic overall!“

It’s almost like they haven’t gotten the memo that everything is really expensive all of a sudden. Delightful Korean ladies taking orders and delivering food to the tables. “I read all the positive reviews and had to check it out for myself. I have always found it difficult to find something as simple as a good breakfast place. But this time i found it! The second I walked in, I was impressed. The hostess greeted me immediately and with a smile. I asked if I should order now and she smiled and explained that she'd take my order and she'll bring it to me. It was very pleasant. The store itself is clean and bright. I ordered two eggs medium, sausage patties,home fries with peppers and onions, rye toast with a little butter and a medium coffee. Everything was made exactly as I ordered it. The portions were generous and the coffee was great. Thirteen bucks for all that. Perfect. I'll be back.“

“Both servers working the counter were pleasant but the woman running the cash register was dismissive (to me) and rude to the servers, customers, and Dashers. She seemed to be the manager. Everyone around her seemed to be prioritizing the customers except her. Then she changed my bill after the server gave me my payslip resulting the server receiving less tip from my check. She’s going to lose staff and customers if she doesn’t learn to be more pleasant. But overall a nice diner like atmosphere and food was good. I ordered a waffle with bananas and walnuts. Coffee was decent too.“

Today we were served by Lauren, and the service was excellent. She's super attentive, helpful, and always has a smile, ready to help her customers. Had to get a Philly n fries which was pretty good. They serve breakfast as well. The servings are decent size and they make sure you get all your condiments.“

I used to go here more regularly but since I've adhered to my culture/religion more, I avoided places that served pork. Today under certain circumstances I ordered from them but I really wished they at least had some halal breakfast meats. Considering the demographic changes in the neighborhood, a no pork policy would definitely benefit their business. The local mosque would also promote it to their 5k+ local adherents. “It's definitely a sketchy part of the city but their food is really good, and they seem like friendly enough people. My fave thing to order here is the chicken and waffles. The chicken is never seasoned but still good somehow,just needs some salt and pepper (+). Their grits are pretty good as well, not lumpy like some other breakfast spots.“

“Hubs and I are on vacation and we literally just Googled breakfast places near us. We try to eat local when we travel and avoid chain restaurants so we chose this one based on the reviews. And it did not disappoint! The food is great and there’s plenty of it! I had the western omelette and home fries and could not finish it. Hubs got two eggs, bacon, sausage and home fries and also could not finish. The service is excellent, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. A must try!!“

“I have been visiting this spot since 2001. Same great food, same family. Miss Mom and Pop being there but i am so glad to see the kids take over and continue serving food. The food is great and the price is good. Freshly grinded coffee, fresh food made to order. I dont care what anyone says but this is my go to breakfast spot in the entire Philly area.“
