“Sorry this is Late…Went to “First Watch” on 8/8/2025…with a friend…Food was Great!!! Service was outstanding!!! Shout out to Skylar our Waitress, she did a great job,very attentive but not a pest! I had been here before and Loved it. It was the first time for my friend…She loved it! This is my Favorite restaurant for Breakfast and will be returning whenever we can…Thank You to Skylar❤️❤️“

“Our waitress was the sweetest and they have some really unique menu items. I’d say their sweet choices are better than the savory but we enjoyed everything we had. Cornbread French toast was particularly sublime! The French press Kona coffee was a great start to the day. My one small complaint was the cleanliness of the dishes. My coffee mug had a visible red lipstick stain, my water glass had food particles on it and one of my plates was dirty. Just a small critique there. The space is nice open and not stuffy. And I noticed a good amount of foot traffic overall!“

I called a day before to confirm our reservation and to my surprise the person who answered the phone didn’t secure my reservation when I called and found this out your staff went out their way to make sure I was accommodated my coworkers and I had a fabulous fabulous time it was Awesome food great as usual music great,service was exceptional as usual and the occasion was perfect. I live in Philadelphia but I go to Cherry Hill. Your hostess African American young lady nice twist in hair and glasses and beige and black sweater was awesome. I had the Homemade Half Pound Burger it was cooked to perfection with a FRESH South Philly Italian style kesier roll. Two of us ate and shared a standard order of hot Crispy steak fries with drinks under $20...

“This was the first restaurant my Grandmother took me to when I came to Philly when I was 8 I am going to be 44 in 2 months. Loyal customer for 36 years. They fed my family for 3 generations. It's not the same owners I started out with but the quality of food never changed and these owners owned it for decades. If you can ignore what's going on outside it's a great stop. The neighborhood changed the restaurant did not.“

“Had breakfast here today while in town for a show at the Met. Rashida greeted us upon entry and was very friendly. We both enjoyed our meals. Food was cooked right and was delicious and generous. I had eggs with home fries, sliced thin and crisped perfectly. I had turkey scrapple and it was cooked crispy , just as i requested. Neither of us could finish our meals but we sure wanted to! “A mom and pop joint with a kind and clearly smart business woman! At first I was like dagggggg pricey but then I see she gives huge portions and is creative with ingredients. She multitasks and we will definitely be back for pancakes! She also cooks the meat separately so another plus. Just get some ice lol great food!“

“I'm not home often enough to really enjoy Good Hatch, but when I do...watch out! Typical breakfast fare that's packed with flavor and always consistent.
I almost always order the hungry man. It's well worth the starting price of $15.50 (as of this review). With that you get 2 eggs, 2 meats, 2 pancakes, and homefries.
For today, I upgraded to the french toast for $1more.
Everything is seasoned and cooked well. The scrambled eggs today were cooked a little hard but they were still good. The food was ready when I arrived but there was a little confusion so it took a few minutes, and even with my walk home, the food was still hot (maybe 10 minutes after being ready).
The bacon and sausage were cooked to perfection. and the french toast? OMG. The challah bread is perfect choice and whatever was done to give the outside that nice little caramelization was incredible.
I mean....this was breakfast and lunch, and I still dont want dinner.“

“I love this place. I teach at Temple, so when I'm in the area I stop in. They're closed on Mondays, so be mindful. The food is always consistent, good, hot, fresh and I usually call ahead because they're often times busy. But, the food is on point!!!“

“It's definitely a sketchy part of the city but their food is really good, and they seem like friendly enough people. My fave thing to order here is the chicken and waffles. The chicken is never seasoned but still good somehow,just needs some salt and pepper (+). Their grits are pretty good as well, not lumpy like some other breakfast spots.“
