“We found this super cute restaurant while visiting Philly. I absolutely loved the ambiance. Small but cute atmosphere. Food was AMAZING! fresh ingredients, coffee was awesome, the crust on the breakfast potatoes was chefs kiss! and the jam for the biscuits and multi grain bread is to die for!! “This spot is the definition of elevated diner food and feels like a true neighborhood staple. The atmosphere is bright and clean, and it's great to see a local hangout where the staff actually knows the regulars by name. We loved the Tri-Fecta. The waffle had a perfect crunch on the edges and the pancakes were incredibly fluffy without being doughy. Also, don't sleep on the full-bodied coffee or the Morning Meditation Juice for a serious energy boost. Just be sure to get in early since it fills up fast!“

“Our waitress was the sweetest and they have some really unique menu items. I’d say their sweet choices are better than the savory but we enjoyed everything we had. Cornbread French toast was particularly sublime! The French press Kona coffee was a great start to the day. My one small complaint was the cleanliness of the dishes. My coffee mug had a visible red lipstick stain, my water glass had food particles on it and one of my plates was dirty. Just a small critique there. The space is nice open and not stuffy. And I noticed a good amount of foot traffic overall!“

“This was the first restaurant my Grandmother took me to when I came to Philly when I was 8 I am going to be 44 in 2 months. Loyal customer for 36 years. They fed my family for 3 generations. It's not the same owners I started out with but the quality of food never changed and these owners owned it for decades. If you can ignore what's going on outside it's a great stop. The neighborhood changed the restaurant did not.“

“Bread & Butter Philly is my wife’s and my absolute favorite breakfast spot! We order from here every weekend, especially on Sundays, and the food and customer service never disappoint. The staff is always so friendly, and it’s always nice to see Jenny and the team each week. The food is consistently delicious, and it’s always hard to choose between the breakfast platter and breakfast burritos because everything is always on point! “Had breakfast here today while in town for a show at the Met. Rashida greeted us upon entry and was very friendly. We both enjoyed our meals. Food was cooked right and was delicious and generous. I had eggs with home fries, sliced thin and crisped perfectly. I had turkey scrapple and it was cooked crispy , just as i requested. Neither of us could finish our meals but we sure wanted to! Great place to stop for a neighborhood breakfast if in town for a show at the Met!!“

“I love getting breakfast from this local eatery when I don’t feel like cooking. They are so welcoming and the food is always so good. I love the chicken and waffles, a Homefries platter, and their Shrimp and Grits is so good and get extra shrimp if you think the 6 isn’t enough. Sometimes I’m ok with the 6 and sometimes I want a little more. My son loves the breakfast sandwiches and especially on a croissant.“

“Karla catered a baby shower for us and the food was absolutely delicious and was presented beautifully!! Everyone kept saying how much they loved it! Karla is wonderful to work with. “Hidden gem walking distance from the NE Navy Yard. This is a takeout-only hole-in-the-wall and it's perfect for what it is. The breakfast sandwiches were simple and delicious, the pancakes were perfection, the man running the one-man show was helpful, polite and quick making the food. I will go every chance I get. Cash only, but there's an ATM on site. Total for 2 sammy's and 2 pancakes was $18.“

“A busy, mostly carry out service with good food and friendly service. There's about four tables you can sit and eat at after ordering at the counter. Had Bacon, eggs, and grits, one of my diner go-to breakfasts, and it was served quickly with nice fresh ingredients. The eggs were perfectly cooked over medium and they gave plenty of bacon“

“I read all the positive reviews and had to check it out for myself. I have always found it difficult to find something as simple as a good breakfast place. But this time i found it! The second I walked in, I was impressed. The hostess greeted me immediately and with a smile. I asked if I should order now and she smiled and explained that she'd take my order and she'll bring it to me. It was very pleasant. The store itself is clean and bright. I ordered two eggs medium, sausage patties,home fries with peppers and onions, rye toast with a little butter and a medium coffee. Everything was made exactly as I ordered it. The portions were generous and the coffee was great. Thirteen bucks for all that. Perfect. I'll be back.“

“From the time I decided To walk in and get a pastry and something hot to drink, I was in love with it. It’s my favorite place to go to after work with friends. It’s a nice place to unwind and pull out your laptop and work as well. Love the Hot dog donut!!!! And the brownies.“
