“If you’re looking for that “Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name, and they’re always glad you came” place, this is THAT place. Perfect balance of drawing in new crowds with their games & events, and taking care of regulars with their favorite beer in a glass before they even sit down. Every time you walk in you feel like a celebrity because the entire crowd is happy to see you. Feels good man.“

“I rarely post reviews but grabbed some takeout on a whim and everything was the best bbq I've had in the area. If you like bark, they do it right! Pork, brisket, and even sausage were fantastic. Corn bread, slaw and beans for the win too. The only negative was 3 tiny chicken tenders in the order for my child but was ok as she now realizes she likes bbq. We will definitely be back to this local gem!“

Stick City Brewing Company Brewery • $$
109 Irvine St, Mars - 5.81 miles

“My wife and I like to visit breweries, distilleries, wineries etc; I've been working on a goal of visiting every micro brewery in the Pittsburgh region. They have 104 to visit, which some have closed since. Today this marks 101st and only 1 or 2 remaining to say I visited them all soon. My recent visit to Stick City Brewery in Mars, PA, left me thoroughly impressed and convinced that this brewery is a standout gem in the local beer scene. From the diverse beer selection to the welcoming ambiance, Stick City Brewery delivers an experience that keeps patrons coming back for more. This may be my all-time favorite visit that has the best setup compared to all of the other places from a theme standpoint. Upon entering Stick City, you're greeted by a vibrant and friendly atmosphere that sets the stage for a memorable visit. The industrial-chic decor and comfortable seating create a relaxed environment, making it the perfect spot to unwind with friends or family. Now, let's talk beer - and Stick City Brewery knows how to brew some exceptional ones. The beer menu is a testament to the brewers' creativity and commitment to quality. From hop-forward IPAs to rich stouts and everything in between, there's a brew for every palate. The rotating taps keep things exciting, encouraging patrons to explore new flavors and find their new favorites. The Pale Ales was my favorite and took a 4 pack home, along with a t-shirt. The outdoor seating area is another highlight, offering a charming space to enjoy your favorite brews al fresco. In the winter or cold months they have a fire going at all times. For those who do not want to sit inside. This is a cool brewery out in the middle of nowhere, about 40 mins north of the city. I recommend stopping here.“

Cinderlands Taproom - Wexford Brewery • $$
171 Wexford Bayne Rd Ste 101, Wexford - 9.92 miles

“Service was good. Had to order at the bar but the bar tender was attentive and informative. Ambiance was great with just a few scattered benches indoors and plenty of sitting outside near the gas fire pit. Good place to spend a cool evening listening to good tunes and sipping on local pours. Also liked that they had a "hard tea" option for those who prefer something other than beer.“

Recon Brewing Brewery • $
1747 N Main St Ext #1327, Butler - 11.99 miles

“Great beer selection. Limited but good food selections, flatbreads, hot/cold variety of sandwiches, salads and some apps. Restrooms were clean and consist of a men’s room with one urinal and one stall, no changing pad and a women’s room that has two stalls, complementary women’s necessities, and a changing pad. No one ever adds info on restrooms so I’ve decided to start.“

“My wife and I try to eat here once per week. She works nearby and it's always a great spot to stop in. I'm envious of the people who live in the community! The food is really good. I LOVE their flatbreads. But the wraps are good too! They have some great go-to beers always on tap. I like their amber lager. The service? Always always good. Never an issue. There's indoor and outdoor seating options. On weekends they have live music. It's really a great place! I highly recommend!“
