“Sending out a big thank you to Wilson’s pub. It was my sisters 60th birthday party we were supposed to celebrate at another bar who promised to reserve tables to accommodate her family and friends 30 of us . When we arrived, they told us that they could not reserve all of the tables that they said earlier they would.. no apology no nothing. Needless to say we left that bar flooded Wilson’s with approximately 25 people. They gave us the whole side room. Drinks were great. We ordered food and I believe the cook brought it right out to us his self.. great bartenders great food ….they could not have been nicer or more accommodating would definitely recommend Wilson’s to anyone“

“This past weekend, after my son’s first penance, a group of us wanted to go grab lunch. After an unfortunate experience somewhere else we called Dooney’s to see if they could accommodate a party of 17 last minute, and they said of course. Half of our party was kids 7 and under. “It's a friendly neighbo4hood bar that has a few gaming machines for us degenerate gamblers. Located nearby Frankford hospital in case you hit a big jackpot and go into cardiac arrest. It is a friendly group of people that appear to frequent this Tavern so go ahead on down and enjoy yourself.“

“I stopped in here during Happy Hour one Friday afternoon and had a very enjoyable time. I met some friendly people and engaged in some good conversations with the regular customers. Mostly concerning sports and alcohol beverages. All three bartenders were excellent servers and quickly replenished our drinks. Can't wait until they start serving food as they just reopened under new management. It's a small place with just a straight bar but it was a friendly atmosphere.“

To make it worse, one of the twelve was a total runt — tiny, scrawny, barely any meat. So it was more like 11 wings.

The rest were a decent size — plenty of meat, which is really their saving grace. But they weren’t cooked evenly. A few were overdone and dry, while others were fine. The sauce could’ve definitely used another toss, too. They came out a little dry and the flavor was just… basic. Greasy, too. Honestly, if they used a copycat of S&H’s wing sauce, then the price would make sense.

Got my boys a small personal pizza — pretty much what you’d expect for a bar-style pie. Nothing bad, nothing standout.

The real MVP? The hand-cut fries!!!

“Me and my girlfriend went there for a Galentine‘s Bestie brunch and had such a wonderful experience. It was the first time either one of us had ever been there and we had a wonderful server named Rich who was friendly and warm and took great care of us making sure we had our bottomless mimosas throughout the entire meal. The food was fantastic. We got the breakfast quesadilla the cheddar grits and French toast and each thing was better than the next. We will definitely be back.“

“I stopped here one Saturday on my way home from center city and had a very good evening. I opened the door and was greeted by a friend who performs at so many local drinking establishments in Northeast Philly. As it was a spontaneous decision to go here I was very surprised to see him. Located on Rhawn Street off of Frankford Avenue in Mayfair/Holmesburg. It has an latge open area for music and dancing with long straight bar. I didn't have the food so I can't rate it. Our barmaid/server Laurie was friendly, witty and an excellent host. I met several friendly and engaging people here and will surely stop back.“

“Daly’s has 3 Diamond 7’ pool tables in the bar area, which is a huge plus. My team played in an APA tournament there last weekend and the tables play great. The service was excellent. The prices are right. The food is bar food. I’d go back and hang out in a Friday night for pool and beer. Also, pretty solid beer selection.“

“I had dinner with my wife on Friday night. We live 2 blocks away. Normally we stop in to a have few drinks and get some apps, which are always good. Last night I tried some of the dinner choices. I couldn’t decide so I got the Seafood Gumbo which was outstanding. Then I got the Southern Fried CatFish with the mustard sauce, which was amazing. They were both big portions, (I didn’t finish either, although I tried, haha). My wife had buffalo cauliflower and dry Cajun wings which were both really good. The food is a hidden gem that we have in Palmyra, the prices are good and the service is always great. We had the young guy with hat and he was awesome. The bartenders even jump out to make sure the tables are ok. The acoustic guy playing was just right also. I know the owners have worked hard to keep 5 West going the last few years. Keep up the Great work!!“

“Had lunch with friends and we all had a great meal. My steakhouse burger was great. They hand form them so they are thick and juicy and it was cooked the way I asked. One of my companions had the jerk chicken with cauliflower rice and asparagus. Wow! I'm ordering that the next time I go, which will be soon.“

“Went to Sandy’s Beef and Ale tonight and loved it. My husband had a Jameson and ginger, I had two double vodka tonics — drinks were great. We shared the tots with American cheese sauce (so good).

The service was awesome, super friendly and attentive. We were watching them carve the beef behind the bar and it looked so good we ordered sandwiches to go. Best decision — the beef was insanely tender and delicious.

Bartenders need to learn how to work the remote for the music , It is Bose system that you can adjust for each end of the bar and the right channel is off along with the bass . lol I always listen to music when I am there .“

“This the definition of a dive bar. I went there after my 21st birthday and the beer was very cheap two dollars for a Coors light on tap. The bartender woman was super friendly and very helpful. The only thing I don't like is that they allow smoking inside which is great if your a smoker or don't mind the smell and smoke of tobacco in the air. I can't stand having someone two seats away from me smoking his cigarette or cigars or whatever type of tobacco they are smoking and having to breathe in all that tobacco smoke that is in the air while drinking my beer is very unpleasant for me. I honestly like drinking my beers at home. I definitely do have a crush on the bartender. I honestly might just go back to enjoy a cheap beer and talk with the bartender again.“

“Went here on at Saturday morning. They were open at 9:30 which was great. Some regulars already there. They had sports on all the tvs. The service was quick and friendly. The drinks were cheap and well made. If your in the northeast check them out.“

It was a classic Irish bar and we were warmly greeted by the hostess Carolyn, who was very friendly and made us feel right at home.
