“It's been a long time since I've visited, but friends were in town & this was always our gathering spot. We loved the wings, especially the bone-in garlic parm & the 45 St Pub fries, so we ordered several flavors of bone-in wings, pepperoni & cheesestake rolls. We were a little disappointed in the garlic parm wings but the fries did not disappoint. The drinks & our server were great. Maybe because it was a Wednesday night, the bar didn't feel as festive as it once did, but still a good time was had by all.Wheelchair accessibility: No step entry“

“I got a chicken cheese steak Stromboli (at my brother's recommendation) with fried onions & green peppers. It was so good! The only thing I would probably change is add some cheese where the dough is to close it up. That part is a little too doughy for me, but other than that, it's worth stopping & grabbing one. I will, whether they make the change or not. ?“

“We have been going to the Pub for over 55 years. My parents started back in the early 60s' and my first trip was when I was 12. Now I'm 69 and the food is just as great as I remembered. The choices in the salad bar usually fill me, and when my meal arrived, I usually have to request take out boxes. The service is excellent. Plus we love the Hula cake. Hope The Pub is around for my future generations.“

“McMenimin's is a terrific, very popular neighborhood bar/restaurant. It can be noisy, but if you sit in the back room, the noise is not too bad. We were there on a weeknight (Tuesday), and yet every table was filled by 7 o'clock. The food is better than one would expect for this kind of place. The fish and chips, chef's salad with portobello mushrooms and plant-based "cheeseburger" were all excellent. And portions were huge. The server was very pleasant. The reasons why this is 4 stars and not 5: No cocktail list at all and just a few not-so-great wines by the glass. And the entrees were served way before we were finished with the appetizers. They must have thought we had to catch a train. If you don't mind being rushed like crazy, then you might give McMenamin's 5 stars.“

“I was in Philly with my boss and a colleague for an industry event. They were asking for a place to go for a bite and a beer. I asked my daughter who is local for some recommendations and she recommended Good Dog Bar. There are many great restaurants in the center city area, but this one does a great job. At 6:30 on a Monday, the place was quite busy. We were able to get a booth. I didn't see any tables for large groups downstairs. Most of the bar area and tables were full when we started ordering. The beer selection is diverse and prices are reasonable. For my main dish, I had to try to vegan Philly Cheesesteak. You might say that this is quite blasphemous being in Philly and doing vegan. I'm not sure how they did it, but it was very tasty. They also have some awesome fries with it. As far as parking, find a lot or garage or it's better to use mass trans or bike.“

“I’m really on the fence with this review. The service and ambience were great. It’s a trendy little neighborhood bar with good music and good people. Three draft beers with common names and off we were to our table. The beer is brewed offsite but it’s Meeting’s beer: love that. However, the food left much to be desired. The bread and butter were good, fries were done right but the clams and Turkey BLT…meh. The clams were so chewy…I mean like, super chewy and I could not cut into it with my teeth. I had one: full stop. Now ordering a Turkey BLT, one should not expect the moon but since there’s about 7 - 8 things on the menu I would hope that each dish is done to near-perfection. It was not. It was essentially basic. Did I eat everything save for the clams? Yes. Would I go back? For sure. The service, people and beer are worth another pass. And I’ll definitely try another dish but I won’t go hungry. Live music would definitely draw me back in!“

“We had a private event here which included the upstairs space along with beer and wine. The bartender and staff were wonderful and we had a great time! We had about 30 people and the space was a bit tight. I wouldn't book it if the event calls for any full group activities (like games) since it can be hard to hear (open space/ceilings). It's perfect for happy hour or casual/social events like birthdays. Also keep in mind there's a good amount of stairs and no elevator. The tables are high tops along with 2 booth areas. Everyone was happy with the drinks and I requested a mocktail which was delicious. Downstairs is spacious and it seems like a cool spot for shows. There was a cover band setting up as we were heading out.“

“On my first ever visit to Philidelphia, I chose to try this place (the nachos looked good on the online menu). When I walked in, the place had an intriguing atmosphere. It was self seating - I didn't see the menus on the table, and the server noticed, so, he grabbed me one and brought over a water, before I even requested anything! I ordered the Nachos with the spicy (not hot, just flavored with spices) chicken - it was So good and the bowl was suitable for 2 or more to enjoy. The plating was intriguing! It was Delicious! While I was eating, the server made me feel welcome, joking that I wasn't the Only one who didn't notice the menus (another party that came in missed them, too!). I returned afew days later with my husband, had to show him some of the city and have him try the nachos - we both Inhaled them! Despite a Large party being there, the server came right over with waters, got our order and had it brought out quickly. We were impressed with the service, despite the large party. Despite the Sixers game being on the bartenders keep the drinks flowing. My glass never sat empty for long. When it comes to food, I'm a sucker for anything with truffles, so I love the truffle popcorn. The cheesesteak eggrolls are also a great rendition of that dish. Crispy outside and plenty of meat and cheese inside. The chicken sandwich on a pretzel bun is also good. The chicken needs to be a bit juicier to take it over the top. The gumbo is also a good dish that will keep you warm in the winter and remind you of New Orleans. Unfortunately, the mac & cheese is terrible. As long as you avoid that dish you will have a good time at Ten Stone. If you come during a Sixers game you never know when you might see me at the bar.“

“I actually do not usually do restaurant reviews, but was so please with Con Murphy that I felt like I had to share. I feel like there are many restaurants in Philly, and this one deserves more attention. We were day-tripping Philly and enjoy seeking out the local Irish pubs. We were charmed by the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere! It was noisy and small, in a fun and happy way. The TWO bars were well-stocked. We came with the family and everyone was pleased. We started with the Parmesan Truffle French Fries and they were exemplary especially paired with the Aeoli. The blackened Grouper sandwich was "sublime" according to my son who works at a restaurant! My daughter didn't prefer the crust thinness of the flatbread, but enjoyed the potatoe soup. The Irish fare was well done. My son ordered the shepard's pie and my husband and I both ordered the beef stew. I am picky of "Irish Food" bc so many places do not give it the attention it deserves, but everything was prepared beautifully. If you like very rich, decadent broths and hearty, meaty portions, then the stew is for you. The bread it was served with was unbelievably flavorful and had a tender center and crusty exterior. The stew tasted like it had slow-cooked for hours and did not dissapoint. I ordered the "Tullamore Gold" cocktail and it was a tad sweet, but flavorful. I wish I had paired a red wine or whisky with the stew. My husband had a canned apple cider which was tasty.“

Seven Tap Chicken Sandwich

“My son and I stopped in to watch at least the first half of the Eagles game because the snowstorm was coming and didn’t want to stay out too late. He had the chicken tenders and I had the garlic Parmesan buffalo wings. The service was great. the food was outstanding, and there were plenty of TVs to catch the game. Unfortunately, the Eagles were not so good. I definitely recommend this place if you like bar food and burgers. That’s the only thing I’ve had so far. Still waiting to meet Jaws“

“Stopped in for a quick bite. Quick seating, great service from the bar staff at the high tops. Loved the French onion soup. Just what I needed to take the off the cold of the night. Solid pours, good music. What you'd expect from the name, honestly. Place starting filling with a younger bar crowd about 9:30.“
