“We are working our way through Manyunk restaurants and Bar Jawn had some excellent reviews. It was much smaller than I expected but the Bourdain signs and country music told me we were in the right place. Cooper Sharp fried cheese squares with fresh sauce were outrageously good. Cheesesteak with Cooper sharp and cherry peppers did Philly proud. Loved the seeded roll too. Definitely will be back. Service was friendly and attentive. A really great Sunday afternoon.“

“Food is great. Good spot for a quick dinner at the bar or taking your time with friends at a table. Haven’t had any cocktails here but the beer selection is solid and the bartenders are friendly and know what they’re doing. Amazing neighborhood spot that I’m glad to see back open after COVID. I only wish I could make it more often!“

“This is straight up one of the coolest vibes in black Philadelphia. You get such a diverse crowd of people across the diaspora and the food is amazing. Karaoke night brings out some REAL singers but even if you aren’t good, the crowd is still so supportive and fun. I really love this place.“

“In town for work at Logan Township, New Jersey from Indianapolis. Was recommended this place based off the food and atmosphere. The food was delicious and atmosphere did not disappoint. All the workers were super friendly and made it overall a great experience. Can’t wait to come back the next time I’m in New Jersey for work.“

“Honestly surprised more people aren't talking about Tataki Ramen! It’s a quiet, humble spot, but the flavor speaks volumes. Easily my favorite ramen in Philly right now.
The chicken broth is amazingly rich and full-bodied—pure flavor, no doctoring up required. Pair that with their incredible gyoza and you've got a top-tier meal. If you love authentic, soul-warming ramen, put this spot on your list immediately“

“The first time I went there was on the blind date and I did not have a good time. So this time I took my daughter to create a better memory for myself and Local 44 is definitely a vibe.
Laid back in very very nice attempted bartenders and waiters. The kid and I are definitely going back and yes she's 26“

“This was my second visit to Ripplewood Whiskey & Craft, and my first time experiencing their happy hour—and it did not disappoint. The menu had a great variety, and I enjoyed both the drinks and the pork bao buns.
A standout “happy accident” was ordering the pretzel rolls with truffle butter… absolutely amazing. That alone is worth coming back for.
The bartenders were attentive and provided great service throughout our visit. We also tried the deviled eggs, which were just okay for me—the mustard base was a bit too strong for my taste.
Overall, Ripplewood is a lovely spot with a relaxed vibe and nice outdoor seating in the back. It’s a great place for drinks, small bites, and a chill evening out.“

“Awesome Neighborhood Bar, great for ages 30 -60. Women of those ages, could use more Single women. Men consist of hard working people, Blue Collar men. But if good looking women are there the men will arrive. Just a bar you can be comfortable at. Just my opinion.“

“John Morton' Tavern located on Lincoln Ave & 4th Street has great staff members/bar tenders that are very attentive towards their customers. One bar tender can handle the customers sitting at the bar. The food that came out of the kitchen was nice and hot while being prepared in a reasonable amount of time. Keep up the good work 👍-Good Luck in 2026 & Beyond. This is a good bar in the area but maybe could be smaller than some other local bars. It's not a bad thing but could get packed quickly. Business Parking lot wraps around behind the building and additional parking on 4th Ave“
“Great place. Really nice staff. Lots of space. All the best beer. Best spot in Springfield (Delco) to grab a drink with friends.“

“Delicious as always. I went yesterday, with a friend and I got to say, your prices have gone through the roof! I mean doubled by $8-$10 per meal. We also got there at 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon, the dead of August, we wanted a hightop table. We were told that they were reserved and That people would be coming in within the next 45 minutes, and they didn’t wanna have to switch us again. By the time we left at 7:30 there were still 2 high tops available/empty. I’ll still be back because it’s a Broadway but those two things definitely bothered us“

“I LOVE this place. Ive lived in West for the past 2 years and they have been my go to. Food and drinks are affordable and delicious. You will get full, maybe leave with extras and definitely feel your ears getting a bit hot lol. Its a family run spot, supper genuine and personable. But on that same note you need to be ready to potentially have a wait. They often only have 1/2 people behind the bar, 1 food runner and a few heads in the kitchen, so just be kind they are trying. Also the beer garden in the back is the cherry on top, such a gem…ive brought maybe 3 different friend groups here and they all ADORE it.“

“The honey soy garlic Korean fried Chicken was some of the best I have ever had, if not the best. The Banchan was very good. The Pickled Chayote and Radish (Mu) were the stars for me. The Kimchi was good, but a little too spicy for me (I should've put in on the grill and cooked it a bit). The corn-cheese sausage as amazing. The Brisket was amazing. Pork belly was very good too, but I wish they had some Shiso or Red Leaf, so I could make a ssam. The ssamjang was very doenjang forward. Not sure if they have more than one type, but I prefer mine with more gochujang. Overall, Pocha Street is a must try.“

“Great neighborhood bar with pool tables, outdoor benches, lots of bar seats and tables. The bartenders are friendly even when it’s slammed on Saturdays or during games. I go weekly to hang with friends, watch the games, catch up with the neighborhood, and enjoy the friendly atmosphere. Wide range of people at the bar, it’s very welcoming. Highly recommend this gem!
$1.50 to play pool - put a quarter down on the table to play. Some people are more competitive but overall everyone is there to have fun!
Sometimes they have live music with local artists but just follow them on socials for postings, Wednesdays they have trivia, and they have weekly food deals.
Also I really like their fries.“
“We love Carbon!! West Philly is so lucky to have them. Their beers are excellent (the Gully is my go-to), the staff is awesome, and the food is delish! The pizza of the week always keeps us on our toes in the best way. Highly recommend!“

“A home away from home for Commanders fans living in Philadelphia. Old Bay is featured heavily on the menu, as it should be. They easily accommodated our walk in party of 14 and put up with us playing "Hail To The Redskins" on the jukebox repeatedly.
*To the couple Commanders fans who left negative reviews, that's not cool and you're missing the joke.*“

“Just a small local bar where the folks are friendly and bartenders are awesome. Shuffle board and pool tables with a great playlist on the jukebox! If you're not looking to dress up but just want to go grab a drink and relax, this is the place. The signs all over will have you in stitches . The restrooms are clean and beer is always cold!! I could hang here all day.“

“I made reservations for Harry Potter High Tea in April. They promoted it until mid summer. Had reservation for today June 21st for special Birthday. Ridley House took down all Harry Potter stuff, the restaurant was empty. We were seated in baron area with only one other table. The table tops were really beat up as was a lot of fixtures. High Tea was promoted with 3 tiers of food but what my SIL got was so sparse and a joke for $35. Over priced, underwhelming decor and just horrible! We will not be back! Stingers here we come!!“
“George’s Bar in Claymont is another great no-frills dive bar done right. Cash only, cheap beer and liquor, and fast, friendly service at the bar. Exactly what you want from a true local spot.
The vibe is very close-knit with a lot of regulars, and everyone is welcoming the moment you walk in. It feels like a place where people actually know each other and are happy to have you join in.
If you’re looking for an authentic neighborhood bar with good prices, solid pours, and a laid-back atmosphere, George’s is a great choice.“
