“Interesting enough I rarely give excellent ratings however, this spot was amazing. Great food, patient while taking my order and the employees were just moving it along with all their customers. All the employees that I interacted with were pleasant.“

“First off, it's important to note that Steel Penny does not allow customization of menu items. They're very rigid about substitutions or adjustments, which feels a bit off-putting and inflexible, especially for those who like to tweak their orders. That said, the Firenze sandwich was phenomenal. It comes with Burrata Cheese, Basil Pesto (nut-free), Arugula, Tomato, Balsamic Glaze, Sicilian EVOO, Salt, and Black Pepper, and you can choose between a chicken cutlet or Prosciutto di Parma. I went with the chicken cutlet, and it was an excellent choice. The rustic Italian bread roll was the perfect base, crusty yet soft enough to hold everything together. Every bite was flavorful, fresh, and well balanced. I also tried the Rose Gold Detroit-Style Pizza, which was very good. The crust was thick but still light, and the vodka sauce was delicious. I added pepperoni, which definitely elevated the flavor. The only real downside was the size, it's only six small slices, and for $20, that feels overpriced. Lastly, I ordered the Pumpkin Spice Latte. I asked for it extra hot, but it came out just warm. The flavor was fine, but I would have enjoyed it much more if it had been served steaming hot as requested. Overall, 4 out of 5 stars. I'd definitely go back for the chicken cutlet sandwiches as they're worth the trip. I'd hesitate to get another pizza at that price point, and I'd skip the latte next time.“

“Is the price worth the taste? $17 cheesesteak with fried onions and American cheese (not standard cooper sharp) as I’m old school, all on a seeded roll. Pound for pound, you are getting some fantastically seasoned steak, and a lot of it!
Listen, people are going to say what their favorite steak shop is, this one is close to my house, but I’d still travel to Dalessandro’s , but this place is pretty much just as, if not better than Dalessandro’s. It’s a pricey sandwich, and I think it comes out to the same amount of 2 Dalessandro’s sandwiches, so there’s that statistical difference.

I ate half, split with my wife, and hulled out the other, then filled a Pyrex 7 cup bowl as seen in the picture, and that’s a lot! I have to say the this place edges out Dalessandro’s because you can sit down and eat at the tables or counter. Dalessandro’s used to have a space to eat inside, but since COVID, have not reopened it which is a shame. I have not had a pizza from this place , but I will.“

“Stopped in for lunch expecting to grab a couple of slices, but learned they don't serve by the slice—so I went with a personal pie instead. The pizza was solid: plenty of cheese, good sauce, and a nice balance overall. Staff was friendly. I’ll consider trying one of their sandwiches next time I stop by, they look good. “I’ve been coming here since 1964 and it’s still just as good! Hands down- best pizza in Philadelphia! The brothers/brothers in law have retired, but one of the sons is carrying the legacy forward. All they sell is pizza and soda, and only beef and beef pepperoni toppings. It’s no frills, but worth the ride I make every so often from Chestnut Hill. I only wished they took credit cards and stayed open later, but I understand. If you’re a pizza snob like me, do yourself a favor and try King of Pizza?“

We ordered Peppino's famous tomato pie, the upside down pizza loaded with fresh toppings, Peppino's awesome Italian hoagie and a juicy Roast Pork sandwich. Every bite was delicious. Two veggies and one bruschetta. The bruschetta was as ordered and very good. We only received one veggie Panini and got some other grilled chicken with lettuce and tomato?? Also the veggie Panini on their menu and online says grilled eggplant, instead it was two large fried pieces of eggplant on each half. “I met Marcello and Kiley the week before and New Hope and they invited us to come and have dinner this weekend. We went on Friday and had the back room basically to ourselves there was 10 of us. The food service was outstanding! Came and spoke with us several times, the chef came out, and said hello, our waitress Heather was absolutely incredible so efficient, and yet so loving! we were spoiled rotten! Everyone took home so much food because the portions were enormous. The prices were totally reasonable. I highly recommend the Sunday sauce unlike any spaghetti dinner I’ve ever had in my life, including my trips to Italy.! Thank you, Heather, Pablo, and especially Marcello!“

“Walked here from the hotel I was staying at for dinner on Monday and it was tasty. Good value for the price. The only qualm was it felt the pizza wasn’t cooked enough to hold up with the toppings on it. Having said that I put too much on but my colleague had a composed pizza from their list and they said the same thing.

“We ordered takeout and tried the butter chicken, mango lassi, and the paneer tikka masala pizza — and everything hit the spot. The butter chicken was rich, creamy, and full of deep, satisfying flavor. The spice level was just right for us, but they thoughtfully asked our preference when taking the order, which we appreciated. The mango lassi was the perfect cooling companion to the spice — smooth, sweet, and refreshing.

The paneer tikka masala pizza was a bit of a wild card, but it totally worked. The flavors came together in a way that was both fun and surprisingly delicious. That said, I’m looking forward to trying the paneer tikka masala on its own next time — it seems like a standout dish in its own right.

“I had a really tough week and tougher day at CHOP (Children's hospital of Philadelphia) and I was exhausted after a surgery day for my daughter and I just wanted some normal food. I arrived at the store 2 minutes before closing and ordered food from one of the kiosks. The person in charge then called my name and said they were out of one of the items since it was at the end of the day. He not only refunded the item but he also gave me a slice instead and continued being nice even though I ordered basically 1 minute before closing. He not only gave me food but he also gave me the strength I needed to head back to the hospital for the night. Also by the way the pizza was amazing!“

“Select is a very nice addition to Warrington. I've visited three tines; twice with my husband who loves the chicken tenders and shrimp and lobster bisque, and with friends. I enjoyed the pancakes and my friends enjoyed the fried chicken and waffles. The food has been consistently flavorful. I ordered the rice bowl with salmon. The portion size was generous, but the salmon was a bit overcooked. The cocktails are varied and absolutely delicious and clearly made with care. The servers have been friendly and attentive. I enjoy the Cage (bar area). It's a fun and cozy atmosphere for adults. I plan to return, soon. I love the place!“

“I’ve been coming to Cosimo’s since 2007, and it’s still my favorite lunch spot in Chestnut Hill. The food is always fresh and delicious. I love the Meat Lovers and Chicken & Broccoli pizzas, the Santa Fe Salad, and those soups? So comforting. Their fries are hands-down the best in town.

It’s a warm, family-owned place with kind folks and a welcoming vibe. I’ve brought friends, co-workers, and my kids here over the years, even my grown kids still rave about the cheesesteak!

Thank you for being my cozy corner in Chestnut Hill since 2007. Your food, kindness, and welcoming vibe have carried me through busy workdays and quiet solo lunches alike. From the soups to the pizza to the best fries in town every bite feels like a warm hug.

“This is a great place! The food was fantastic and the service was great. They are very friendly and accommodating. The place looks great inside. It’s very clean and has great little nooks with booths and tables. There was a big tv in our area so we could watch football while we ate. I also had their west coast IPA and it had a great hoppy west coast flavor. So good, I bought more to take home with me. Five stars. This should be your go to pizza hangout!!!“
