“I grew up on Pudge's cheese steaks and thought as a kid that all cheese steaks were the same, because I only ever had Pudge's. Boy was I wrong. I moved out of Penn Square Village when I was about 20. If you asked me what I miss most, it would be Pudge's. I moved to Pottstown about 25 years ago and looked for a good cheese steak shop. There are a few that are eehh, ok. But none like my childhood Pudge's. It's been 35 years and when I made a FACEBOOK post asking recommendations, a friend said Pudge's. “We came with a group of 12. The decor was very pleasant, classy without being too fussy. The staff was accommodating and wonderful. Delicious food at a reasonable price came out quick. The pulled pork was wonderful and the cocktail with brunch was a nice touch. Great for a medium to large party.“

The guy working the counter and making the food also mentioned that they were getting a new oven so that they could expand the menu and offer more things. “came in around 2 pm january 17th 2024 and the woman working was so sweet. she talked to me for about 25 minutes asking how my day was. every time i come in the staff always greets you and makes you feel very welcomed. I ordered a medium malted chocolate shake and instantly you could taste the malt instead of stores where you don’t know whether they put it in or not. i also noticed the price here is much less than other stores as well.“
“This was my first visit to Freddy’s and I loved it. The atmosphere reminded me of a 50’s/60’s diner. The service was fast and friendly.While the burger and chicken sandwich were delectable, the skinny fries and homemade onion rings stole the show.I wish there was a Freddy’s closer to where I live because I would be there all of the time. “We really enjoy this place. Good food and they take their beer list seriously. They also have acoustic music on Saturdays which is a plus.I was hungry for dinner but my wife only wanted a snack. They were kind enough to give her a half size of chips and guac instead of the full appetizer. I had the blackened chicken sandwich, which was very good on a fresh toasted ciabatta roll. Last time I was there I had the chicken and waffles dinner and I stuffed myself with them cuz I couldn't stop.“

The prices are a little high for the burgers in my opinion, but everything else is great portions for the price. My favorites are the smash burger salad and the turkey and avocado BLT sandwich. Had to use a fork. Hope they can fix that. The tuna tasted good. The soup was even better. The servers were attentive & efficient. My biggest issue was that 4 pieces of turkey bacon cost $6.99. A little steep for that type of side.“

“Not a fast food joint! Kids LOVE this place!! They sell hand made burgers, signature fries, "custard" (just like ice cream), chicken fingers, dogs, etc. The "Freddy sauce" or "fry sauce" is excellent. Think sorta like a mix of ketchup, mustard, mayo, and relish done right. The chicken is ACTUAL CHICKEN, and not a pressed grissle patty like most places nowadays. The burgers are awesome, Double California burger is my go to.Parking: **NOTE** This is one of those locations where if you are heading N on 202, you CANNOT MAKE A LEFT OUT OF THE PARKING LOT. “I entered this Dairy Queen location on September 20th, 2021. I entered a bit after they closed but the worker was super nice, kind, intelligent and understanding. He was aware that the online hours were wrong and apologized for it. He politely explained the situation and said it was completely out of his control in a relaxing manner. Since I am aware that he is just working by himself I was completely understanding that he is just a regular worker and does not have he ability to change the hours online. He made a great blizzard and I was super satisfied with my blizzard. 5 star review for sure, made my night.“
