“I was excited to hear we have a new restaurant offering something different for the area and it lived up to my hopes! Lots of options for dim sum, noodles, and some regional dishes like Chongqing chicken make this different from most of the standard fare American Chinese options nearby.

We had spicy pork bun, gyoza, scallion pancakes, and the chicken cumin noodles. All were good but definitely recommend the buns and cumin noodles in particular!

Our order was ready in under 15 min on a Friday night, so it seems they're getting into the groove. Definitely will come again the next time those cravings hit for dumplings or noodles!“

“Stopped in for take out. Everything was carefully packaged and labeled. We had a special request for my little one, plain lo mein, just sauce and noodles they listened and prepared and labelled it correctly. It was raining that day and they took the time to wrap all of their heavy weight paper bags in plastic for us. They provided ample napkins, soy sauce, and forks without prompting. Again they take care... The food was good, chicken was a high quality. There was a nice mix of veggies in the chicken lo mein. I liked the way the chicken was cut up in the lo mein as well.“

I generally don't like to waste anything but was very little left really no reason to take home. There is a lot of variety and selection to try. “Solid neighborhood take-out spot. What I personally like about South Ocean in Flourtown is the variety of Asian cuisines: Chinese, Japanese, & Thai. You can order sweet and sour chicken, or sushi. My go-to dish is the green curry; either with chicken or with vegetables. Very nice staff, quick pick-up, and fairly priced. 👍🏻“

“This is a very good combination Thai/Chinese restaurant however I think their menu is now abbreviated and they have stopped making the Thai dishes. I have had the Thai food and it was good but usually ordered Chinese dishes which are also very good. They now have very reasonable lunch and dinner specials with choice or rice and eggroll. The people are pleasant and the service is fast. They also deliver. Worth a try at the special prices ti see if you like it.“

“The waiters are so kind and they are extremely attentive. We got the wonton soup, Szechuan chicken, and General Tso combo. All the food was delicious, the General Tso was made with a white meat too. They also have the original hot mustard and not the cheap stuff.“

“We hesitated briefly about hiring a "day of" planner for our daughter's New Year's Eve wedding. We are so happy we did, and that we hired Ang. She helped us in so many ways, I can't even begin to mention them all. We just knew everything would go smoothly, and it did! A perfect example is what a disabled guest shared with me: Ang greeted her at the reception venue, asked her where she wanted to sit during the cocktail hour, and what she wanted to eat and drink, and she checked back with her several times. That guest is so appreciative of being treated that way. The icing on the cake was that she drove my wife and I home at 1:00 a.m. after she gathered all of the important things we needed to take with us. She is just the best.“

“First time here (2/22/25) and it was great. I had beef Pho and my wife had shrimp and chicken fried rice. Both were fantastic. Her fried rice was one of the best I’ve had in a really long time. I’ll def be back for that. The pho broth was great. The only thing different here than other places I’ve had Pho was that they didn’t give me mint with the jalapeño and bean sprouts. The service was a little slow as they were pretty busy but the owner was very apologetic. Almost too much but it was greatly appreciated because normally you don’t get that type of treatment. Even though the food came out slow he was top notch with keeping my water filled which is my primary must when it comes to restaurant service. And although it was just him working the front of the house he was serving everybody so attentively. And I think his wife was the only person in the back of the house. They did a wonderful job. Also that gave s a small salad that was quite tasty. I don’t know what kind of dressing it was but it was pretty darn good. Oh and we had the veggie spring rolls and chicken kabobs, both also good.“

“We went to the Jade palace on New year's day to try their Japanese food. My wife and I each order a Bento. Box, which is more food than you could expect. It includes soup, dumplings, rice, entree, such as tempora shrimp or teriyaki. Shrimp, sushi and a shrimp spring roll. the food was delicious, served quickly, and we enjoyed every bite. If you like a variety of Japanese food and don't know what to order. This would be a perfect choice. We are definitely going back to this restaurant to try other items on the menu.“

“I would give 5 stars for the food if I could. I’ve been there several times and the vegetables and sushi are always fresh. The service is quick, it’s like a fast food place but with healthier options. I usually get the steamed vegetables with white sauce and white rice and a MAC roll. I am gluten free as well as vegan, and had no problem eating here. My family enjoyed their food as well.“

I ordered the Steamed Pork Dumplings (8 pieces) and the Chicken Lo Mein. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and the portions were huge more than I expected for the price. I also got a Diet Pepsi, and the total was around $21.

It’s mostly grab and go with little to no seating, but perfect for takeout. Friendly staff and great food. I’ll definitely be back.“

I did read someone reviews talking about “the waiter was in the bad mood” I think our waiter was the waiter that the person mentioned about. He did seems cold and not friendly.. didn’t see any warm welcome smile but he still did what he need to be done. Probably that his actual personality, as long as he didn’t being rude or nasty with the service I’m ok.
The spring rolls usually came out super hot everytime we ate in every Vietnamese place, but in here came out warm. They might had this on hot box ready to go or quick refried them not sure, the taste was good.
My husband had meatballs pho and I had pork banh mi. The soup was pretty good but I didn’t really like the banh mi that much.“
