“Loved dropping in here on a Saturday. Very relaxed vibes walking in here, perfect for a relaxed meet up, coffee or quick bite. My wife and I ordered the Ume Plum Tea, Vietnamese Latte, Khang’s Special Banh Mi, Crispy Tofu Banh Mi, and Doenjang Butter Fries. The Ume Plum Tea is so unique, and their Vietnamese Latte is the best I’ve had. Their food portions are big, and will definitely leave you full. Highly recommend this place!“

“This has been my go to coffee shop since moving to the neighborhood. Coffee is super delicious always and the seasonal coffees are really good, right now they have a banana one that is prob the best coffee I’ve had in a while. Food is really delicious too, the spam sandwich is my favorite and where ever they get their bagels please don’t stop because they are my favorite in the city. The vibes and the interior of the place is super cool too, plus the staff is always super nice and really cool people too. This place has been my favorite part of moving to this neighborhood.“

“Brie was our Barista! Made an amazing oatmilk latte. I've had these before but this one was different. creamy and delicious! She told me the oatmilk isn't found in the stores around there. They get it special. Along with that I enjoyed a toasted perfectly thick cut sourdough sandwich with salmon and house made bacon horseradish cream cheese. It was amazing. The hubs had a Moroccan Mint tea and a delicious bagel. We will be back for sure. If you haven't been it's a must!“

“I heard about Baby’s Kusina while on a dinner date and wanted to try this Filipino market. First off, the building is absolutely beautiful and the decor is aesthetic. On to the important stuff, the food and drink. My fiancé got the Ube-Milk Matcha and the Cheesy Beshy. The sandwich was delicious and the Ube-Milk Matcha was incredible! I got an iced matcha and the Rich Tita, which may have been one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever ate; the housemate pork longganisa was out of this world, the bread was light and flaky, and the egg was perfectly cooked. The Rocky’s Matcha is such a rare find and definitely the best matcha in the city. Lastly, Tam and Raquel were incredibly welcoming owners and the staff was interactive and wonderful. They have made a returning customer of me. Highly recommend 10/10.“

They were honest and said one felt hard and dry, so they suggested another flavor that wasn’t. That impressed us. Then they answered our questions about best selling latte flavors and what some flavors were. “Sunday was my first visit to Zakes Cafe. The food was tremendous. I had the blueberry pancakes, the home fries, and bacon. However, the potatoes and the bacon were cold when they reached the table. I realized that the restaurant was busy, so I did not send anything back. I will return. However, if the food is cold again, I will send it back. Also, the coffee was very, very good.“

I had an iced latte with macadamia nut milk, which was excellent - coffee was sharp and almost savory, not watered down with too much milk. A little pricey for what it was ($6+ with tip) but a good treat. Friendly barista and excellent service as well. Love that they open relatively early on the weekends as well!“

“We just moved here. Walked in to ask for a takeout menu. It felt so warm and inviting and the staff behind the counter were so friendly that we decided to stay. Our server Jessica was very welcoming. My wife enjoyed the corned beef special on gluten-free bread. She said it tasted like real deli corned beef. I got a large hunk of Reuben quiche (it was Quiche of the Day) and it was delicious! Large chunks of corned beef, cheesy, and a yummy crust. Definitely going back, so many items in the display case looked tantalizing. This place feels like a hidden gem.“

I like that they have some light lunch food, although they tend to be on the pricier side — think avocado toast, lox plate, other cute hip upscale small plates. They have good wifi but weak AC so it gets pretty hot during the summer.“

Our Make-Up Girlie in the group wanted to check out the DIY Skincare workshop! The interior is small and has many things going on! It is a smoothie/juice bar as well as offering natural skin care offerings!
I signed ups up online for the 1-Hour workshop and the owner walked us through the steps by asking us o about skin types along with offering tips on how to address: normal; oily or dry skin types!

I appreciated the tips and the owner is a walking billboard for her company..her skin is flawless!

“I've been a drinker of La Colombe coffee since the 90's. Uniquely rich and smooth to the last drop. No acidity, no bitterness, no flavorings to mask an inferior roast. Pete's is the only other major coffee brand that I feel is competitive. The Fishtown storefront also brings excellent food to the table. The French Dip or Drip as they call it, is simply the best I have ever had. Their breakfast skillets are also delicious and the wood oven bread baked in house is fabulous. Service is the same as what you would receive at a Starbucks and the atmosphere is industrial, maintaining the vibe of the warehouse that it once was. But if good eats and coffee is what you seek, a visit to La Colombe is simply a must!“
