“I have not been to this establishment personally but am a devoted follower of Von Thun Farms in Washington NJ. I saw these Iced Cinnamon Buns for Sale in their farm store. I thought my partner would enjoy these. I was correct they are extraordinarily good. This kind of dessert is not my thing but I did enjoy these Cinnamon Buns too! It is the Maple Icing for me! I would like to purchase another item from your bakery another time I stop by the farm. I hope to see this bakery label so I can try another dessert. I recommend you try- you will not be disappointed.”
“Came here for the second time and was able to try their ice cream for the first time. I ordered a bowl of 2 scoops- marshmallow chocolate and peanut butter ripple, which cost a little less than $5. What's hot - Quality of ice cream. I really enjoyed the flavors I got! Their marshmallow chocolate was actually marshmallowy. The chocolate flavor wasn't too sweet and didn't overpower the marshmallow, either, which I enjoyed. Their peanut butter ripple appears to be a very popular flavor, because the bucket was practically empty by the time I ordered, which was close to closing time. The consistency of the peanut butter ripple is the best! The peanut butter is not too creamy and sweet; it had a hint of saltiness. - Variety of options at store. In addition to the ice cream, they sell meals and snacks, including bubble tea; the latter, of which, I'm very hesitant in trying. There are also many grocery options, like regular pies, whoopie pies, Jams, jellies, savory snacks, etc.... - Price. Pretty reasonable, depending on what you're getting. Paying $5 for my 2 scoops of ice cream is good value for money, especially given the quality of the ice cream. - Holiday hours. They were open the day after Christmas, which was great. I asked them why they're open and Emma's Popcorn was not. One of the staff told me they're staffed with Mennonites, so; it sounds like their hours may be more flexible. What's not - Regular store hours. Even though they are staffed with Mennonites, keep in mind their hours aren't too flexible, in that they don't open past a certain time. - Location. Depending on where you're coming from, this place may be out of your way. Additionally, they're not conveniently located to other shops. Final Answer Definitely plan on returning.”
“Very nice atmosphere. I had their turkey melt sandwich and a latte twice, both of which were delicious. It’s good to have this cafe since the hotel’s restaurant across the street is closed. They don’t serve dinner type meals, however.”
“Absolutely Incredible! Take it from a Chef!….This may Look like a cafeteria at first glance, But the tastes you’ll find Here deliver far beyond that!I would really like to take the time to compliment the staff on a job well done, The food was super fresh, and a Sizable value for the money, As an Executive chef, I Looked around the room and There really wasn’t an Ounce of vacant space on Plates coming fresh and full out of the kitchen, The Harvest Wrap with chicken, Feta, and Strawberries was something I could eat every single day!, the soup came out hot (Luke warm, tepid soup is a huge pet peeve of mine) and delicious, the manager T.J. Made his rounds of the room to check on every table and treated each guest with Superb courtesy, making sure everything didn’t only meet, but exceeded expectations, He Was spectacular, Really someone Kitchen Kettle Should Be very proud to have, and want to promote within their ranks every opportunity they have or can give him!, The Staff was super friendly and kept tables pre-bussed (industry term for Cleanliness and removing Empty plates of dead food),The Restaurant Was full of customers with a line out the door wanting more, I can see why, I personally Will not Open another restaurant In this supremely difficult environment so you’ve got to give a lot of credit to anyone Willing to keep the doors open for their public, It’s hard enough to hire anyone, Much less to suffer the raising food costs on the business with shrinking profit margins, This cafe doesn’t just do the job, they do it in a truly above and beyond manner, The price is fair, The quality is Exceptional, Pulling from the local producers such As an Award-Winning chef I’ve found there to be none better than That Produce found in Lancaster County, it’s why people visit, and Live Here, So, Hats off to the Cafe Staff, And to Anyone out there reading reviews like I sat in the car doing trying to figure out where to go before deciding on this place, I’m so glad I did and I can’t wait to come back, I know You’ll Feel the same way too, I only saw happy faces around the room and Heard only compliments on the size, value, and Deliciousness of their offerings, so, Stop reading and go! Get in line, and Grab one of their incredible offerings!”
“The Philly cheesesteak and haystack burger and waffle fries are some of my favorites. You need to try out their bubble tea, frappe, and latte drinks. Good icecream! Great atmosphere!”
“Been using them for 3 years for fantastic treats for my customers and family! Small issue with an order this morning. They immediately acknowledged the mistake and made it right, no questions asked. That's how business is done! I'll continue using them and referring them as the best cookies anywhere!”
“We stopped here based on reviews, as we were traveling through the area for an event. Totally worth the stop! The food was amazing! We thought we had a good Arepa joint near us…but this was next level. Parking is tricky, but still worth the trip!”
“Very nice atmosphere and very friendly helpful people. Very clean inside and out. Very delicious ice cream. Thats my first time but my relatives been here before and they liked it at the first time so are we. They have chikens and goats, small cows. My kids loved it, they petting goats and feedings them it was fun for kids. They love animals. Thank you so much for everything. Defenetly a come back place.”
“The BEST ice cream in the world! While turning onto the driveway to the Lapp farm we knew it would be special. There is meticulous grounds, farm cats and dogs, you can feed the cows and walk around the property. There is a drive through too for convenience but we like sitting on their enclosed porch and enjoy the views. On some days you may see cats walking around pleading for a taste of your ice cream and a dog sleeping (snoring). The store has freshly made waffle cones, fresh milk to drink there or take home. The chocolate milk tastes like a shake. If we could find a dry ice company near by we would take gallons of ice cream back home. It's the best!3/26/24 Update: Been coming here for over 15 years. Best of the best. If I were to ever start my own ice cream store in New Jersey, I would work a deal with Lapps to sell their brand in my shop.”
“First dine in awhile at Rt 30 Diner. Service was excellent, food was quick, portions were large, restaurant was clean, and staff as a whole were very friendly. You could tell they work as a team.”
“Great food and gluten free options, but there was one small issue. I ordered their gluten free burger, but it came looking like a sandwich with whole grain bread. Unfortunately, I am not fond of this type and was expecting a bun. Otherwise, it was a great place and I would definitely order again! Great atmosphere, amazing staff, and overall an amazing place! **I inserted a photo of the burger**”
“Well done!!This place is awesome. The food was delicious, the ice cream… delicious-er.The staff needs to be cloned and sent to every restaurant on earth. They were patient, helpful, and genuine. And the elegant simplicity of the decor was welcoming and endearing.I’ll go the 15 miles out of the way to get to this place again!”
“1st time here. I was so impressed by the food, service (my party had a very cheerful, spirited waiteress) & the place was booming with customers; come 1 to all sizes of groups. Will return.”
“Nonna Rosa has been consistently high quality.Homemade pasta, outstanding gnocchi and stellar sauces.Great wine pairing and desert. I love bringing out of towners here.”
“We visit on every trip to Lancaster county. Love their pies, cookies, whoopie pies and especially their dinner and hamburger rolls. They also have good ice cream and will make you a shake. During the summer there is a food truck outside baking pretzels. They're also extremely helpful if there's something special you want they will make it for you, you can either call or order it while you're there and pick up the next day. Coconut cream pie is amazing. Pumpkin pie also amazing, and pumpkin custard pie is seasonal but definitely worth trying.”
“My wife and I stopped by on Friday evening. The house made 10" rolls are legit and made the sandwiches. I had the Johnny Boy and the meats were high quality and the truffle oil complimented the sandwich. Only minor (very minor) issue was that the thick cut mozzarella at times overpowered the meat. But only a minor issue. My wife had the Caprese sandwich and enjoyed it thoroughly. We will be back as the menu looks amazing and I need two work my way through a few other selections.”
“Yummy pretzels! Great place to sit and eat while the children can watch the cars/buggies on the porch. Some of the table are way to close to the road for comfort (specifically children so close to the road)”
“We enjoy the hot pretzels made on the property by very hard working Amish women. These enterprising women bring their children with them. We have dipped the pretzels in their cheese sauce. They are delicious.Inside their shop, are excellent products to purchase. Annie’s mustard is excellent. Some products are sold on Amazon but much more expensive. We visit the area a few times a year. We always stop here.We also stay at one of the Bird in Hand hotels/motels/B&B properties. The properties include “ free bus” tour of the Amish countryside with excellent orientation of the Amish people by van driver. We love this store.”
“The food for the two of us was ready in less than 10 min. The pulled pork on fries with cheese sauce and BBQ is delicious! My husband enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich also! The soft pretzels were soft and a definite recommend. The triple chocolate ice cream had an excellent flavor, but was perhaps a bit icy.”
“Ordered an iced chai and strawberry smoothie. Both were delish. Got a toasted everything bagel, very good hand they were generous with cream cheese. Unfortunately we missed the breakfast sandwich window (ends at 10:30am) so maybe next time I’m in the area. Friday’s special was fresh cinnamon buns. They have a different item each day.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu affordable options”
“We are a family of 4 (ages 5 and 8) and we loved it!! Best part: a little nook with some toys and books. This made it possible for our kids to play and my husband and I could have a conversation without interruptions! The food was WONDERFUL, all of the staff was lovely, the bathrooms were clean and the decor and atmosphere are awesome. If we ever come back to this area we will definitely be back!!”
“This is such an awesome small eatery and ice cream shop! The staff was very friendly, and the food was terrific! Will definitely return sometime soon!Parking: Plenty of parking behind the eatery, as well as on the street spaces.”
“What a great spot!!! I took my kids there for the first time since we had a little bit of time to spare, the service was excellent, it was inviting and the staff were all so patient (since the 3 of us were new the entire Oola bowl experience). Definitely going back...and so lucky we are close! Keep up the great work & service. Cheers.Parking: We parked off of the main street (Old Philadelphia Pike), it's the back of the store entrance but looks like the front. No problem parking.Kid-friendliness: Patient with those that are unsure.”
“I have been a customer of the Olde Greenfield Restaurant for years. My family, friends and I always have an amazing time with great food, good friendly service, in a beautiful setting. Over the years, we have celebrated many wonderful family events and holidays at the Restaurant and it is definitely our 'go to restaurant'. I would recommend the Restaurant to both local residents as well as folks visiting the area. Thank you!”
“My wife and I love Twin Valley Coffee. It is our weekly ritual to spend every Saturday morning enjoying a cold brew with caramel and sweet cream. The best coffee in the area and the service is fantastic. We also love to grind their Jamaican Me Crazy whole bean coffee at home. Simply the best!”
“Wow! Very friendly atmosphere! The employees were considerate of each other which puts customers at ease. They were quick to meet every Need and answer every question. The food was great! Best stuffed French toast ever!!”
“The staff was very friendly and kind. The little cut in booths make for a private, quiet, date night! Frank, the owner, goes above and beyond. Excellent food, excellent prices! A great example of how to run and business and keep family first! Thanks Frank, we will return on our date nights or for family take and bake dinners!”
“I was dining with 4 others and one friend needed to plug in her O2 and the staff accommodated us quickly with smiles. Ruthie was our server and she was absolutely delightful! The meal started with delicious homemade rolls and peanut butter spread. I ordered meatloaf and mashed potatoes and peas and the servings were giant! Everything was delicious. The peas were fresh and tasty. I would definitely come back again!”
“The food was great the staff was professional and the place was clean. I personally had a hard time getting in due to being handicapped. No ramp. But the place is ”
“What a cute cupcake shop!!! And the cupcakes are so unique and delicious! My favorite is a classic Lancaster County flavor of shoo fly pie cupcake!! So amazing!!And Megan the owner is wonderful and so friendly!!”
