“This was something like my 3rd visit. It is an absolute must when coming to Amish Country. Make it a jumping off place for your exploring. The baked goods are amazing, the service is friendly, efficient and well thought out and the ambiance lets you begin to feel that you have really stepped away from your busy, modern life. Great for families, tourists or those who just want a to slow down.”

“We stumbled upon this gem at a kiosk at the hotel we are staying at and we can never turn down BBQ. 😂 the food was great, the service was great, and everything was fast, hot and perfect. Mark was our waiter and he was amazing. Not only is he a great server (i know because I worked in this industry), he’s incredibly kind and hilarious. We came for my birthday, which he knew. When I said no to dessert he asked if he could bring me a scoop of ice cream with a candle, to which I said “sure, but no singing!” Well when he came back to the table with another employee he loudly pronounced “on the count of 3!” Like they were going to sing and counted down then walked away. It was incredibly funny. Thank you, Mark, for making the night memorable!”

“This place is a gem in the middle of farm country. Couldn't ask for nicer people! The chicken is delicious! I saw sweet potato fried on my neighbors tray and will definitely be trying them next time. The loaded fries were also super.”

“What a great place to do some wine tasting and some brewery tasting. We came in owned by Mount Hope Wine and Brewery Company next to Renaissance Faire. We walked in and was greeted by an employee who was very informative about the brewery and Winery. There was so much to see and much to buy. We even had a wine tasting for $5 with 4 selections including 1 free bonus and we got free wine glasses with the tasting. I also ordered a Nightmare Before Christmas glass. We very breifly went upstairs to see the brew and I did like the selection of tee shirts we might have to stop by in the future to get t-shirts and try a little brew.”

“Just had dinner at Bird-in-Hand Restaurant- the smorgasbord was amazing! So many choices! Everything was hot and delicious. The cheeseburger soup was very good! The homemade rolls- very yummy! Shrimp, ribs, mashed potatoes! Salad! I even had a mango slushy! Definitely the place to eat. Can’t wait to come back and try breakfast! Oh and dessert! Wow! Pies, puddings, amazing. Very Lancaster County authentic food! Loved it!”

“Dinner and a show. Everything on the menu is absolutely amazing. “The Show” happens when you sit at Chef’s table and watch them team create one masterpiece after another. I watched them train a new employee to do the same! Pinch and pull the dough- enough sauce, but not too much. Carefully and skillfully place all ingredients! final inspection before the fire and then another after. Watch for this and that before you serve. Pizza will. ever to the same for me.”

“My husband and I have been wanting to try Silantra for months and today we finally checked it out! We LOVE it!! The food is delicious and the service is fast and friendly. Our 11 year old son had a chicken and rice bowl with yellow coconut curry sauce and he wanted me to write that it had the perfect mix of spices and the chicken had a perfect texture. Five stars!! “My husband and I were on a small getaway and discovered this treasure. I am an ice cream lover and must tell you that this is hands down the BEST ice cream I ever had. My husband profoundly agrees! He wanted to go again before we left but it wasn’t possible. We’re already trying to plan another trip down just to go to Fox Meadows. Also, the staff was so friendly. The you g woman who waited on us was extremely friendly and provided us samples to try. Since it was our first visit we were also given a free beverage each! We 💯 percent recommend!!!!!”

“I’ve visited the creamery at the farm and in their store. This is the best ice cream I’ve eaten!! I also had a pastry for breakfast. I think was called a rolled pastry or similar. It has several layers of ham and cheese inside a really tasty buttery pastry that looks like a French croissant. It was delicious!!”
