“I would like to do the pros first because there are a few. The building is beautiful and nicely done. Our waitress worked hard. My French toast was great and my omelette was good. The cons: I would have addressed this with the staff because it’s not fair to have complaints and just do reviews but I was with someone who never says anything and would have been embarrassed if I had. But how will a business improve if they don’t get feedback? To start, my bagel was cold and hard. Left most of it. My home fries were cold. The pancakes were cold. Our waitress did everything: took orders, delivered meals, refilled coffees (when she had time which wasn’t often), set out ketchup bottles on all the tables, cleared and wiped tables…all while another young girl stood behind the bar talking all about herself to a customer and did nothing to help. We aren’t from the area so I’m not sure we’ll have the opportunity to be back but if we do get to Erie again I’d certainly give them another try.“

“We went for a friends birthday! It was very good food wise, however, I snuck up to the bar and asked about birthday celebrations and if they did anything special, she had said yes we do a brownie and asked me which table/person. The brownie was great and had a sparkler! BUT when we got our bills the birthday girl had a $7 charge for the brownie! I was very confused because I’ve never been somewhere that charged for a birthday brownie and was not told it would cost anything. Just surprising especially being they charged the birthday person. All and all it was good food but wish the staff be more informative.“

“We had dinner on a Tuesday evening and it was not busy. We got a table right away.
We used to frequent this place over a decade ago and came for the Cincinnati chilli. It did not disappoint. The chicken tenders were on special Tuesday for $3 ea. We thought that was odd for chicken tenders but then we saw the size of them. The kids meal comes with 2 and 1 was the size of her head lol. They were also very good. The breading has a very good flavor.“

“We frequently visit this restaurant on Wednesdays, and I always ensure to tip generously. However, during my recent visit, my wife ordered the new chicken skillet dinner. When she inquired about the quantity of waffle fries, the manager, Mindy, responded that they couldn’t provide more, stating that it was only fries. Notably, the advertisement prominently features a plate full of waffle fries. Despite the server’s apology for Mindy’s rude behavior, which I believe was unnecessary, I felt that the disparity between the advertised quantity and the actual amount served was unacceptable.

“the service was very good and the meal was good. my complaint is the price. I ordered a raspberry ice tea and it only came in one size huge! cost as much as a beer. but the kicker came when we ordered two slices of pie to go. they charged us $7.00 EACH. then got home and had the pie later. it was all crust very little cream filling and huge dobs of whip cream. coconut cream pie. will never order dessert again. it was way over prices and was not a good pie.“

“My husband and I stop in almost every time we are in Erie. We've been lucky to get Mary as our server nearly every time. If the owners are reading this, do whatever you have to do to never lose Mary as a server! She is wonderful. So pleasant, amazing at performing her job, makes you feel right at home. Whatever she is being paid is not nearly enough. Food is always excellent, quick service. We will be back!“

“First off this place is neat. Being run inside an old train station is just something you don’t see and makes it so much “warmer” inside. We had some of the craft sodas which were good, and for food we had the fried pierogis, The Pittsburger and The Train Wreck. The pierogis were good, the burger was really good, but the Train Wreck was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I’d drive 500 miles to eat this sandwich again. The fries were really good and all off us were stuffed. If I ever come through Erie again this is the first place I’m stopping.“

“I dropped in for an early dinner and sat at the bar. First, I love a bar with hooks for your purse and a foot rest so your legs don’t go numb. Second, service is fantastic. All the White Buffalo staff take care of you. If they notice your drink is low, they ask if you want another. They check if your order is correct and if you need anything else. All the staff care, not just an assigned server. Few places run this way. I got a salad with hot wing sauced chicken and steamed vegetables – brilliant idea. You don’t need dressing, because the sauce is the dressing. I loved that you have an option of grilled or fried chicken. The kitchen staff has chicken down – moist, not over cooked. Also, I was pleasantly surprised that the salad greens were mixed greens – not plain iceburg. It was wing night, so many around me were eating wings – they serve the biggest wings I have seen. The White Buffalo has many wing flavors and from what I saw, cook to order. Sitting at the bar, I could also see they offer lots of liquor options. I enjoy trying new brands and flavors, this bar does not disappoint. They also have some fun top shelf sippers. Looking forward to returning and trying some new treats.“

“Post 2020, what a world, Perkins is like Mom's lemon merengue pie available by the slice. The problem is, in post 2020 world inflation and costs have gone crazy. Perkins is an amazing place, still serving breakfast any time of the day, however it is now nearly 50 out the door for two on two breakfast entrees a side of sausage and a drink. The food is consistent and comes as ordered and always tasty. The bill now reflects entrees at a 300% increase from 2020, definitely puts a bit of a bad taste in your mouth.“

The bar seating was completely packed and the young lady behind the bar did her job to perfection and as always the food was cooked to perfection and the drinks were perfect. “This is regarding the location inside Turfway Park Racing and Gaming in Florence Kentucky.. Husband and I wanted to come out and watch the band that was there this past Saturday night. Apparently they have a new table service 'rule' in effect. if I understand it correctly, in order to sit at a table and watch the band which doesn't start until 9:30 or later, you MUST order $50 worth of food and or drinks. After the 2 hours that you are there, if you want to stay longer, they will charge you an additional $50. Who are they to tell people how much they must spend on food and drinks? We stood outside of the railing actually in the casino and watched the band for the 1st set.. We saw a couple sitting at a small round table in front of us only order two alcoholic beverages the whole time they were there.. so you are telling me that you expect two people to sit at your table and if they are not ordering food, you expect them to spend $50 on alcohol in order to sit at the table? Unless I am misunderstanding,,, needless to say, we will never ever step foot inside of this restaurant to eat or drink.“
