“What a relief. For a moment I almost forgot I was a 50-year-old adult with a designated driver.

After five Long Island Iced Teas, despite not driving, not causing a scene, not being visibly intoxicated, and simply enjoying my evening, I was informed that I was done for the night. It felt less like I was at a bar and more like my mom had decided I’d had enough.

To be fair, I respect a business that takes safety seriously, and I’d much rather see a bar be cautious than overserve someone. I just felt this decision didn’t match how I was actually behaving. I left disappointed because I felt I was treated more like a liability than a customer.

Five stars for looking out for people—even if this time it felt like you were looking out for me a little more than necessary.“

“Juice pod The Juice Pod Lansdale is my go to take out place! I call in my order so I don’t have to wait at the store. When I call, most often I’m addressed by “Hi Carrie — your usual?” How special to be greeted by name and they already know my order. This amazing employee, A is always so sweet and welcoming when I call or come into the store. She is the best and always brightens my day! Every time I arrive, my order is ready to go. My go to is the Knight Bowl (no Nutella with peanut butter) and my son always gets the dragonfruit bowl (and adds peanut butter). Their bowls are loaded with fillings and toppings! Their açaí bowls are so much better than any other bowl place around. Pro tip: Place your order ahead of time, pick up and enjoy! Oh and don’t forget to give them your phone number — every 10 orders and you have enough points for a free bowl.“

“My wife and I truly enjoy having dinner and drinks at this location. We prefer to sit at the bar. The bartenders are always knowledgeable and friendly. They are attentive and never let you hanging. They keep you informed and never let you feel unwelcomed.

“Our dinner was delicious! We had the special, blackened salmon and scallops with mango salsa on a bed of mashed potatoes and grilled brussel sprouts. The salmon was cooked to perfection! Even the presentation was perfect. We both had a glass of white wine and finished our meal with a shared piece of cheesecake. Our waitress was wonderful and took great care of us. Thank you! We will be back.“

“We eat at El Cactus frequently sometimes twice a week. Their food is excellent. My favorite is their shrimp tacos. My husband loves the sizzling fajitas and the burritos. Their servers are all very friendly. I highly recommend El Cactus!“

“I visited the market today for teacher appreciation gifts (our organization needed 27 of them and I didn’t do a good job planning ahead). Rachel worked with me on deciding on what would fit my budget and spent time wrapping all of them with a thank you sticker on the back for me to pick up later on. “The Whitpain Tavern is my go to neighborhood bar and restaurant. Great food, friendly employees and some of the best cocktails out there. The bar has it's share of regulars and it is always fun to go in, have a drink and talk with everyone at the bar. Tina who works behind the bar during the day is one of the best bartenders out there. Friendly, attentive, remembers her customer's names and knows her craft. Pat and Alex the owners are hands on, there every day and take pride in their establishment. Two super nice people that get to know their customers. The Whitpain is like my Cheers and I look forward to my visits there each week.“

“Made a mobile order for dine in. Received a notification that there was a long wait due to existing orders during peak dinner time. Dinner was finally ready for pickup after more than half hours. The salad and the soup were good as expected. The sandwich was warmly served. The pastry was a sweet finish.“

“Here is the thing. Google says they open at 10:30, which is only technically correct. They are serving food at around 10:50-11 am when the chicken is cooked, and are ready for all food by 12 pm the latest. This is actually a great thing, you know going in all of the food is fresh. The cooking smells bleed out into the gas station parking lot and are truly fantastic.With that important disclaimer out of the way, this is the best halal food you can find in the Landsdale/North Wales area by far. Both sauces are great of course, and the salad they serve with their rice platters is fresh and cuts through the spice if you're like me and order extra hot sauce. Their chicken is the only chicken I have actually enjoyed from a halal food establishment. The guys at the counter are super friendly.

Vegetarian options: Falafel is amazing and everyone should try it.

Parking: The parking lot is the same as the Exxon, and while the owners are pretty understanding I felt uncomfortable taking up a space while I ate my food. This food is best eaten straight off the griddle but taking it home might be more accessible.“
