“This was such a wonderful experience! On our visit to Hawley we visited this cafe for lunch and it was SO packed but the staff made sure we felt welcomed and we sat quickly. Fearing the food would take a long time we reluctantly ordered and wow! Watching the kitchen staff was impressive! Food was Excellent and huge! Thanks so much for lunch and leftover breakfast the next day!!“

“On a weekend getaway in Hawley this past weekend and came across this hidden gem breakfast place - Laurel's Hometown Cafe in Honesdale! Fantastic service, food and hospitality. Christina our server was awesome as well as the chef. Awesome breakfast, generous portions and priced just right for every budget. “I love this place! Friendly staff. Great breakfast/lunch food. I recommend whatever they have on special each day. Waffle Fridays. They have plenty of my kid’s favorite jelly. I pretty much always get the hash, crispy. We get a table in the back so that we can be loud and distributive. Very reasonable prices.

“My husband and I went for pizza tonight. This was our first time here. Just the aroma when entering was enough to make you mouth water. The atmosphere is so nice. The building is beautiful and esthetically pleasing. A soft relaxing ambiance. The pizza (extra cheese, mushroom, onion and garlic NY style) was amazing!!! The crust is thin with a nice crisp. The sauce was seriously on point. One of the best pizzas I have ever had. We will be back!“

“This was definitely an experience my husband and I needed. It was such a nice place, very big, very spacious. We stayed in the Cove Harbour suite and it was huge. I loved the star lights on the ceiling. The bathroom was huge with a double vanity. Heart shaped hot tub was so cute. I found the toilet a little oddly placed and the standing shower small in such a huge bathroom. We had rose petals added to our package and it was sweet but I expected a little more roses than what was laid out. The sparkling champagne was so delicious, we ended up ordering a 2nd one. The first champagne was in the fridge but no glasses were left for us so we drank straight from the bottle. The 2nd champagne we ordered delivered to the room, came with champagne flutes but 1 was broken so we didn't end up using it. We had complimentary dinner/breakfast included with our stay. Dinner was ok, didn't meet our expectations. I ordered the Grilled Seared Salmon and my husband ordered the Lamb Osso Buco. Salmon was how I liked my fish to be cooked but was so dry. My husband barely finished his dinner. Breakfast was great though, lots of options. Our server was great, very nice, funny, and very attentive. We also went to Spooners for a quick lunch snack and to play some games, it was enjoyable, played billiards, ping pong, connect 4. Nothing crazy and it was free. The arcade games you did have to pay for but they weren't expensive, it's like $1 a game. We took a peek at the gym but it was bare with just a few machines. It wasn't as lively as I had expected it to be but considering we only stayed 1 night, I'm sure there was so much more to see. This is definitely a place to reconnect with your significant other and just enjoy each other's company.“
