“Our long time friends and coworkers met there for the first time and it was FABULOUS! Carol was a doll and so interesting to talk with. Her homemade soup, finger sandwiches and desserts (try her homemade scones and homemade whipped crème) were delicious. We certainly didn’t go away hungry. Her vintage style was heartwarming. She kept filling our cups with hot water in the many teapots that she has collected, along with the many types of tea. Oh I forgot to mention she even stenciled the dining room floor!! We will certainly be back.“

The GF-Vegan Cupcakes I ordered were waiting in a box for me, and she was so patient since we came right at closing time. Her flavors were DIVINE! The love and care that went in to our treats was something special! I love pretty food, but what a win when the food tastes better than it looks! Thank you Donna! Everyone, not just the dietary folks, were in love with your food! If we are in the Scranton area again, we’ll be sure to order again!!“

“I love the theme and specialties of the owners coffees. She makes delicious pastries and is always a joy to talk to. Very interactive with her customers and puts a lot of thought into her weekend specials with flavor and names. All the coffee has cute little spooky names to go with the theme of the establishment. “I ordered catering from BackBurner Cafe for a house party. Tracy helped customize the menu and helped ensure that we had everything we needed to enjoy the food. Her prices were reasonable and she drove 30 minutes to deliver the catering to our home which I really appreciated. Above all, the food was outstanding, and our guests enjoyed leftovers on the following day. My only regret was that I only catered one meal from them. I can't recommend BackBurner Cafe enough and look forward to catering with them again next time.“

I had a pizza with onions. It was thin and and plenty of cheese and onions. They were not skimpy. . It was so delicious .

“The Cafe is a comfortable spot for lunch or dinner. The food choices are posted on the wall for customer consideration and ordering at the counter. The food is mysteriously delivered by a member of the staff. I chose a chicken Caesar wrap. It was full of chicken but was a bit dry on this occasion, more lettuce and dressing was needed. It was served with potato chips (meh) and a pickle chip. My friend ordered a club sandwich with special modifications. It also was served with potato chips. We each enjoyed soft drinks -- lemonade and Sprite. A full bar is available which includes specialty coffees. I recommend this long-standing restaurant.“

“I love coming to work with my laptop at this location. It's clean, service members are very friendly and I love the food. I usually come in the mornings, get a sip club drink, order some lunch and then stay until about 2pm. Overall a very comfortable experience that I would recommend. Recently I got some extras from some of the girls for being a regular which I really appreciated. Very easy to find a spot to sit, order online via the app and enjoy a comfortable and relaxed experience. 10/10“
