“Amazing food! The owners make you feel like family!“

“After a disastrous trek with our kids to the Crayola MisManagement Experience, we were at our wits end. Tempers were short. Patience worn thin. And our appetites were monstrous. I was frantically scouring our path home for an easy detour with drive-thru. Slim pickin's. And then, like a beacon in the fog, we saw Vassi's. It had a ridiculously high rating on Google, and we could order ahead. Boom. Done. And let me tell you, I am not at all exaggerating when I say that I would absolutely drive up there again just to have another gyro with fries, or try the burgers, which my husband and daughter confirmed were great. And absolutely would have to try the milkshakes, because they looked fantastic. Driving home in rush-hour traffic was much more tolerable with full stomachs and happy tastebuds.“

“TL;DR: The food is great!

Came here for the first time tonight with my wife (great pick, babe!) and the experience was excellent. I call it an experience because it truly felt like one! We arrived not knowing what to expect and started at the kiosk area, began looking through the menu there when the nice woman behind the counter asked if we might like to eat in the dining room. I thought she meant the open area, but no! There is a cozy space off the the side of the kitchen that somehow looks straight out of the future, yet has a rustic feel. The slightly varied blue tones paired with the dark brick evoked a calm and welcoming aura.

The food is simply fantastic. My wife started with the ...cauliflower appetizer which she loved (I'm not a cauliflower fan myself) and I tried the mozzarella sticks which were some of the best I had. The were light and at first I thought maybe I got one where the cheese all fell out, but nope! completely filled, crisp and delicious.

We both had gyros, which came with pita chips that are just to die for. Light, crispy and deliciously paired with humus. My Steak gyro was the best I've had...and the same for the perogies. My great grandmother used to make her own, and these are the best I've had since then.

The piece de resistance: The apple perogies! Hot, sweet little pockets of culinary joy, they reminded me of empanadas. Next time we'll know to get 2 orders. So glad we saved room for dessert!

“daddys place is so freaking good. we took a cpl of family members from nys who are experienced with Mediterranean food. they were blown away. gave it a 10 out of 10 and was one of the gest dining experiences they ever had. we got the meal for 4 which was 3 courses. so much high quality food. the humus is incredible!! “Our evening started with a table outside which I thoroughly enjoyed. Our server Luigi took our cocktail order and we ordered salads to start. I recalled when he just started as a server a couple of years ago and he is wonderful. Very sweet and attentive to ensure a great dining experience. I had a Freska Cocktail...absolutely divine, it had Broker's Gin and Skinos Matisha liquer over pebble ice and a cucumber slice curled up for fragrance and beautiful appearance. To say I enjoyed this cocktail is an understatement. It was fab. My salad was the tomato 'Village' salad which is served with everything I appreciate, wonderful Olives, capers, cucumbers, thinly sliced red onions, wedges of feta and some other fresh herbs with a light dressing. It was delicious. My husband had the beet salad which had different color beets and as well wedges of feta. All so fresh. For dinner my husband had the filet mignon and I had the grilled Lamb Chops with lemon potatoes and stuffed eggplant. The white wine was delicious as well. This is our go to restaurant. The owner Melissa could not be more pleasant as well. When I told her how much we enjoyed dinner we had a nice conversation.“

“Food is always cooked to order. May be a slight wait if you’re getting freshly cooked meals like a Smashburger or chicken tenders, but the wait is well worth it all the food is freshly made and well done prep, grey hospitality great food and service would recommend 10 out of 10.“
