“Great local family-owned restaurant. We had a large party of 12. We were surprised they had no problem sitting us immediately.Standard, hearty diner food. Fresh, hot and good. It seemed like we had hardly finished ordering and the food started arriving. Extremely fast!Highly recommend this spot as a go-to for breakfast. And they were flexible, willing to serve anything on the menu at 8:30 AM. Who eats wings for breakfast? This guy!Eat here! You won’t regret itParking: Difficult intersection but parking on both sides of the diner.“

“Cafe La Maude in Philadelphia is a charming spot that blends French and Lebanese culinary traditions into a delightful brunch experience. With a 5-star rating, it’s praised for its flavorful and unique dishes, professional service, and the cozy ambiance that makes the wait worthwhile. The menu offers a mix of healthy options, and while the prices are a bit steep, the quality of the food is exceptional. It’s a place where you can enjoy a leisurely meal and feel the warmth of family history and culture in every bite.“

“We enjoy relaxing in the bar area. Great atmosphere. Attentive service. The drinks are we crafted, always a Warwick Farms on draft. Pizza, awesome. Cacio e pepe, awesome. Love the apple Goat cheese salad, cherry wood bacon is nice in there. Hummus & pita to start every single time. Usually spend 2-3 hours lounging there. Great local place for us.“

“My go-to place for bagels when I’m in the area. Great consistency, cream cheese is good, high quality salmon. Great for getting a sandwich or bringing some bagels and a tub of cream cheese home. Staff are lovely! Be sure to bring cash for small orders.“

“Stopped in on a lovely day to try Zorba's, sat outside at a sidewalk table. Nice crusty bread and dipping oil are served with dinner. Sampled many of their items with the charcoal grilled platter: kebabs, gyro, lamb lollipop, sausage, marinated chicken, orzo, buttery potato, and veggies. There was a lot so I might've forgotten something! All of the meats were grilled wonderfully and were still tender and flavorful. The spice / marinades are very good and will linger long after your meal reminding you how good it was. Great portion and a good deal to share. Will be back to try some of their other menu items for sure. Thanks“

“Food was fresh, delicious, and fairly priced. Beware of the pickled jalapeños if you are sensitive to spicy food. Both their beef gyro and falafel were the best I’ve ever had. Please keep in mind that I don’t even like meat and I’ve been struggling with anorexia for decades. So it’s very difficult for me to eat anything unless it’s super fresh and extraordinarily tasty. This place is a true gem and treasure.Service was outstanding, The owner-host made us feel immediately welcomed and at ease. She let us customize our order and was very prompt with our food. She was very knowledgeable about the ingredients they use, as well. The seating area is small, but that is to be expected in this area.Overall, this was by far our favorite restaurant to visit in the Philly area.Vegetarian options: they have falafel, grape leaves, hummus, baba ghanoush, salads, you name it! they offer endless customization options if you’d like, as well.Dietary restrictions: they serve halal, and they are knowledgeable about the ingredients they use.“

“Stopped in here on a Friday early evening for dinner. You order at the counter and then they call you when your order is ready. I thought the prices were very good for the portions you got. I enjoyed a hummus bowl that had veggies in it and falafel. I got a meal so i picked a salad and a bottle of water to go with it. There was so much food! My boyfriend liked his dinner as well! The restaurant looked fairly new. Nicely decorated and clean. I will be back for another hummus bowl!“

“I've tried a few different Ethiopian places and this is some of the best I've tried. Normally I'm not a huge fan of collard greens but I loved these, they were tender and delicious. The bread was thick and spongey and portioned correctly for the amount of vegetables in the platter. I would certainly return if I were in the area again.“

“Was shopping in Ardmore the other day and stumbled upon lentil & co which had just opened - and I’m so glad I did! I ordered two lentil bowls to go and they were delicious, healthy and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was great, and the owners and staff were so lovely - I will definitely be coming back!!“

“Zesty's is like being in Greece without the hassle of flying. The owner is totally hands on. He takes pride in every dish that leaves his kitchen. His menu is memorable. My family has been enjoying Zesty's for over 11 years. My grandchildren's Christening parties have been celebrated at Zesty's. Last night my family celebrated my grandson's birthday here.Everyone, regardless of age, is welcome. Live music enhanced our evening. Thank you,Tom.“

“Went there this past Sunday afternoon. First time, and I was pleasantly surprised. Everything tasted very authentic and delicious. The service was great and we had such a fun time talking to the staff. We went off the menu and made up our own meals to share with our table and they were up for it.“

“There were bunch of mediterranean food places near by where we live at. Had coupleplaces in mind to try from, and for thistime we went ahead with Sama Grill. We ordered chicken shawarma & chicken kebab entrees with side of hummus & tzatziki sauce respectively. The rice had such a subtle flavor , along with the chickenshawarma well cooked topped of with garlic sauce.Their chicken kebabs were pretty amazing , juicy , nice herb flavors , and very light. Hummus was great with Pita bread.Their tzatziki sauce was disappointing , which tasted just like a yoghurt with no such great flavor in it. The hot sauce was not good , either I have mistaken it for hot sauce or it might have been something-else. Either ways I will not try their red sauce personally. We also have tired their Turkish coffee which was an interesting flavor, coffee with cardamom flavor in it. Felt like the cardamom flavor dominated the actual coffee flavor. However it smelled great and tasted decent.Overall after having food at Sama grill it felt very light on stomach given their such subtle balanced herb flavors and well cooked juicy chicken. Glad that we tried out this place.“

“I would give this place an infinite amount of stars if it were possible. When me and my friends lived around here, we loved hitting this Halal cart up on Friday nights. We even made the occasional pilgrimage there once we lived in separate places around Philly.Majit (and later Salman) always whipped up the freshest food, had a smile on their face, and were glad to talk with us. Salt of the earth. If you like Halal you owe it to yourself to get in front of the Fishtown Planet Fitness and order a lamb/falafel combo platter with your sauces of choice.“

“I woke up still dreaming about the feast I had at Apricot Stone last night! My friends and I came here spontaneously and were very pleased with the food, so much so that almost every one of us was doing the happy dance when we took our first bites! We ordered some mezze to share such as the grape leaves, the manti, and the hummus. Wow were we off to a great start! The stuffed grape leaves were the first bite of the night that absolutely blew me away. They were soft, not bitter at all, and the rice inside was seasoned beautifully. I highly recommend you try them here! The manti was something we all tried for the first time and I wanted to eat that again and again. I wanted to swim in the broth that these beef dumplings were sitting in! I’m pretty sure we were all fighting over the last few servings of this dish and wanting to drink the liquid off our sharing plates unabashedly. The hummus was so smooth and velvety and delicious! Not a single bit was left on the spoon or plate in came in.For entree we all pretty much ordered the lamb kabob entree with rice pilaf and choice of sides. The lamb was juicy and flavorful and cooked beautifully. The rice was so flavorful I wanted to keep eating it! The muhamara was one of the sides i chose and tried for the first time and I’m obsessed with it - flavorful roasted red pepper dip with walnuts and molasses, it’s all blended as a type of dip and the pieces of walnuts make this dip feel almost meaty and deliciously satisfying. I also got the eggplant salad and the veggies were just cooked so beautifully, great balance of bite yet softness to the eggplant and seasoned well.My friends loved the tabouleh and babaganoush as their sides!I also had the Armenian coffee and baklava for dessert. The baklava was good - I wish there was a bit more nuts in between and some more syrup, but I tried a bite of my friends gatnabur (Armenian rice pudding with blossom water) and would really recommend getting that! Our server did not rush us at all even when we had a hard time deciding what to get, and even guided us through the menu and explained how it would be presented and what would be more shareable. We sat on the heated patio and it felt really magical.I definitely would come back again for a great night with even better food!“

“The food is so good. This was my first time trying this place and I will definitely be back regularly. The restaurant is larger than it looks from outside, there is plenty of seating and parking was not a problem. I ordered the chicken shawarma platter and the baklava cheesecake. Do yourself a favor and order 2 of the baklava cheesecakes. I regretted only ordering one when I got home.“

“I just Googled "best food near me" when I was in the area and Da Bistro was the top result. I love Mediterranean food so of course I went to check it out.I was not disappointed in the slightest! I can say I had one of the single most delicious meals of my life! I literally (original definition of literally) got ASMR while eating.I ordered the Grilled Spanish Octopus as an appetizer and Lulya Kebab as an entree. I sample grilled octopus every chance I get and this was the best I've ever had; absolutely fantastic!! My Kebab was also incredible, it came out perfectly cooked and oh so juicy. The sauce that was pair with it complimented it wonderfully! After being blown away with the appetizer and entree I decided I had to try the dessert here as well. I ordered Baklava and once again... wow!The food wasn't the only charm to be had. The service was excellent and the staff very welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere was very pleasant and I found the lighting and music complimentary to the cuisine.I'm definitely coming back when I'm in the area!“

“The food is delicious! I had the shrimp tacos and my daughter had the chicken tacos. We sat and ate on the old bank steps next to the cart. It was so yummy, we ordered another two orders to go! Open late on Monday night at midnight. Not sure what time they actually close.“

“wow, I just discovered this hidden gem right off temple campus and with one visit it’s already my favorite restaurant in Philly, the food was so amazingly flavorful and I love the vegetarian options. The service was phenomenal, I felt like I was at a 5 star restaurant. The boy with the Afro was extremely nice and made sure I knew of ALL of my options and even helped me get $2 off my order since it was my first time. I highly recommend this spot to anyone who wants to grab a bite to eat and do some work or have a nice catch up with friends. The environment and food are top tier.“

“The food is real authentic Egyptian exactly like what you would eat in Egypt. We tried Mahshi, Kushari, grilled chicken, Hawawshi, Pot Kebab, and Shawirma. It is easily the best Shawerma we have eaten in Philly so far. Mahshi is like no other place, real and authentic. Kushari is real and authentic. Pot Kebab is amazing if you like strong flavored lamb meat. Juice is fresh and refreshing. The servers really care about the food quality.Atmosphere is fine and street parking is usually available.“

“TL:DR - Delicious food, awesome folks, family business!Had been meaning to try this place out stopping in briefly last month to check out the menu, but not ordering anything. Sure glad I came back! The food is delicious, and prepared with love by Ali and his family. The menu has a wide variety of Mediterranean food, so you can get everything you'd like! They also do custom requests (and catering!) if you'd like something specially prepared for you.First and foremost, the "famous" pumpkin bread pudding was absolutely amazing. Fortunately they serve it all year round! It was great cold, warmed up, and from the fridge the next day. The savory pumpkin and just-right-amount of spices pair perfectly with the rich, sweet bread pudding. Do not miss out on this one! And eat dessert first! At my sis' recommendation, I tried the stuffed grape leaf wrap - and it was delicious. It had all the things a tiny stuffed grape leaf would have in it, with extra tasty ingredients, in the convenience and size of a full wrap! There is a reason that we ordered three of them, and they were gone in a blink! The moussaka was a little light on the bechamel layer, but otherwise wonderful. The ground meat, sauce, and cheese were great with the layers of eggplant. Slightly different than the traditional Greek style I'm used to, but definitely tasty. The cold eggplant and tomato salad is a terrific side for any food from Caspian Grille. It's perfectly pickled, freshly made, and you can get as large a size to fit your hunger. An interesting new taste that I will get again next time. All in all, go here, and try out these delicious foods!Parking: Free strip-mall parking lot. Be sure to go in the correct entrance, or you will have to take a side street to get in.“

“We got the mixed grill to share between 3 people and had more than enough food. I liked the chicken skewers and meatballs the best. This was the perfect choice to try a little bit of everything. We added a side of fries and they were perfectly crispy. I would definitely come back!“
