“Came here at 8:30 on a Friday night with my family and the place was surprisingly empty. Ahmed, the owner, gave us a warm welcome and prompt service. He gave us several recommendations (we ordered them all) and every dish was great. We got the branzino, the lamb chops, the half grilled chicken, hummusand mishwia. While every dish was truly tasty, my two favorites were the branzino and mishwia. I told Ahmed it was my parents anniversary and he gave us tea and baklava on the house. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone. The food, the hospitality, and the service is top notch.“

“The lamb shoulder is so wonderful and tender and just the right amount of juicy-ness. The bean (soup?) dish reminded me of mom's amazing bean stew, which was just awesome. The bread, hummus and mezze were out of this world; I haven't tasted hummus that good - ever. And I was so impressed to see Chef Solomonov making my bread and standing in front of the oven just doing someone's job who had to take a break. And he owns a bunch of other restaurants! Keep it up, Chef.Okay, so I would have given 5 stars for service as the host stand did great, adjusting to my change in number of diners on the reservation and for putting me at the chef's counter, and for the server doing great, but I sat without water or anything else to drink for about 15 minutes. “Decided to go here last minute on a Friday night. Walked in and immediately felt like family. We were greeter by the owner, Luis and chatted with other guests while he was getting our table ready. I had the pork chop with finding potatoes and asparagus and my husband had short ribs with carrots and Farro. Food was beyond excellent. Everything was cooked to perfection. Dessert was also amazing. We also learned about Ramiz's history and how it's a chain. This location is the first one established in the US. We received complimentary mix appetizer plate of dips and tea! Karişik Soğuk Meze / Mix Appetizer Plate- Hummus, baba ghanoush, labneh, and spicy vegetable dip THE SPICY VEGETABLE DIP IS INCREDIBLE! MUST TRY! Turkish meatballs - insanely moist and delicious! Would highly recommend! Chicken Adana wrap - could have used more meat in it and the fries were lacking salt but that's easily fixable! Sütlaç -the oven baked pudding was good The table cloth on the tables kept moving which was a bit frustrating, not sure what other restaurants do to hold it down. Menu has so many options, something for everyone. Bringing your family or a big friend group is a good idea!“

“Yes, yes, yes! I have come here twice now and I don't plan on stopping any time soon. You can really tell how much care/time is put into the food. From the sides to mains, everything is a 10/10. The service is impeccable as well. You will not be disappointed. This is by far one of the best Mediterranean/Middle Eastern restaurants in the city. Portions are also huge. My first time at Estia was years ago for restaurant week and their lamb chops were one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten in Philly. More recently, I visited a second time. The lamb chops were a tad too salty this time so I was disappointed by that. My favorite item from the recent visit was the cheese saganaki which had nice flavor. My party did not enjoy the spanakopita. It was pretty bland. My friend loves spanakopita so she was excited to order it but she was very underwhelmed. I wouldn't recommend ordering that appetizer. We got the spreads pikilla, which came w/ 3 different spreads and pita. The spreads were pretty good! I've had better but they weren't bad. The fried calamari was one of the better calamari's I've had and the dipping sauce was really good too. The grilled shrimp was scrumptious but overpriced for just 4 pieces. Unfortunately the pasta ala grecca was very dry. It seemed like it was reheated. My partner got the chicken which was tasty and came w/ a flavorful orzo. I probably won't go back to Estia for a little while b/c of how the most recent visit went, with so many inconsistencies. But I'd love to circle back at some point, especially since I was so impressed during the first visit. The service is pretty good!“

“Stopped in on a lovely day to try Zorba's, sat outside at a sidewalk table. Nice crusty bread and dipping oil are served with dinner. Sampled many of their items with the charcoal grilled platter: kebabs, gyro, lamb lollipop, sausage, marinated chicken, orzo, buttery potato, and veggies. There was a lot so I might've forgotten something! All of the meats were grilled wonderfully and were still tender and flavorful. The spice / marinades are very good and will linger long after your meal reminding you how good it was. Great portion and a good deal to share. “I've tried a few different Ethiopian places and this is some of the best I've tried. Normally I'm not a huge fan of collard greens but I loved these, they were tender and delicious. The bread was thick and spongey and portioned correctly for the amount of vegetables in the platter. I would certainly return if I were in the area again.“

One of us got the beef shawarma sandwich and reported it to the best one ever tasted, especially the Lebanese style with pickles and French fries added in! The service on an early Saturday night was a little slow, but the food was hot when it came and worth the wait. “It's inside the Reading Terminal Market. Eat in or take away. There were several stools when I chose them for lunch, from all the options there. They have chicken, and lamb/beef combo roasting in front of you, they cut your sandwich from. Fresh tomato and onion bits inside a Pita. There is a white sauce, which I didn't have. Sandwich can come with fries and coke for under $15. I got a smaller portion of fries. All fresh and tasty. service was attentive and speedy. Very pleased with my visit.“

Wow were we off to a great start!The stuffed grape leaves were the first bite of the night that absolutely blew me away. They were soft, not bitter at all, and the rice inside was seasoned beautifully. I highly recommend you try them here!The manti was something we all tried for the first time and I wanted to eat that again and again. I wanted to swim in the broth that these beef dumplings were sitting in! I’m pretty sure we were all fighting over the last few servings of this dish and wanting to drink the liquid off our sharing plates unabashedly.The hummus was so smooth and velvety and delicious! Not a single bit was left on the spoon or plate in came in.For entree we all pretty much ordered the lamb kabob entree with rice pilaf and choice of sides. The lamb was juicy and flavorful and cooked beautifully. The rice was so flavorful I wanted to keep eating it! The muhamara was one of the sides i chose and tried for the first time and I’m obsessed with it - flavorful roasted red pepper dip with walnuts and molasses, it’s all blended as a type of dip and the pieces of walnuts make this dip feel almost meaty and deliciously satisfying. I also got the eggplant salad and the veggies were just cooked so beautifully, great balance of bite yet softness to the eggplant and seasoned well.My friends loved the tabouleh and babaganoush as their sides!I also had the Armenian coffee and baklava for dessert. The baklava was good - I wish there was a bit more nuts in between and some more syrup, but I tried a bite of my friends gatnabur (Armenian rice pudding with blossom water) and would really recommend getting that!Our server did not rush us at all even when we had a hard time deciding what to get, and even guided us through the menu and explained how it would be presented and what would be more shareable. Glad that we got to try the shallot and thyme one. The bread dough was pillowy with a shiny brown surface, while not feeling oily at all. The sweetness from the caramelized shallot and the herby fragrance from thyme made a harmonious flavor duet.＊1/2 Agrodolce Chicken**SERIOUSLY how could they make the chicken (even the chicken breast!) so tender and juicy? Also can we talk about the gremolata? It was fantastic as a dish itself, and add extra textures and tangy flavors if you spread it over the meat.＊Trofie (half)We know their carbs wouldn’t be as amazing as their proteins but we still wanted to try. The pasta was cooked to al dente. The mushroom truffle flavor was exactly what you could easily imagine. Nothing mindblowing here.＊Milk & Honey GelatoWe picked this right away because I saw it had “pistachio”. The honey was very sweet, but premium in flavor. My cravings was fully satisfied as they didn’t skimp on the crushed pistachios on top. Lowkey wished that the gelato melted a bit slower.“
