“We were passing through New Stanton, and had dinner at La Tavola. We sat at the bar, and had incredible service from Sandy, the bartender. The food was incredible. We had the artichoke appetizer, a Caesar salad, and the Veal Picatta and the special, which was a Swordfish with lump crabmeat. Also, the Crème Brûlée. All was incredible, and Chef Lou came out and chatted with us. A very special gem of a restaurant, which we would highly recommend!!“

“Unassuming, but good. The valuation is actually spot on which seems rare anymore. If your on the trail or in the river it's is very much worth the trip across the tracks. Dare I say it's the best breakfast on the trail between PIT or DC. I'm going 4 stars because it's a bit of an outlier that's under reviewed and deserves a bit more attention. If you can appreciate small town grit this is it.“

My husband ordered the Margherita pizza and it came with powdered cheese all over instead of the traditional style. The menu didn't indicate this. Also when we visited there were no vegetable sides which seemed odd.“
